  1. Got these for the Battle-Sim on Sunday. Will try them out on Saturday at High Wycombe.
  2. We're We're going there on Saturday now... Then REDCON 2 again on Sunday..... I'm going to be fucked by Monday.
  3. All good ideas there. The impitus is trying to keep the kids entertained in an unfamiliar area... So "regular one offs" if that makes sense. However, seeing as the two boys have their own pews now, airsoft is a pretty good dya out by my book. However, I've just remembered that we have Chicksands Bike park just round the corner, and my mate Bubee (yes that's his real name) runs the little Thai food stand there. Man his chicken satay skewers are awesome. Make sure you pay though. He has a rather excessive knife collection in the tailor. 😱 Yeah, I have a small squadron of DJI drones ranging from a Mavix Air up to an Inspire 1 (up for sale with a tonne of extras if anyone is interested). There are a lot of small air fields round here and an army base, so a lot of airspace is restricted..... Oh an Luton Airport 😂 My lad is in the Army cadets. But my reason for the thread is to help a mate who's living I my spare room for a spell, entertain his teens on the occasional weekends they are staying at my place as well. I wish I let him join the Cadets a lot sooner though. It certainly helped bring him out of his shell. He met Princess Margaret last weekend. Had quite an involved chat with her apparently.
  4. My mate (see thread about starter pew) is looking for distractions for his two teenagers... So far, startup costs not withstanding, airsoft seems to me to be the best value day out.... We looked at Cinema, Gokarting, skiing, laser tag. Anyone else got a better way to entertain older kids for a day? Personally I think airsoft pretty much tops nearly everything else that's legal.
  5. Welcome. Might be down your neck of the woods this summer.... Well I will be at the end of the month, but I'll be shooting real steel this time. As mentioned... Get some form of lower face / teeth protection as after nearly 2 years of being lucky, I have a stick together incisor courtesy of a well aimed burst of fire. Not painful at the time, but jolly inconvenient.
  6. Back to REDCON 2 next week for the Battle-Sim.

  7. It was an emergency appointment in Cambridge - took me an hour to get there - but I was just happy to get an appointment. I was also only expecting him to pull out either the whole tooth, or the flappy half. Not sure if this is a national number, but I called 0300 5556667 and they organised it as an emergency based on my postcode.
  8. When I was at university I went out with a hand model. (and yes her face was pretty too 😁).
  9. To be fair, once I found one this morning, the dentist only charged £25 to stick it back on and take an x-ray. Have to go back in a month to see if its still "alive" otherwise it will be a crown or an implant. Gave me a prescription for some super strong pain killers too. So happy days (ahem).
  10. Certainly a lesson learned. Will have a look at those snoodies too.
  11. Nah - I'm stubbornly stupid like that. What are the chances of it happening to me? Well, after the fact - 1 in 1. Will be trying out a gumshield next week to see how I get on. I have had my skin broken many times by AEGs, Bolt actions at distances of 30m or more. So I have no idea what @AirSniperis wittering on about. Perhaps my flappy tooth is hate and scorn too @Cannonfodder?
  12. Pretty much what happened to me yesterday at REDCON 2. 30 metres, pretty sure it was an AEG. snapped my left incisor in two. Thankfully, a bit of pulp held on, and it spent the rest of the day flapping about in my mouth. Dentist said the break was just, by microns, below the nerve, so there is hope the tooth will survive now it's glued back together. Otherwise a very fun day on a big field, but not too big. Rain made it interesting, but without ruining things. Over 200 players on the field too. L85 and Honeybadger were pews of preference, but for some reason the trigger on the L85 decided to not always return after pressing..... Which of course it did the moment I broke cover to take out some choice targets. Resulting in an amusing "of fuck" jump back behind the tree. There were a few questionable moments on hit taking. I was certain the person standing 5 metres in front was hit several times as I jumped behind cover. Then I took a gun hit (as verbalised by an opposition shooter on the other side of my cover) seconds later. Mind you, by this stage of the day I was more concerned with using my tongue to keep my lose tooth in place 🤣🤣. But with those numbers too - a few "issues" or questionable moments are to be expected. Right.... Now I'm off to by a gumshield for next weekend. Will Post up some picks of the day when. R. I. F. T. upload them. #hpawankers
  13. That's when they turn into flamey popping things. LOL
  14. Yeah - I have an account with Wise, and they have the facility to auto convert at certain exchange rates. I'm wondering how much and what level is worth a punt seeing as I have to buy a load of furniture soon. SWMBO has declared we need a new sofa, and a new internet connection because the one we have can't support a decent video call. FFS - my life is one constant financial drain on multiple sides. Thank the maker I can go and shoot people tomorrow for therapy 😁
  15. Welcome back! The boy is going out for good in 3 weeks 😔. Mind you with the exchange rate the way it is - that SCAR is looking tempting. How much was that bottom G36 ?
  16. I love my Leaf - we're on our second now. Certainly solved the argument me and SWMBO were having over getting a manual or Automatic. Best of all I am on a V2G scheme, so get £90 or so month back in the leccy. Haven't changed a brake pad since 2018 either LOL. Only downside is it doesn't like using Android Auto for sat nav and audio - the head unit keeps rebooting at random. Although having Google maps in "overview mode" is usually fine.
  17. I've yet to have first hand experience, but I do travel through their favourite London areas frequently. I'm not sure how I would react, but those oil based banners and high vis vests may be used as a weapon against them. Have thought about signing myself up to one of their training days and taking some used oil from my van and giving them a taste of their own medicine. I'm all for saving the planet - hell, I drive an electric car, install heat pumps and have been ahead of the curve with domestic heating controls for 15 years. But those tossers deserve a good hiding for their clueless ill informed shenanigans. Ironically funded by a descendant of the Getty family. Aaaaaaannnnnnnndddddddd breathe.
  18. Can we include Stop Oil Protesters in that too?
  19. Too right. The number of times I've taken a tumble, and hurt myself to protect the pew are too many to count. The only time I get annoyed is when I'm walking off with my hand up and someone shoot you in the arris. FFS you're paying good money to be shot at, and we spend a lot of money making sure we can shoot mofo's. Why the feck would you whine about it? LOL?
  20. Glen Cerio is hilarious though with his 400 level English and legs weeps. I've drawn blood plenty of times. I see it as a mark of having fun and getting into the shit making the most of the money I and the fucker that shot me spent on ammunition.
  21. I see we have the same YouTube habits LOL Better comedy than what's on most TV channels.
  22. Not strictly for me But thought it a good starter for my mate's youngest who we took out the other weekend. Gearbox has a nice sound to it and seems pretty responsive. Post Offices in Reading will not be safe again. LOL Patrolbase were excellent in that the original one we chose wasn't in stock, but they price matched this and got it out for next day delivery with zero fuss.
