  1. Went down to NPF Bassets Pole today, first time in a while.

Checking in took a while as there were about 80 something players, fair few rentals and everyone else.

Safety briefing was informative and unlike some other sites apparently no loaded weapons in the safe area.

Once that was done out to the games with where formatted in hour to hour and half missions. The Marshalls handed out a missions of the day which helped clarify what was going on.

Battled until lunch, got killed about 30 times, I must remember just running at people doesn’t equal success haha.

Broke for lunch and chomped on a cheeseburger with I ordered at the beginning of the day and was quite nice to be fair.

Back out in the afternoon for more missions and got killed about 30 times again. The missions themselves got a bit confusing as time went on but I felt this was more that most people just went off to do their own thing rather than stick to the plan.

Marshalling I would say was of a good quality but then behaviour by players was as well. No over shooting however some rather debatable hit taking. (Bloody sniper guille wankers) 😜

Only one incident of the today was a player taking in a hot sniper and dmr after the missions had started and not having chronoed. One chap sadly has quite a welt on his head tonight but it was dealt with efficiently and without a massive whohar.

Overall I had a really good day, was fun and would recommend it.  However the mission structure could be better and Marshall need to be more proactive to stop spawn camping.

  2. That’s quite an upsetting situation for you and him to be in sadly.  I do understand why a site would be reticent to allow him to play however I also believe that he should be given to opportunity to go.

Perhaps you could speak the site and they might be willing to arrange a limited skirmish with people that will work at his pace or understanding?

Just an idea really but I do think everyone should be able to enjoy the game but also safely for everyone else.

Id be looking at Tokyo Marui models

As they need nothing done until you break them, which if left standard and untampered with, never happens 🤞

    This absolutely 👍🏻

how often do you guys play? do you guys have like a team that is always playing together or you just turn up and that's it?

Once a month if I can and I go alone mostly but most people are very friendly and after a while you will start recognising people. It is a great way to socialise.

Yeah, shouldnt be a problem... I shall take a look at the discussion about equipment and etc...

A very noobie question... why there is such a difference in price? What makes the difference so the price goes up? (apart from brand)

Anything and everything. Gearbox’s for aegs, mosfets, externals ie polymer or a metal, trade marks etc etc them you may want lots of different types of rifs some are rarer than other. You could prefer gbb

Thing is it’s a wallet issue, a personal preference issue and performance issue. The more you spend the better you would expect to get in terms of quality but that’s not always the case.

As @gavinkempsell and @Dan Robinson have said. Start a decent cheap brand when you decide you want to upgrade it makes a decent spare for you or a mate.

And if in doubt ask most here will help steer you in the right direction with good rifs and what to absolutely avoid.

You guys are fantastic in this forum! Thank you all!

I was thinking about https://www.onlybbguns.co.uk/huntsman-m4-cqbr-polymer-body-full-metal-gearbox-inc-bat-and-charger-h060b to start with a scope... Should be enough for the start, no?

And yeah I will book one with rental equipment first to try out

Probably the worst person to answer this as I spend ridiculous money on rifs. Maybe a specna arms m4 for another 20-30 quid might be better?

  7. I had a LPC v1 although not the DCS and cannot comment on it. However I found the LPC to be good quality, durable and very comfortable to wear. Plus I think it looks better than the DCS however that’s a personal choice. It is a lot of money but I think the LPC is good choice as JPC type of plate carrier.

Been a couple of new additions since I last posted my collection & they've been moved about a few times too, took some pics recently.

Not intended as a 'flex' but I am proud of my collection, many bought from our classifieds...

    Amazing tips, guys! Thank you!

is that one in cobham, surrey still open? Ive messaged them but no reply so far…

anything in particular that I should look for when buying my first pistol/rifle?

I would suggest just going out and buying the most expensive rifle you can afford 😂Haha.

But being serious let contextualise that.  Never be prepared to spend more than you are willing to lose, consider you may not enjoy Airsoft and choose not to carry on. If you have spent a load of cash on rifs and other things you won’t get the money back.

I would say not to spend more than 150-200 on a rifle initially. Yes it won’t be the all singing and dancing rif but you will have something that works out the box, get a couple of extra mags, batteries and charger. Don’t forget eye pro and I would strongly recommend mouth protection.

£300 should get you all you need to start with. As you can see many here have got all the kit, real steel plate carriers, helmets, rif with all the added extras but then they have been doing this for years and probably have partners that don’t ask too many questions 😂

All I’m saying it don’t drop a f**k ton of dosh straight away. Spend wisely and once you have decided you want to do this and enjoy it.

I'm just along the coast from him in greatstone, keep thinking I'll get a decent spotting scope or bigger, but with all the little rubber boats I'd probably end up a snitch for ukba, screaming down the phone "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CANT CALL AN AIRSTRIKE ON THEM, WHAT ABOUT ARTILLERY ?" 🤨

Jesus, grew up on coast drive. Loved watching the lifeboat call outs
