    I’m the complete opposite. Everything gets chucked into it! Odin speed loader, green gas, spare batteries, food, medications, tools, soft cover, towel, eye pro, spare eye pro, face pro and if there’s some room left a few more mags 😂

    This G36KA4 build is going to be the death of me. Parts held at customs and incurred charges. The hop up I managed to get fitted has fell apart. The K length inner barrel has put the fps to 360 and the selector plate has failed. All a few days before I’m going to a game 🤬

      Hey bud, I switched the stock out from one of my other models. The A4 uses the standard IDZ stock. It’s an S&T stock which went on perfectly. I got it originally from bespoke but they only have tan now. 
       

      I’m trying to source the concaved version as it’s more kosher to the build but the S&T one I have on my C doesn’t lock into place at all. It’s a nightmare 😂

      It does my nut in having the matte nylon of the Specna stuff (hensolt carry handle scope/dot, KV stock) with the shiny squeaky externals of a JG that's fuck knows how old lol, honestly scared to buy any more stuff for the thing as I've pumped enough money into it (what started as 'hm i'll see if i can get this amp draw issue fixed it's overheating' turned into 'hm let's send it to neg down south and spend 300 quid on a second hand JG I bought off used airsoft) lmao

      And now it's playing silly buggers and skips half the rounds in the mag intermitently, even on 7.4 : (

      I know the pain. I have 4 JG’s from varying years, they all have their own issues. The KA4 was an ares/Umarex I got from here, wanted to replace the burst fire so tried an S&T gearbox that worked fine but couldn’t take a gate titan. Stuck an old gen (No QSC etc) JG gearbox into it after retrofitting and then I’ve had nothing but issues since 😅 The new Lonex hop up works, the titan works (Although the selector plate is a pain in the rear as there’s no instructions on where to put the white sticker for a g36), but the ares lower doesn’t like the JG gearbox and putting the selector too far on safe locks it up, or putting it too far on auto causes the selector plate to slide off of the gearbox. It’s truly a nightmare I wish I never started BUT it’s going to look so good once the new parts I got are fitted (Hopefully a picture tomorrow with it all fitted the day before I take it out 🤞🏻)

    I want to list on the classifieds the parts I didn’t use on my m16 build such as: a fully working gearbox Lower receiver Upper receiver assembly (it’s in parts as it splits in two halves) Hop unit and barrel As it’s all working, would it go into “parts” or “boneyard”? I know it’s not super important but better safe than sorry 😂

    Anybody have a VFC G36 (GBBR) mind doing me a favour and sending a picture of the receiver with the handguard off? Want to make sure they can take real parts before buying one

      Hey Nick, thanks. Got a WE myself and sadly it doesn't take the ultima handguards. I managed to find a video where somebody did showcase it with the rail off, and it has the sides filled in (Which means no giant gap when fitting the new gen H-Key rail)image.thumb.png.be05b87b1d8d5c1cd032aa2b7f8653cc.png

    I can now confirm the Lonex hop up does indeed fit an Umarex G36 shell, and works beautifully with a JG gearbox retrofitted. I’m getting 336 with 0.4 variation on .2g bb’s with everything in the JG being stock (Minus the mosfet) I haven’t fixed the selector, but my local regular site is semi only anyway so I’ve configured the titan to be semi on both auto and semi, and told the mosfet “semi” on the selector is also auto. Not a great fix, but it worked!

    It definitely hasn’t put me off using him, just purely based on how polite he was. I have a few stanag mag plates I’d like to get engraved eventually from him. Plus, his prices are really reasonable and the turn around is great also. He quoted me £22 for the Springfield trades on the m14, with the matching serial number on the bolt. That’s including him matching the font and designing the markings too

    In a turn of events, one of the hop units I initially disregarded (https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/lonex-enhanced-hop-up-chamber-unit-for-g36-series) has actually fitted perfectly into the Umarex body. However when I went to test it all, my selector plate is lifting and getting caught, meaning I can’t switch back. TL;DR version: don’t buy a g36 they suck 😂

    I just hope it’ll fit the Umarex body. I’ve got a few other hop units coming to test them all. Ones got to work 😬

    I sent him my M14 to get engraved and unfortunately it did end up getting messed up due to him only being able to engrave flat surfaces. At least now he’s found out his limitations 😂 He was an absolute gem to deal with and can’t fault his representation.

    There’s a few people I’m aware of that offer this, so there’s definitely an interest in it. However one of the biggest concerns (imho) is that if a mistake is made, there’s not really any going back and fixing it.     The S&T/Umarex is different bud. I had a look when you suggested it earlier. I’ve bought a cheap one from China by a company called “wii tech” that apparently does fit. If not, by the time it’s here I’d of recovered funds after splashing on an m16 😂

    Update/Day 2: JG Gearbox has successfully had it's Titan installed. Quite chuffed, it went in smoothly but man GATE's instructions are an absolute waste of time for the v3 titan. A lot of guessing but it all works... Well, I had to put the selector to "AK Mode" for it to shoot full auto on auto, and semi on semi but it works! HOWEVER... Upon putting the pew back together, I noticed a small chip on my hop up. I took it out to discover the plastic had broken on the locking lugs and with it being an S&T/Ares/VFC finding a replacement is going to suck... Starting to really fall out of love with the G36. I wish the JG style would fit in as replacements are everywhere (And so are the upgraded ones) But progress is progress, if it comes to it I have a spare G36C I can take the hop unit from.

    I picked up my M16A2 from the tech today, now has an aster for burst mode fitted. Ignore the 416 pistol grip though, I uh... Thought I had one, and had already used it on another build so it's a stand in for testing 😅 Dead happy to have a cool replica. Just have a few small parts to change. It's surprisingly quite comfortable and not too front heavy. Can't wait to field it next month!

    Hey guys, I wanted to do a quick review of the Type 89 “Mortar” I picked up from a seller on here. I was looking for the Craft Apple Works version for some time with no luck, so when I saw these listed I knew I had to grab one. Overall the “mortar” (which I will call it going forwards because it’s easier to type than “Grenade Discharger) feels sturdy and seems to be put together well. It uses propriety “TLSFx”/“FBS” rounds (https://www.dkarmaments.co.uk/product/mortar-single-bang-38mm-round/) which are rather pricey. Having used the smoke rounds before, they leave a lot to be desired in terms of coverage. Some bad points on this replica: (which I am by no means knocking, however want to point out) • For the cost, it is overall rather basic. It may purely be me being nitpicky however the lack of a dummy “cocking” handle and cut out for the spring like on the real thing was rather disappointing. • The finish paint on the product is very thin, and has worn off from contact against my Type 98 airsoft replica leaving a metallic silver shining through. I will end up refinishing it for reenactment down the line no doubt. I haven’t used any pyro in the mortar yet, however the “grenade” is the important part so there shouldn’t be any problems. The replica feels very sturdy however, and is definitely strong enough to withstand knocks and bangs from use. I think from a distance it’s ideal for reenactors, and absolutely perfect for airsoft use where every detail doesn’t have to be 100%. Overall personal thoughts: If you’re looking for a unique mortar, this definitely fits the bill. I would have liked it to feature more authentic design with a mock cocking handle and spring. The price falls in line with the 38mm Para (Retailing at £330 with 5 shells), being sold at £180. It’s definitely going to be useful for reenactment, however airsoft use will depend on events. For your average skirmish it could hold it’s own however £8 a shell it’ll drain your bank account in no time 😂 Note: This is my first time posting a review, so it may be an absolute mess… 😅

    Update: S&T with Titan v3 is FUBAR. Even cutting out most of the gearbox where it sits still wasn’t enough. I’m going to move the mosfet over to a JG as a test fit went smoothly. One other benefit is JG parts are easier to get ahold of.

    So I bought a titan v3 to fit into my S&T MG36 as I run it pretty hard and want some preventive measures. Upon opening up the gearbox, there’s a lot of material that I would need to remove to fit the Titan. Has anybody managed to fit the titan into an S&T? Is the material removal fine to do? I’ve already removed a small chunk to test so no going back really anyway 😬

    Picked up a M16A4 from a friend today for a good price, ordered an E&C M16A2 receiver with burst engraved, genuine M16 triangle for an M203, as well as an M203 and old school heat shield. Also bought a Gate Aster to have the burst mode. All of this because I watched Generation Kill again.
