  1. I'm trying not to criticise the US too much because I know the UK system is far from perfect.... FFS my dad is safety officer for his Clay shoot and he can't tell the teals from the specs in his vision 🤣. But at the same time I was genuinely emotional when I saw a video of a parent teaching her 5 year old what to do in the event of a school shooting and which way round to the put the body armour panel into her backpack. I mean - how fucked is a society where this is the norm and people think that having every Tom Dick and Harry armed to the teeth is anything other than a bad idea. Australia sorted their shit after Port Arthur and all their subsequent half dozen or so "mass shootings", bar one, have been people going nuts and shooting family members. Switzerland is a bit of an anomaly in that they still have conscription, which I think is a good idea, but are also a neutral country - their take on potential invasions is fairly unique. However, they average less than one mass shooting per year. We have only had nine since Dunblane and of those some didn't have any fatalities. They see the registration process as some form of infringement of their rights - not considering that they have to register and insure their cars. Well the non sov-cits anyway.
  2. The irony of making replicas harder to buy and use than the real thing.
  3. House was still standing this morning... Even after I converted the two l85s to Deans as well as the new 11.1 batteries. Although my mate who was being a second pair of hands got branded by my soldering iron 🤣🤣🤣
  4. Nice collection there dude..... I was pondering the l86 myself? I didn't know ics did a blowback L85.
  5. Ouch. Is it because you have them hanging with the handle touching the racks? I purposely hang mine charging handles out..... The boy's L85 handle is lose and always has been.... We have a Web page for a spare saved for when it happens 🤣
  6. There you go... All out 7.4s ranging from 1100 to 2700mAh getting put in storage voltage....
  7. Ooohhh. Where are these hiding in the Internet?
  8. This is an expensive hobby and shit breaks for the silliest of reasons. Trust is essential, but also why I am hopefully repair most issues... Although I think one of my gun's will always be beyond me.... Gradually getting to grips with the ics L85, especially as we have two in the collection.... Next up will be the boy's bolt action which has less range and accuracy than his Glock 17 🤣
  9. Interesting you say that because when his doesn't shoot, there is a much different click from the trigger. Bearing in mind that I had to remove the unit to get at the grip screw. I call BS 🤣😜
  10. I don't remember pewing you - but the boy says sorry not sorry for shooting you in the back three times. 😁😁🤣
  11. Holy shit balls - £120 for a motor..... Was kinda hoping for something nearer the £30 - £50 mark. LOL
  12. Here we go - part of the Dream Team: Me Being Sneaky Boi: The Boy considering his life choices:
  13. I just seem to have bad luck when it comes to lining up the selector arm with the gearbox doodad.... The boy's A2 doesn't reliably sit in auto mode since I took it apart to tighten the pistol grip that had come loose.
  14. 7.4's? I ran mine for the first time this weekend and the ROF was awful - put 11.1 in there and it was much happier. Although still lethargic. Anyway - I'll start a different thread about that once I have had a bit of time to accustom myself to the pew.
  15. Last two techs I used were Airsoft Monkey and Cage Airsoft. Monkey was fine, but I think is too rushed/over worked. Cage Airsoft were pretty reasonable, quick turn around and didn't over egg the work required. Have tried to contact Negative Airsoft - but I think he ignores contact from people with guns he doesn't want to work on.
  16. can confirm those hits can be worse than being domed - although the end of a finger can be a tad gnarly too.
  17. Thanks for the advice - will take a look at the options. The AXR didn't get anything through it that it shouldn't, but I think one of the wires came loose where they are soldered onto the PCB and shorted something out, as the plastic protection has started to come adrift too.
  18. Well you'd be no fecking use in a line-up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  19. Well my lower back is in bits after Matrixing the shit out of some shots coming my way yesterday at Special Ops. But it was a good day all in all apart from the money thing. The only hit taking issue I thought I had turned out to be debarking a tree where the person I was shooting at was hiding - but he is one of the regulars with a VERY effective HPA setup, so he and I had a laugh afterwards about how I kept him suppressed for a fair few minutes until he head-shotted me. Oh and one of the rentals in a grey hoodie - but it was quite fun seeing the flinching so it didn't bother me too much. @RostokMcSpoons and I had a couple of games where we setup a good cross-fire from a building and held the objective for considerable lengths of time which was fun and racked us both up some goodly kill tallies to the obvious frustration of the other team. On the first rolling defence game we won by default because I played sneaky-boi and wasn't discovered until the rolling respawn of the other team game passed me and I was effectively spawn camping to the confusion of the opposition wondering why they were being shot from behind. LOL, after taking a few out it was decided by me and a marshal that I just relinquished the position and went down to the final defence post where the rest of my team were. I was going to insist that they should be forced to use their original spawn point, but by that time they all knew where I was anyway so it would have been a painful if not amusing last stand. New L85A3 was a little bit of let down in operation (but not looks), partly because it really needed 11.1v rather than the 7.4v I was feeding it; but also as seems to be my lot in this hobby, all the bb's were flying off the left. So once again I fell back on my good old, cheap, Specna which did its duty with honour despite still having my shitty cheap ACOG on . Also had a successful test run of some new eye protection with a built in fan. Which did the job, took several direct hits without blemish and makes me look like a member of Daft Punk. Annoyingly the batteries died mid afternoon and I forgot to bring the spares from the safe zone. So onto the site's rental face mask I went 🤢. Didn't work out who @-Cowboy- was, but for reference, @RostokMcSpoonsand I were on the blue team and stopped all the runs down the right hand side of the map to the AA gun and Ping Ping City. 👍😁 When they post up the pics of the day I'll put a few up if only so you lot can laugh at the Eye pro situation. Will be going back in a few weeks as it will be AWA next week, hopefully with some tech work having been done to the L85, although I am a bit nervous taking it apart as its not as mechanically simple as the M4s. Fun times.
  20. The mosfet in the boy's Specna has shit itself and needs replacing. Are there any better three wire mosfets worth looking at, or should I just get another one? Tah muchly.
  21. They need to be the same voltage so it can balance the cells properly through the charger, but the little white plug pins are all wired in series on the breadboard so the cells in each battery balance themselves against each other whilst your charger regulates the in and out volts. If you mix the voltages your charger will throw up an error message. Well my Sky B6 charger does anyway. different mahs do not matter as its all down to individual cell voltages (which makes one wonder why battery voltage matters).
  22. I use one of these and do all mine at once: LiPo Life Parallel Charging Board Balance Charger Charging Adapter, for Li-Ion Batteries https://amzn.eu/d/8mYtfrx
  23. Now that SWMBO has gone.... I can finally get my peg board up and display the new family... Just need a couple more hooks for the Glock collection.
