The take down and first time "trouble shooting"
Dan Robinson replied to Jaylordofwaargh's topic in Electric Guns
It might be worth investing in those anti reversal latch holder doo dads - that fecking thing drove me to distraction. @ak2m4 has them on his shop. -

Is it fair to list Flicking Cuntstain twice? Actually yes it is...? If you look at Airsoft GI and (unrelated) Linus Tech Tips and how they developed over the years it should give you confidence to carry on and grow, but as said - take the advice on board... And if following the LTT route - get a hot Asian pharmacist wife (with an even hotter sister) to bank roll you for a few years LOL.

Yep, grip needs to come off. Also, I found on my boy's m16, you need a fair bit of force to get the rear of the gearbox past the back of the receiver. On my Specna, it slid out nicely. Beware of the spring tension too. -
Tried to find the Marylin Monroe droid clip, but this was the best I could get...

Yeah I saw those vids, a week after I got it LOL. But then you get the recent threads here with people criticising brands that others have had no bother with so a lot comes down to pot luck and personal experience. There's a few Rapax users at my regular fields and they are happy with them. NA also did a vid a few weeks after I got my Cyma SVU, and he was far from complimentary about that gun too. Go figure ???. To be honest, as long as I get close to what I need to get it's replacement I'd be happy.

Looks like I picked the wrong night to quit being a clever dick. -
Have uploaded some pics. Discovered a couple of small scratches where the pressure pad was for the laser, which I decided to take off as it was pointless really.

Ooohhh. They must be a different set to my last pair... Thanks for the heads up.

Not sure if I class as having a narrow head, but I have used these for a while and they are a snug fit with excellent antifog. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353954229136 Lenses are not interchangeable, but they do different types.

Best worst airsoft accesoires
Dan Robinson replied to Smiling-Dutchman's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Had that a few weeks ago, but the other way round which was a bit sneaky - Blue team had a couple of players wearing red gloves. -
Decided that although I love the gun, it is too long (arf) and I much prefer bullpups. Will put some pics up in a bit, but it's only been run 4 or 5 times, has original box, 7 mid cap mags. Gun is in very good condition with only a few rub marks where the stock has been taken on and off for battery changes. Was £530 new in December with 2 mags, then 5 extra mags were another £75. It currently has a bipod and 3-9x scope with laser and holographic sight on it which were another £160 when new - these can be sold with it, or not. Thoughts would be appreciated.

My brother is an audiophile like few others - even designed his own turntable with air cushioned arm that remained parallel to the grooves on the vinyl. A fraction of his Beatles collection bought him a racing tuned E-type from the US... Any who he had me helping him run copper speaker cables under his music room floor - which took fecking hours because of the construction. When we got the last run of it through he realised it was the wrong way round. Took even longer to extricate the stuff and put it in the right way. Apparently its the way the copper is extruded LOL. Whilst think it was a load of boolacks, to be fair to him he can tell the difference between different pressings of records, and his music system is pretty impressive. Can I interest sir in a bespoke unit? ? -
Newbie just a thanks for adding me

I have a "work from home on Mondays" policy. Easily enforced as I'm my own boss; and by god do I need it. Thankfully though, the more I play, the shorter the recovery time has become. -
Welcome! From my perspective, spending £150 on a brand new M4 (Specna Edge C12 was mine) will give you something easily and cheaply upgraded to be a solid backstop for when you grow your collection and get the eventual problems we have all experienced. Keep it stock internally until either it has proven itself to you or the warranty has gone.

I agree a reply should be sent.... But bear in mind we don't know how people's lives run. I've been off the forum for a few weeks due to work and family; so there might well be a valid reason. But having contributed in a professional capacity of forums giving advice to people, it was very annoying when an answer was given potentially saving someone thousands of pounds, and there wasn't ever a thanks given (which was all we were ever after).

As part of my promise to get him to as many fields as we can before he leaves, the boy and I were there yesterday too. Was very impressed by the safe zone and the Marshalls. Struggled with the morning games which I am putting down to not knowing the map, and suffering a few technical issues (one of his AEG's was firing whilst in safe mode and without pulling the trigger, which I think is a dodgy mosfet) and my Double Eagle was more a Splatter Gun than a rifle. There were a couple of teenagers "shooting a video" which was their excuse for being thoroughly annoying by playing music during the game play, but I managed to keep out of their way for most of the day. Really enjoyed the last game as our team had to get a stretcher with kings hats on it, across the majority of the map with the Blue team, I assume, on a rolling retreat. My Specna was on form shooting nice and straight, but not as far as liked. Was pretty impressive to see the food van clearing the queue, and this was the biggest number I've seen on a gameday at one event too. We should be going back to AP for the two day event at the end of the month, although I'm not sure how my legs will cope. I have a thermal camera for work ,so that will make night ops an interesting one - although I'm a little worried about the lens LOL. Had a god day at Reforger the other week too, although I didn't get many kills. I nearly put an end to my chances of being a grandfather when I lobbed a smoke grenade to cover the Boy's final sprint to the objective (suicide bombing the plane) only for it to land short - right between his legs and nearly cauterised his family jewels. It's a shame we're out of sync with our regular sites' gamedays, but once SWMBO has fecked off for the summer I can sneak in extra days - but mum's the word on that one ?. -

How are you squeezing one of those inside? My 1300mah are a tight fit already. Have you a linky to the battery? -

Defo going to try those fields in the coming weeks. The size of the sites is my only thought as long truggages to respawn can be annoying. -

A great day was had at AWA on Sunday. Red team dominated the day by winning every game by significant margins, but I'd put that down to a bias of rentals doing rental shit. One of whom was a rather cocky young lad that managed to piss a few of the regulars off; but instead of it being a bad thing, he kind of became a target of opportunity throughout the day. I took a corker of a shot to the bridge of my nose during the village domination game, which was claimed by two of the green team and it refused to stop bleeding for a good while; but the blood splatters added a bit more authenticity to my loadout. There was a small sub-group of us on each team that were actively going for each other which was good fun as we were camped together in the safe zone. Marshalls were on form as usual with the new gender neutral, standing rule of "don't be a genital" working well. One Marshall needs a bit of nature training as we lost a few minutes of a game due to an enforced ceasefire when a suspected dog was spotted in the game area.... Turned out to be a small dear... But to be fair a few idiots have been caught recently strolling through the game area not realising where they were; and there's nothing like a bit of piss taking to teach a lesson and have a laugh at the same time. I was duel wielding for most of the afternoon, with either the Honey Badger or Specna as a secondary to my SVU. Which is fine, but I need to come up with a sling configuration that allows me to stow the SVU without leaving it somewhere in the game zone. Currently I just hand carry the SVU with the secondary on a single point sling. Got more feeding issues with the two M4s, but I'm thinking it's more down to the mags than the guns. I have two flash mags that work perfectly with both, and that's enough really. The Auto 9 is still being unusable with it either just venting gas, or the mags not locking in place. Good job it looks awesome otherwise I might be upset at the cost LOL. Will see what happens when the ambient temperature reaches double figures, as the Glocks are still not great, but are improving with the temperatures. Will add the official pics when they upload them to Faceache. The site is fairly simple, but the regulars there, along with the Marshalls and owners make it a good chilled day with plenty of challenges. Touching Cloth is still my favourite game, but I prefer it when the objective is on top of The Bunker rather than in The Farm - it's the climbing of the hill to reach the objective with the defenders holding the lower ground on the other side that makes the challenge more satisfying (and painful). Shooting out of the bunker door at the enemy trying to flank you is a fun one (as long as they take their hits). We've had some epic battles there when the mist/light rain has been coming down and people were liberal with smoke grenades. It's close to something you'd see in Platoon or Apocalypse Now. I've found a hidey hole that gives great line of sight to the entrance, but it's next to impossible for someone there to spot you - although those manning the edges of the bunker can see you if they're paying attention. The Farm is more suited to the zombie infection style of games. Anyway... Got home at the end of the day only for SWMBO to declare the grass needed cutting again, so even after 7 miles worth of running around (according to my watch) I had more outside shit to do; but it was a lovely evening, and the boy was in a good mood after a fun day's pewing so it could have been worse, especially as we're trying to keep the true cost of this hobby on the downlow LOL. -

I have a couple of these from my early drone days: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263397035796?hash=item3d53afcf14:g:-okAAOSwFb5aAbga&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4LA5A%2BSTfATz9qtqVvxX%2B5T1b1XpRp39U%2BIzRuqe07NvxwFrYn3o%2B0%2Fn9KDKSheFQceDX1bd%2B2bQcmbb2C0WpssYGiZgwPJo0ltOet%2FMChBQ4HSkcKBvBIaq4TObmP%2Bsm47edb8aJiOGlENNyHrQ165AG6TxLXUxj%2FlFpjCNTucfzgalC2I8KHxdfJs85GCkmx%2FXJXfJvYx7ySps10SZqxQE5%2Buje1ZkZpxclVwB%2F8MbDEF0WB8VFZOuUKClUiNPzVkFgs9x46jG7XH5jWNJlNn%2BXoKDi0f%2FVaTRUiPBrel8|tkp%3ABFBMlpLTy-dh https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144603589018?hash=item21ab0ba99a:g:jA0AAOSwAKtiqaIz&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4JVY%2BAWWVZeklBqnj1VJNHP1wzEKsV5nAcN4X4G4GyerQ3a2zxljSz2wO26l5VqICD7GNBbsSJCo7jn%2B3kzx5m30nnTfM2R53QRXKwIikNpZp7%2B48gaAEfJNuxSF31lM6g19zsjOr%2Fj661hXztJUHGckD0FR1ywGfODUKFB9qWK58gmacuS3R7tkunLAQ6l6Q1WsBl9cIJGq94AzGhLlc3xJrawzYWHT72HRjeaaRaoGUoNXDc3G11Smqzpm8LgM%2Bd0fhk%2FoDhCIALvzbM6rEbL%2FL3YJPGbs1teWCYkKvK2Y|tkp%3ABFBMrOXWy-dh But they take a good while to charge. They can get you out of a hole if your site doesn't offer battery charging. Frankly though as said - it's easier to buy a couple of extra batteries.
