  1. Or at least somewhat intelligent or subtle.
  2. Well the boy wants AWA this weekend 'cos a mate is coming along. Maybe the following weekend..... Does anyone know what's happening on the 25th? It's down as a special event.
  3. Will see what the boy wants to do as it's an AWA weekend too.
  4. Evening Peeps.... In the quest to find new sites for the boy to visit before he leaves for good, I was wondering if anyone had any views of Tower Airsoft in Billericay? Gallery pics look interesting, but wondering what game play was like? is there decent food there? Parking sensible? Airsoft Plantation looks pretty good too, especially with claims of the best burger van LOL. Have seen this one mentioned in a few profiles so would be fun to see members there if we managed it. Tah in advance!
  5. A bell end of the highest order.
  6. Best to post pics and more details in the appraisals section.
  7. Serious would be a hip flask facility ?
  8. Best of all it means "Cheers" in welsh. (more or less) I love little coincidences like that.
  9. How about a drinks holder?
  10. Some kind of Bluetooth tracking ability might be cool too. Saving time hunting for the little blighter after a game.
  11. https://youtu.be/4lu6K9Mi9Ps
  12. The first one would almost certainly be shown the underside of my size 12's.... The second one could be great - would the message be recordable?
  13. And our blue (printed in France I believe) passports back.
  14. I'll try adding them directly.... It was a copy paste from my Google photos album. Might see if making it public helps?
  15. Word to the wise.... Fed ex and TNT are merging, but they haven't updated their paperwork. I've just spent and exhausting 45 minutes going round in circles trying to find out what was going on and pay for a invoice for shipping some work related stuff from Poland. Turns out my invoice with FedEx all over it, actually comes from TnT. However they don't seem to have an online payment portal and i couldn't get out the Indian call centre whether or not the BACs details on the invoice are correct. Bloody Brexit. What a shyte idea that was! None of this was even a consideration before that omnishambles.
  16. huh, huh, huhhuh, you said short stroke, huhhuh, the piston. huh huhhuh
  17. I bought some slabs of foam cut to the size of my case and then got a heat knife to make shapes for my pews. Marked it out with a Sharpie and then worked away in a ventilated area. Took a bit of practice, but it worked well.
  18. Was at RIFT in Barton today. I'm not going to give a verdict as the place was a quagmire so the gameplay was exhausting. I think the open area could be great if they were able to have barricades erected, but I suppose that is not conducive with the 4x4 side of the business. Chrono was a bit weird as you were shooting parallel to the main road with no barriers, also no gun tagging to prove you had been through - just a name check. First game was defending/capturing several flags, which was good fun. I really felt sorry for the poor bastard that went full send through a waste deep puddle jumped into a good cover spot only to be taken out by a grenade 10 seconds later. I tried to "help" by attempting to shoot the nade into the puddle, but it was in vain. Some player had a gun capable of insane ranges as well. Several of us thought we were safe on a ridge line only to be picked off by this dude sitting in no man's land. We had a couple of good pincer manoeuvres against a guy with a riot shield who was leading a line of players up a path only for us to pick them off one by one from the back of thier line. The newly fixed Specna was on form shooting 280 fps on 28bbs. Honey Badger was much less fussy this time too, but binary firing mode seems to eat batteries and bbs like nobody's business. I also went for a tumble down a steep hill after being shot, twisting my toe and knee. At least I held the objective by myself for a long time before that only being shot by two players flanking me from two sides. I've decided that the Rapax M7 is not the gun for me. It's just too damn long. So I'll likely be putting it up for sale and looking for another Bullpup DMR to go with my SVU... Maybe an L86? Have to agree with @RostokMcSpoons (good to see you again chap ?) about the brief being too long, but the staff were indeed very helpful and fair in their marshaling. I wasn't to impressed with having to stage from the car park either, which lead to me having a flat battery in the van. Next time though I'll take a table so the doors don't have to be opened and closed all the time. So, my main moans were because of the wet weather making the gameplay too exhausting and genuinely dangerous at times. A bit better planning on my part, and making sure that the weather has been dry for a week beforehand will get rid of the main issues. The boy had one of his class mates have his first try of airsoft and absolutely loved it. Seemed to be a bit of a natural as well as he was very selective with his shots and threw himself into the game, jumping for cover and pushing objectives. He's certainly left us with a job of cleaning the pews next week LOL. Will certainly go back to give the place a fair crack, especially as its only ten minutes from home. But its got steep competition with our other regular fields. To give you some idea of the mud: The infamous hill that I was - some 20 minutes later - going to be rolling down very unceremoniously.?
  19. EBay is your friend if you're looking for for army surplus. Accessories and pouches are fairly cheap, but the price of the actual carrier has gone up.
  20. They're bastard fiddly though when you have chubby fingers, and in my case very little feeling in one thumb
  21. Good to know. Have bought a couple of boxes from the classifieds so I can make a DMR for the boy, and maybe a "cursed" build of some sort for my Specna.
  22. Interesting post. Thanks for the update, and confirmation that my experience wasn't a one off... Barring the fax machine. Which one could put down to me not giving enough notice before the flights. I'm back over at Christmas, so might have another butchers at the akihabara shops. ??
  23. If you are looking at cartilage damage, the operation is minor, btu can take an age to get on the NHS - best get yourself in the system for an MRI so they can pick it up early and take out minimal material. My first time round I left it so long that I was losing serious time out of the working day waiting for the damn thing to reset itself. Ended up getting a private scan in Japan to speed things up as the NHS wanted to wait 6 months just for the scan. Once that's done, the operation, if needed, is often scheduled quite quickly. Speaking from the perspective of having it done twice - once the day before the 7 7 bombings. Then the second time, I was got my operation done literally the day before the first lockdown. Any later and I would have been fecked.
  24. Certainly when it comes to knees and general weight. But then with age comes all sorts of regrets about what could have been in one's youth. Its one of the frustrations of being a father to a grumpy teenager. Mind you, I don't think the current generation of teenagers and twenty something's even know how to have real fun. Certainly when I look back to the shenanigans I got up to some 30 years ago LOL.
