Double Eagle or spend more?
Dan Robinson replied to Gunboat Diplomat's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
At 6'7", 130KG with a rig carrying 4 or 5 high caps and often an Odin full of BBs then I tend to go for the "fuck it and run" strategy over the stealth approach. That being said - we flanked the humans in the Zombie game quite effectively. -
I got one from Carlos and the thing never worked. Dumps its gas on the first trigger pull. Real shame as it looks the part.

Society really is turning into a bunch of melts LOL. At university I had a stereo so loud, that when we held a house party, the Student Union bar used to send a member of staff to our hall of residence/house 300m away to ask us to turn it down. Oh man I could tell some stories...… After we left, they turned our place into an Islamic studies building. Apparently we were the last straw in a long line of cohorts that knew how to have a good time. Life is getting so sanitised now it's no wonder our kids are the way they are. -

Based on last time I was there Ping Ping is too confined for medics, as you rightly pointed out, the opposition will think you're not taking your hits because 5 medics can cover the entire area too effectively. We really struggled to break your team last time in the afternoon. Whereas you took over BBC quite quickly in the morning. -
Is the people from Dunstable opening up a new place? If they do, hope they get a nice mix of outdoor/indoor like the last place did. Had a few good days there last summer. Special Ops are opening up a new place soon (soon has been the time line for the last year though) which is supposed to be a mixed site as well.

I was wondering how it would work with tat may barrels. You could design one that only had one effective barrel perhaps to simulate a minigun. 5 adjustable hops on a single gun would be a nightmare LOL.

Bro needs to sort out his hop.

Can my edge 2.0 run on a Nuprol 11.1v 2000MAH LI-ION battery?
Dan Robinson replied to eprosser08's topic in General Help
Oh. That's what I have the..... Although touch wood, few problems apart from the boy's one shitting itself the other week... Which I put down to a dodgy cable connection rather than an out and out failure. -
Motor Adjustment Height impossible to change.

Currently - from memory - the wires both up the grip one at the front, one at the rear as they exit the gearbox that way. I doubt the gearbox exit holes could take two wires. Looking at your pic - both wires run up the rear of the grip. I have a few more work emails to do, cook dinner, take the boy drumming, possibly walk some body else's dog (that's four times now ffs), then I can have a look at the pew. -

LOL - I remember seeing your lad, but you were far to well camofl------ oh wait... ? My ALWAYS optimistic dashes are in the vain hope to encourage the rest of my team to follow suit. It never works though. Perhaps I should return with less blood leaking and fewer missing magazines? -

Nathan and I had a chuckle about that (or possibly a similar event later). He said that when I bolted out of cover, a split second later there was just a wall of BBs flying past that formed an arc as I legged it up a path. Mind you there is a possibility that when you're sprinting through brambles, the impact from BBs might not be as noticeable as the adrenaline and thorns etc. My forearms at the end of the day were testimony to that chance. -

That's how it was when I took it apart initially, so I just put it back that way thinking it correct. Will have a crack at it again this evening - although I'm not convinced the red cable would be long enough. We shall see. Many thanks. -

Must be a VERY good foregrip.... Yo just can't see it clearly. -

All I can think of it the wire is too short, and they are crossing the base of the grip diagonally , holding the motor up and thus not hitting the bevel gear cleanly. This might also explain the occasional feeding issue we have if the gearbox is subsequently not cycling cleanly? How chunky does the cable have to be? -
Can my edge 2.0 run on a Nuprol 11.1v 2000MAH LI-ION battery?
Dan Robinson replied to eprosser08's topic in General Help
Sweet. Thanks - might start using them in mine then. -
Right - the boy's M16 sounds like a tortured cat, which I am confident is mainly the motor adjustment height, although a shim or two in the box might be a thing. However, the motor is jammed so tight in the grip that there is no movement. It seems that the wires are jamming it against the inside of the grip. Any ideas for a more spacious grip? Or am I missing something obvious? Tah in Advance.

Does the MOSFET in Specna's have active breaking? Genuine question. -
Not really - as a bottle of wine and a significant G&T later, I can't remember where I put it for safe keeping. *sigh*. Still the gun worked yesterday, albeit it sounded like a cat being swung by its tail - but I know that is down to the motor height and the gearbox maybe needing a shim.

Sorry I didn't get to put a face to your name again - or are you were avoiding me? ? Fantastic morning with the games working really well with the low numbers. First game of infected saw me as one of the zombies, so I felt great delight when I saw the fruit of my loins cowering in a tent... Just inside of my pew's "ow that hurts range" ?. He was not best pleased when he found out it was me. LOL The Zone holding game in the morning was epic with the Blue team clearing us out of the first zone pretty quickly, for us to hold the second zone indefinitely. I suffered a knife kill in the first zone as I was hiding under a tarp, but one of my boots was poking out. Sad times - but I know the perpetrator and will get revenge. Me, and a couple of others were holding the second objective with the rest of the team forming a defensive line; and the poor medics running overtime to keep us in the game. I enjoyed very much taking out a Tree Wookie (not sure where I heard that first, but I'm using it from now on for Ghillies) who kept running down the same path to the same cover - must have been 5 times at least. LOL. He got me later though when I didn't feel a hit on my pouch from his pistol, so he shot me in the arse point blank. Fairs fair though. A bunch of rentals turned up in the afternoon who had a liberal attitude to hit taking - it certainly wasn't present in the morning - but with the overall numbers that low, it was easy enough to ignore and enjoy the games. Although some were a bit salty on both teams. The subsequent reversal of the zone game saw the Blues take an age to be routed from zone 1 (although they had a slightly easier job as it was a different part of the map to the morning which is harder to overrun). Pretty sure @RostokMcSpoonsand I exchanged a few kills too.... Not sure if he was one of those that lit me up as I tried to get to an extraction tent at one point. Literally got to within a few feet of the door when all hell broke loose in the form of full auto from what felt like half a dozen guns. Damn my choice of short sleeves LOL. L85 and Specna were my pews of choice, lending my SVU and Auto 9 to my buddy for his second serious outing of Airsoft after last weeks inauguration. His eldest had a DE Honey badger and I lent mine to his youngest. Good to see them enjoy the day too as they had only had a 2 hour session at a place in Reading which they apparently were not impressed with when it came to comparative organisation with Spec Ops. The SVU was shooting on the limit and apparently very accurately despite a weird malfunction with a mag not allowing the trigger to spring back, and I've discovered my L85 has a ridiculous rate of fire with the field chrono reading 35rps at one point on an 11.1 battery. This explains why I chomped through so many BBs. The Jerk Chicken and Burger lunch was awesome too - both helpings (sorry @RostokMcSpoonsLOL). According to the old smart watch I managed 12 miles yesterday, although 2 were walking someone else's dog and a significant amount of the rest was running, so I was amazed at how relatively fresh I was feeling this morning. It must be the new boots and lighter weight rig I got from the other threads. Either that or my fitness levels are increasing. -
Would you fecking believe it..... I sit at my kitchen breakfast bar to do most things including working on my pews. I don't watch TV, but have a tablet on said counter to watch my plex server or YouTube etc..... This is charged through a quick detach magnetic charging cable. Guess what managed to catch, mid flight, the tiny spring? Yep.... My tablet's charging magnet. I was wondering why the battery was draining ????.

That hop is currently sitting in the boy's M16..... It may well see its way back to my Specna as i learn more about hops and bucking. I agree too with the polymer. Often times I feel more secure with it's durability than I do with some of my all metal pews.
