Defo going to try those fields in the coming weeks. The size of the sites is my only thought as long truggages to respawn can be annoying. -
The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

A great day was had at AWA on Sunday. Red team dominated the day by winning every game by significant margins, but I'd put that down to a bias of rentals doing rental shit. One of whom was a rather cocky young lad that managed to piss a few of the regulars off; but instead of it being a bad thing, he kind of became a target of opportunity throughout the day. I took a corker of a shot to the bridge of my nose during the village domination game, which was claimed by two of the green team and it refused to stop bleeding for a good while; but the blood splatters added a bit more authenticity to my loadout. There was a small sub-group of us on each team that were actively going for each other which was good fun as we were camped together in the safe zone. Marshalls were on form as usual with the new gender neutral, standing rule of "don't be a genital" working well. One Marshall needs a bit of nature training as we lost a few minutes of a game due to an enforced ceasefire when a suspected dog was spotted in the game area.... Turned out to be a small dear... But to be fair a few idiots have been caught recently strolling through the game area not realising where they were; and there's nothing like a bit of piss taking to teach a lesson and have a laugh at the same time. I was duel wielding for most of the afternoon, with either the Honey Badger or Specna as a secondary to my SVU. Which is fine, but I need to come up with a sling configuration that allows me to stow the SVU without leaving it somewhere in the game zone. Currently I just hand carry the SVU with the secondary on a single point sling. Got more feeding issues with the two M4s, but I'm thinking it's more down to the mags than the guns. I have two flash mags that work perfectly with both, and that's enough really. The Auto 9 is still being unusable with it either just venting gas, or the mags not locking in place. Good job it looks awesome otherwise I might be upset at the cost LOL. Will see what happens when the ambient temperature reaches double figures, as the Glocks are still not great, but are improving with the temperatures. Will add the official pics when they upload them to Faceache. The site is fairly simple, but the regulars there, along with the Marshalls and owners make it a good chilled day with plenty of challenges. Touching Cloth is still my favourite game, but I prefer it when the objective is on top of The Bunker rather than in The Farm - it's the climbing of the hill to reach the objective with the defenders holding the lower ground on the other side that makes the challenge more satisfying (and painful). Shooting out of the bunker door at the enemy trying to flank you is a fun one (as long as they take their hits). We've had some epic battles there when the mist/light rain has been coming down and people were liberal with smoke grenades. It's close to something you'd see in Platoon or Apocalypse Now. I've found a hidey hole that gives great line of sight to the entrance, but it's next to impossible for someone there to spot you - although those manning the edges of the bunker can see you if they're paying attention. The Farm is more suited to the zombie infection style of games. Anyway... Got home at the end of the day only for SWMBO to declare the grass needed cutting again, so even after 7 miles worth of running around (according to my watch) I had more outside shit to do; but it was a lovely evening, and the boy was in a good mood after a fun day's pewing so it could have been worse, especially as we're trying to keep the true cost of this hobby on the downlow LOL. -

I have a couple of these from my early drone days: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263397035796?hash=item3d53afcf14:g:-okAAOSwFb5aAbga&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4LA5A%2BSTfATz9qtqVvxX%2B5T1b1XpRp39U%2BIzRuqe07NvxwFrYn3o%2B0%2Fn9KDKSheFQceDX1bd%2B2bQcmbb2C0WpssYGiZgwPJo0ltOet%2FMChBQ4HSkcKBvBIaq4TObmP%2Bsm47edb8aJiOGlENNyHrQ165AG6TxLXUxj%2FlFpjCNTucfzgalC2I8KHxdfJs85GCkmx%2FXJXfJvYx7ySps10SZqxQE5%2Buje1ZkZpxclVwB%2F8MbDEF0WB8VFZOuUKClUiNPzVkFgs9x46jG7XH5jWNJlNn%2BXoKDi0f%2FVaTRUiPBrel8|tkp%3ABFBMlpLTy-dh https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144603589018?hash=item21ab0ba99a:g:jA0AAOSwAKtiqaIz&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4JVY%2BAWWVZeklBqnj1VJNHP1wzEKsV5nAcN4X4G4GyerQ3a2zxljSz2wO26l5VqICD7GNBbsSJCo7jn%2B3kzx5m30nnTfM2R53QRXKwIikNpZp7%2B48gaAEfJNuxSF31lM6g19zsjOr%2Fj661hXztJUHGckD0FR1ywGfODUKFB9qWK58gmacuS3R7tkunLAQ6l6Q1WsBl9cIJGq94AzGhLlc3xJrawzYWHT72HRjeaaRaoGUoNXDc3G11Smqzpm8LgM%2Bd0fhk%2FoDhCIALvzbM6rEbL%2FL3YJPGbs1teWCYkKvK2Y|tkp%3ABFBMrOXWy-dh But they take a good while to charge. They can get you out of a hole if your site doesn't offer battery charging. Frankly though as said - it's easier to buy a couple of extra batteries.

Will see what the boy wants to do as it's an AWA weekend too. -
Evening Peeps.... In the quest to find new sites for the boy to visit before he leaves for good, I was wondering if anyone had any views of Tower Airsoft in Billericay? Gallery pics look interesting, but wondering what game play was like? is there decent food there? Parking sensible? Airsoft Plantation looks pretty good too, especially with claims of the best burger van LOL. Have seen this one mentioned in a few profiles so would be fun to see members there if we managed it. Tah in advance!

Some kind of Bluetooth tracking ability might be cool too. Saving time hunting for the little blighter after a game. -

The first one would almost certainly be shown the underside of my size 12's.... The second one could be great - would the message be recordable? -
And our blue (printed in France I believe) passports back.

I'll try adding them directly.... It was a copy paste from my Google photos album. Might see if making it public helps? -
Word to the wise.... Fed ex and TNT are merging, but they haven't updated their paperwork. I've just spent and exhausting 45 minutes going round in circles trying to find out what was going on and pay for a invoice for shipping some work related stuff from Poland. Turns out my invoice with FedEx all over it, actually comes from TnT. However they don't seem to have an online payment portal and i couldn't get out the Indian call centre whether or not the BACs details on the invoice are correct. Bloody Brexit. What a shyte idea that was! None of this was even a consideration before that omnishambles.

I bought some slabs of foam cut to the size of my case and then got a heat knife to make shapes for my pews. Marked it out with a Sharpie and then worked away in a ventilated area. Took a bit of practice, but it worked well.

Was at RIFT in Barton today. I'm not going to give a verdict as the place was a quagmire so the gameplay was exhausting. I think the open area could be great if they were able to have barricades erected, but I suppose that is not conducive with the 4x4 side of the business. Chrono was a bit weird as you were shooting parallel to the main road with no barriers, also no gun tagging to prove you had been through - just a name check. First game was defending/capturing several flags, which was good fun. I really felt sorry for the poor bastard that went full send through a waste deep puddle jumped into a good cover spot only to be taken out by a grenade 10 seconds later. I tried to "help" by attempting to shoot the nade into the puddle, but it was in vain. Some player had a gun capable of insane ranges as well. Several of us thought we were safe on a ridge line only to be picked off by this dude sitting in no man's land. We had a couple of good pincer manoeuvres against a guy with a riot shield who was leading a line of players up a path only for us to pick them off one by one from the back of thier line. The newly fixed Specna was on form shooting 280 fps on 28bbs. Honey Badger was much less fussy this time too, but binary firing mode seems to eat batteries and bbs like nobody's business. I also went for a tumble down a steep hill after being shot, twisting my toe and knee. At least I held the objective by myself for a long time before that only being shot by two players flanking me from two sides. I've decided that the Rapax M7 is not the gun for me. It's just too damn long. So I'll likely be putting it up for sale and looking for another Bullpup DMR to go with my SVU... Maybe an L86? Have to agree with @RostokMcSpoons (good to see you again chap 👍) about the brief being too long, but the staff were indeed very helpful and fair in their marshaling. I wasn't to impressed with having to stage from the car park either, which lead to me having a flat battery in the van. Next time though I'll take a table so the doors don't have to be opened and closed all the time. So, my main moans were because of the wet weather making the gameplay too exhausting and genuinely dangerous at times. A bit better planning on my part, and making sure that the weather has been dry for a week beforehand will get rid of the main issues. The boy had one of his class mates have his first try of airsoft and absolutely loved it. Seemed to be a bit of a natural as well as he was very selective with his shots and threw himself into the game, jumping for cover and pushing objectives. He's certainly left us with a job of cleaning the pews next week LOL. Will certainly go back to give the place a fair crack, especially as its only ten minutes from home. But its got steep competition with our other regular fields. To give you some idea of the mud: The infamous hill that I was - some 20 minutes later - going to be rolling down very unceremoniously.🤣
