My VFC LAR/FAL DX version landed in UK in late April, customs had it for 5 weeks. After the long and painful waiting, it finally arrived this week.
Pretty confident it's the first DX FAL arrived in UK or even Europe. Shame that customs wanted to have more fun with it before I could get hold of
The difference between the normal version and DX is the special wooden box, proper trades and every part of metal made of steel. Might be a bit overpriced but I'll pay for that as a super FAL fan

Customs is massively hit and miss. Nearly 6 months for an asahi mg34 to clear customs, asking for document after document, meanwhile a package of about 4 (airsoft) pistols didn't even get checked and weren't charged import fees.
Mine just got a call from customs but instead of any VCRA thing they were asking me for receipt to prove the value. Sent to them today and let's see how long it's gonna take

My RIF appears to be assigned to Parcelforce so that's a bonus I guess. Shame that it takes 1/2 weeks to clear customs. I did ask the retailer to put my UKARA on the label but i've also messaged Parcelforce themselves to make sure they definately have it.
Yeah that's no problem, just need to wait

Not worth the price of it when I can just chuck on a steel outer barrel on my normal version. Only difference then is the receiver itself which is not likely to break
It's not just the barrel. The upper reveiver, internals are fully steel too and it has the proper FN trades on the receiver which the normal one doesn't have. It's definitely true that Hong Kong stores overpriced it too much, but I sourced that earlier from TW for $300 less. That I consider a quite fair deal for the changes

Normally for me it's about 1 week or 2 weeks max. As long as you have your UKARA properly written on the parcel or import docs, no other paperwork you need to fill in. But UPS is an exception. They are a real pain in the arse when it comes to importing RIFs. Avoid them as you can.

One of my absolute favourite most used guns on CoD. Running around in hardcore getting one shots was great fun. Enjoy
Same here, that's why I've been so desparate for it, but I find the StG58 variant more aesthetically attractive to me, namely the CoD6 FAL. But that handguard and bipod I was unable to find unfortunately

There were 4 units at redwolf. At least I browse through their GBB catalog quite often so I'm quite sure I'm among the early birds who found it in stock.
I've waited for it for too long but I'm not one of the 4 because I already have my DX with UK customs right now (show mercy pls). I bought it from a private shop a week ago at a much lower price thanks to my mate in tw. I'm kindda confident that'll be the first DX landed in UK, or even Europe

As @Tommikkasaid, there is probably a moral question here too? Are you knowingly attempting circumventing of sanctions just to scratch an itch?
I don't want politics here and I am completely neutral on the situations going on. I have bought quite a few gears and trophies captured from Ukraine, while I've also placed orders from Russian shops like Grey and Kula.
But you are making the point, not the best choice to buy from them now so I'll most probably pass it

As others have said, parts that would be treated as firearms are generally pressure bearing items.
There are also international controls on specific types of military accessories, but anything gun related could generate additional customs interest irrespective of whether or not the parts are legalThere is the other matter of sanctions busting.
You’ve stated that you are aware that the Russian retailer is dispatching via other countries to bypass international sanctions on Russia
Its on your conscience regarding that, but it does raise another potential flag at customs
Importing can be pretty tricky. It’s totally ‘buyer beware’ as at any point items could be seized and destroyed or held pending import charges & fees.
Not only do you have the initial item cost plus international postage, lots of potential time delays, and the potential of anyone challenging the contents, but import fees
If you just pay for the item and the postage then the package might just pass through, or it will sit awaiting processing while you are sent an import VAT bill of 20% of the value (which may be the invoice value or may be reassessed at customs) and a fee by the carrier to process it
There is the potential that a foreign retailer registers with HMRC and charges you UK VAT at the point of sale - in which case they document it on the label and pay HMRC for youThink about what the chances of that from a Russian company that is evading international sanctions ?
I'm abs fine with 20% of values being charged as that's the obligation thing to pay for import charges VAT and I have done that multiple times when importing RIFs from Asia. What I'm really worried about is whether customs/BF will seize and destroy them even they are not pressure bearing (stock, handguard, grips and flashlight)
Maybe another choice will be to wait for the situations to cool down and order from them then but I doubt if this will happen in the near future

You can legally import and own any part that isn’t pressure bearing.
So you can’t have barrels, chambers, bolts, barrel mounts, most receivers etc
So muzzle devices are illegal too as they bear pressure?

Hi, planning to order some Zenitco parts from 39bullets as they now ship from Georgia and Kazakhstan to avoid the sanctions on goods sent directly from Russia.
Things going to order include handguards, stocks, grips and flashlight+laser (Klesch-2PS, not too confident with this one though). Don't want to do this but 5KU and LCT parts really suck
What are the chances they pass through UK customs legally? Any firearms license needed?

After 3 days without eating and sleeping, here is my fully Zenitco-ed GHK AK74 with full steel internals and steel barrel. Eveything upgradable is upgraded. Parts list will be too long.
Weighs a ton. Almost like the real thing. Barrel is a pain in the arse to change btw
And here's what it used to look like. Wouldn't say it's the same gun

Been there, done that, & regretted it ever since.
Especially pertinent if they're rare as rocking horse poop, you'll have the knowledge that even if you try to replicate them later on, it'll be pretty much impossible & probably cost you twice as much.
You'll regret it for as long as you continue to play, don't do it?
Thanks for the advice, can definitely imagine?
8 hours ago, EvilMonkee said:Nope, it was 1 mag but had the steel fire control set. Literally the only one I have seen available anywhere til yours popped up. Currently sat in Customs awaiting clearance.....
Good luck with clearing customs! I bought mine a year ago from Asia... There were last 2 available. When they were both gone, the seller marked that one DISCONTINUED?

Personally if their you favourite's and your on the fence about selling them, I would keep them. You can always sell them down the line if they no longer hold any sentimental value.
However you no doubt know got some very rare and in two case niche items, as for pricing very tricky. If you can post them world wide then I personally don't think you have any problems selling the GHK RPK, NPO 9A91u or the NPO SR2M,whether you can be bothered to deal with the hassle of international shipping that up to you.
Good point, they are still my treasure now, so think I'll be more inclined to keep them.
I would prefer selling those within UK if I really need to so I just asked here, worst case to EU. International shipping of RIF especially to US is a pita
4 hours ago, EvilMonkee said:Damn it I have literally just bought an RPK from Norway for that amount. I would have snapped your hand off......
Does it come with any mods, accessories and extra mags?

I'm very very VERY reluctant to sell my core collection but I'm having new hobbies so I'm wandering whether I should exchange some of them for cash.
I would still prefer to keep them myself though as once they are gone they are gone for good. So I'm posting just to see the market and make my decision then

Hey folks,
I've been airsofting for 2+ years but I'm new to selling used RIFs because I'm a collector that doesn't sell my stuff until recently I need to fund some other purchases.
My question is that, as a private seller, if a buyer provides me with his UKARA, how do I verify the UKARA is valid and registered with the correct postcode?
And if a buyer is registered with a club but not UKARA registered, how can I verify the buyer is an airsoft player?
Cheers

As a huge fan of DE I ordered 6 DEs from a Hong Kong based store and now I only received 2 because others are all pre order. Both boxes are the same as yours and I'm very pleased with the quality. Can't wait for the rest!

Vey nice set up.
Does your 1P29 still have the tritium in the reticle or is it deactivated? Thanks mate! I think it's been deactivated or decayed itself because it's over 30 years old and the illumination was very weak when it arrived. But I believe modern made ones are much brighter

Some of my proudest collections. Took some real efforts to find stock and get into my hands:
Umarex full size G36
VFC AEG M27 and GBB HK417 20"
G&G M14EBR limited 22" silver version
NPOAEG SR2M (Could have been the last one available in the world)
Ares L115 gas sniper
E&L AK74M with a real Soviet 1P29
King Arms R93 LRS2 gas sniper (not the ordinary springer one)
Also got a VFC Mk20 GBB stuck at customs due to Christmas and covid...
