What I learnt over the course of this thread was that the KJ tolerances are off TM spec JUST enough to be problematic when trying to replace almost anything. if I could have started again, I’d have sold my SSP as it was and bought a TM 5.1 I have also encountered a working SSP that was almost as good as any of my capas in terms of chucking a pellet in a straight line, maybe not as snappy but they’re not all dogshit it seems

Praise capitalism and buy more guns, you’re keeping the hobby afloat. I’ve just treated myself to a set of Pandora arms wooden Hi-capa grips, clone Vortex Viper RMR, JLP Capa RMR mount, TM MP5 drum mag and a Laylax 430mm VSR barrel. (not all for the same gun I might add before @Adolf Hamsteraccuses me of more heresy)

The G5 is infamous for having a particularly heavy kick, there’s a fairly high moving mass to the bolt assembly so it really lets you know when it’s firing! The pressure is set to be roughly what you’d get from a C02 mag

Time for something a bit different? Kj Works KC02 in a Samson B-TM stock with custom turned tapered barrel, VSR hop and Rogueworx internals. How’s about a cheeky bit of Bullpup action too? GHK G5 in a SRU kit with a real Eotech 552 as the cherry on the top. I’ve got a HPA kit that lets me run AEG mags in it, but I’m way too lazy to fit it so I’ll be running a HPA drum mag on saturday

Weird load out complete

Can’t wait for Saturday. Going to rock a head scratchingly weird load out of a Bullpupped GHK G5 and a KC02 dressed up as a Samson B-TM. I think I’ve actually played at Red Alert, but it must have been 18 years ago. (The TM B Spetsnaz had just been released) let’s see if I remember any of it

It’s pretty subtle from this picture, but that’s a 400mm tapered barrel made to mirror the bog standard Ruger 10/22 factory barrel.

The flesh is weak, got a used Eotech 552 on the way. Ex maritime, the QD looks a little rusty but I’m sure I can get it looking swish again

Eleven and a bit weeks of back order and Brownells have just sent shipping confirmation of my Samson Manufacturing B-TM! This thread has taken some odd turns. It was meant to be a straightforward journey; buying a battered KC02, slapping it in a wooden Ruger 10/22 stock and tapping the mags. It’s ended up with three completely different builds that range from dinky full auto madness at 1.1J to single action at 2.32 all housed in RS stocks for the Ruger 10/22 that I’ve picked up off Brownells. The beginning of March should be interesting as I’ll have some custom barrels and a Rogueworx underlever kit to fit. I wasn’t expecting to find a platform as customisable as the HiCapa when I opened the box on my first KC02. I’ve got high hopes that that stubby build for Sunday. Even though it’s only sending at 1.1J, it’s got a VSR style TDC hop unit that’ll lift like the MK23. I can hold 5x130 mags of 0.3’s on my chest so I’ll be in full pewpewpew mode. Hopefully accuracy doesn’t just disappear due to full auto, I’ve heard a lot of people complain about the full auto kits before but I’m sure that’ll be due to cool down and condensation from C02 mags. Not a problem for a Sodastream ghostbuster

Mines a 3.x but I’ll be having one of the new V4’s when they launch. The unholy marriage of half a gas mag and half a G&G drum mag was to tide me over until I had found a Tanuki. Good time to be a KC owner, my underlever should be ready next month and the big RW restock isn’t far off either. (edit: Underlever isn’t going on this one - just in case anyone thinks I’m even more of a moron than I portray myself)
