  1. Quite simply does anyone here use one as their go-to sidearm? I know the 1911 style guns tend to perform slightly worse due to the slim single-stack mags. Is that the case with this?
  2. I still go to TWA as I like the grounds and Marshals (and its very local). Yes it's a bit rundown but they struggle to develop the site due to frequent arson. However I did chuckle at the "Spray n' Pray" award. For my first few years in airsoft I only ever when there and as such couldn't fathom how anyone would ever use a GBBR with 30 round mags in a skirmish. Most of the games are "How quickly can you push through the hail of BB's" Really need to get to Dogtag soon.
  3. So disregard the above because I bought an M4 stock (M904E) as well. Also added a ZCI 229MM 6.02 barrel, 60 degree maple leaf, one of the @ak2m4 soft omega nubs and a ZCI CNC hop chamber...which took a it more tweaking than the plastic version but now feeds beautifully, giving a slight boost in fps and above average consistent chrono readings. That's all I'd recommend doing to these for anyone who's after a primary they can pick up for the price of a low end pistol and yet get decent in game results. In all honesty I felt a bit silly watching my friend have tons of fun and loads of kills with the £110 (OK plus like £40 in upgrades on top) gun he borrowed from me, while I was having serious issues with my £600 scorpion evo 😑
  4. Another Double Eagle Honey Badger...because well why not!?
  5. Doesn't that "Currently Located" slogan get you hyped for what's inside!
  6. Unprotected, not even once! Did a quick chrono yesterday, with a cardboard box filled with packaging material and even a towel as the backstop. One of the shots ricocheted and smacked me right at the bottom of the brow bone leaving a sore welt. It goes without saying had I been positioned even a CM to the left, that could have been a lot worse!

@Steveocee Having spare eyepro is a must. I keep one of mine with the BBs and gas as a reminder to put it on before shooting and another set is strapped to my plate carrier lol

@Steveocee - A disappointing 315, when it had been 340 with the previous setup!

@Callsign.Raptor_ - I have two pairs sat by the chrono. As a child I had a bike nicked while the chain was wrapped around the seat...I was reminded of the senselessness of that approach yeaterday.

I keep at least one set by the table saw, one by my dremel station, one in my airsoft area, and one by the lathe/milling machines. A BB to the eye sucks. A metal shaving is worse...

  7. Surely the hop doesn't even come in to effect that close? If you think about it, even with hop off most guns will shoot what, at least 15M before the BB drops? Same with max hop, the BB doesn't go vertically up straight out of the barrel. It travels that 15M or so and then arcs up.
  8. Am I missing something on this one? £160 pistol which looks "well-used" plus an extra mag. Includes some gas (can you even post that?) and a holster for £80 more than the RIF retails for new? If the holster is worth loads, I'd assume it'd be worth splitting instead.
  9. Mind your own business! Not unusually for me I've owned two of these and sold both on shortly thereafter. I personally don't think they're anything special on either front. Of course they're handy for CQB in conjunction with the drum mag and plethora of modular attachments but you hardly need to be able to shoot the wings off a fly at 100M for that purpose. Between one of these and your MK23 you'll need to add a full-steel 1911 to your collection in order to remind yourself what a nice pistol replica should feel like. These are also very "toyish" in the hand.
  10. I like the PDW (tanker?) stock, think it goes well with the light and agile body. Really depends on personal preference, the M4 stock would likely be more comfortable to rest your cheek on.
  11. You have to promise to stay away from Hatton Garden.
  12. Stated site FPS limits are usually with 0.20g's though - you may want to check with them.
  13. Not a Glock replica but takes the same mags, so easy mistake. Is anything else included? These are less than £110 new.
  14. It's not uncommon for sellers to think "it's still brand new", so loses no or very little value. Of course they're wrong lol but there ya' go...
  15. Which BB's are shown in the picture? They look steel.
  16. You should sell this design back to Novritsch. A big improvement!
  17. Urrgghhhh style more like....full-metal!? Get out! Double Eagles should be plastic and proud.
  18. Think about getting the 2300 round M4 one for my Double Eagle Honey Badger 😆
  19. I've experienced something similar, sent a few pics to the retailer and agreed a percentage refund. Leaves everyone with a reasonable deal and minimal inconvenience.
  20. I can see why someone who has been in those units would have a stronger opinion and quite honestly I don't really get the point of having all the correct gear as I think it crosses over in to full LARP'ing territory. However as above, if you don't in any other way make out like it's genuine, then I can't see the majority taking offence.
  21. Yeah but Confucius was only 22 in that depiction....
  22. What are you actually looking to achieve? Just something which is externally different to anything currently on the market? If that's the case, you can get something with an M4 receiver and usually add the handguard and stock of your choice (although even with that some are incompatible and require modification). If you're talking more about internals, you'd be best off working with your chosen tech, as at the end of the day it'll be them who's putting their name to it.
  23. I'm starting to sound like a shill but seriously, if you're looking for a CQB gun that takes M4 mags and costs less than £150, why would you get anything other than one of the Double Eagle M904 series....
