MTW has stop on empty out the box, but requires their mags

I've had a look at the mtw and they would fit the bill, as most stop n empty have proprietary mags, but the only thing putting me off is that it's 5.56.

  2. I'm hard on kit and have both plate carriers and chest rigs. I started out with the cheaper types and quickly found them lacking in comfort and structure. I got to try some warrior kit and from that point on I've favored quality kit for; its structure to carry weight, keep cool and take the abuse.

As for style it's personal choice but see if a few folk will let you try bits of kit on, get a feel for what you might like.

  3. Evening all. I'm rowing with the idea if going hpa but having come from mostly gas powered rifs I want to retain the stop on empty feature common to gas rifs and found in some aeg.

Is there a drop in system that can have this feature by either piggy backing on an aegs electric stop function of a control system that has it?

I'm thinking along the lines of the mtw but with being held to 5.56 styles.

Planning to get a Quest 2 coming up with either Black Friday / Cyber Monday if on a good sale or around xmas time. Using it cabled to the computer, does it power the headset as well or will it still be limited by the battery time itself?

I think it depends on the power output of the connection and the cable you use, not all usb ports are made equal. What you have the headset playing and how you set it up will also make a difference.

I run mine wireless off the router and I've been able to squeeze in a coupe of hours of alyx on a lunch time and still have just over 50% left.

  5. Afternoon all, I'm.wondering if anyone else has thought of or does strap cases together when transporting rifs.

I using 3 cases at the moment, only one has wheels and I'd like to be able to connect all three together so they can be moved as one or if its only a pair, use a shoulder strap.

Luggage straps occurred but the cases are hard and slide along each other so something more akin to a guitar backpack strap but with the backpack it.

Anybody got any idea as to what I'm on about?

  6. If you have had it working in the past and now there are issues I'd suggest they might have died.

If however it's a bed item/first time use issue it might be a mono connection at the ptt and you've got a stereo connection in the headset.

I had a similar issue recently and changing the onnetion type to a mono lead sorted it right out.

    Armorer works?

They're WEs with fancy red gas routers, I have one 50 rounder which works really really well :)

It's not armour works, I know them, these are tagged A.W.E. and I can only find them on airsoft world website. I'm starting to think that they are a rebrand/dealer own kind of thing.

  8. @SkaratSkara this is something. I've not found but I don't have a hi cappa and up until yesterday I'd only run m&p and baretta pistols.

    Thank you for the advice.

    Another question.

    Are A.w.e magazines any good?

I hadn't seen the name before and the are tagged with being for the aap but I hesitated as I don't know them.

  9. Afternoon all, I've joined the app-01 club, couldn't resist 20% off.

First test shot and its lifting .3g nicely. Now I need some mags and such to make it game ready.

As I understand stand, after reading the thread, it's WE g18 mags for best results and I have a question you lovely folks might be able to answer, regarding holsters.

I've just tried it in my warrior holster which takes almost everything but the enlarged mag release sometimes catches the holster release, making the magaine come loose. How thick is the stock magazine release? Iis there enough meat there to dremel off the top and stipple the release?20211009_152325.thumb.jpg.4d1d4947090f5a1c5a601aa29f2c50c6.jpg

  10. The parts to make up that harness are dirt cheap and it's easy to do if you have a solder iron. If you don't fancy that you should be able to buy an off the shelf 2s parallel board which will work to.

I've made a few different sets for using different batteries a rifs and still matching my charger, personally I prefer xt connectors over deans, I found they handle weather better.

  11. Unlucky with the warranty my q2 started stating that it was over heating and shutting off as soon as it booted up.

So far my new one hasn't dropped a beat, fingers crossed.

Game wise, I'm loving alyx and I've picked up pavlov, superhot, lone echo, alien isolation (mother mod).

Onward is on the list but I was put off with the steam reviews.

  12. If your having issues with the quest 2 I'd certainly get on to your retailer or oculus ASAP.

I've recently had to go through it and I can say for certain it will be the last time I use John Lewis and oculus leave a lot to e desired when it comes to customer service.

Having said that I am enjoying the quest functionality, as I've been taking it with me when working away from home.

  13. There probably aren't many rail systems which are compatible with the stock barrel nut, but you should be able to find a rail with its own barrel nut. I would just be case of emiving you stock rail and barrel nut then fitting the new nut and rail.

I'd start with ak2m4.co.uk as they are good for parts, but I think the biggest issue right now is finding so.eqherw with the style you want in stock.
