JamesWills reacted to hedwins in TM MP5 NGRS Owners
FINALLY got my hands on an MP5 and four spare mags. Found a solution for mounting a scout light which works really well, and allows use of the original TM forend for maximum battery space. The claw mount is the wide TM version. You can mount an optic towards the back, with room to spare for a Surefire offset mount in front of it.
The Scout light is long enough that shadowing isn’t an issue, but short enough that ambidextrous handling is still possible without having to change the forend and use a vertical grip. Pressure switch is just taped neatly on the top, as I like to shoot thumb over bore / C-clamp.
Got a night game coming up soon and can’t wait to try her out. The suppressor is the TM pro tracer, attached to the adapter which comes in the box with the MP5. Looks good enough for me.

The Mp5 Lego set grows
the rear stock adaptor whilst being very well made and looking very nice is a very poor & loose fit despite being advertised for the MP5 NGRS , so this is going to need some looking at or binning off , which is a shame

Did the unthinkable and opened up my MP5 and let the Japanese pixie dust out
changed the bucking to a nineball purple rubber and also chucked in an eagle6 M100
managed to find a YouTube video of some Japanese guy taking the gun apart and it wasn’t too bad, struggled with removing the fire selector until I realised you have to pull the trigger as you pull it out

Work in progress SD, not the most authentic but will do the job, makes fitting batteries in easier the handguard is held on by a 3D printed cap which is then pressed against by the printed suppressor. Underneath it all is still the original gun with the tri-lug and the adapter it comes with, with an Acetech Blaster M module in front of it. Will have the suppressor made in metal in the future.

Baaam! Got inspired by SonnyMP5 (🙏) and got old SD parts from ICS which after a lot of work finally fit like a glove on my TM Mp5 Nextgen 🤙 Came out amazing!

New little project for me, started to wonder how hard to would be to 3D print my own handguards
1 hour in and I've got the front end modelled up reasonably accurately (I think)
going to try an M-Lok rail first and then maybe try an SD style front end

Had mine since release , like most I’ve only plinked with it due to lack of mags but I was lucky enough to catch some stock at Impulse101 just after Christmas and snagged a couple more ,
it was sporting the VFC lighted handguard
but now the RAS

I imagine its the chip shortage that's causing it, with it being the first NGRS with a mosfet other than the MK46 I assume they cant make enough to meet demand

I recently acquired a MK46 and that came with 2 Titan batteries they fit inside the handguard very well

Yes I tried fitting an Xcortech XT301 inside but not good way of holding it in place without a custom 3D printed shroud

Got my handguard fitted now and the space for the battery created
max space for a battery is about 77mm long by 40mm wide
looks like PEQ style batteries might be the way to go or one of these expensive titan batteries: https://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/batteries-bbs-gas-chronographs-c5/batteries-c62/titan-power-version-7-0-7-4v-3000mah-li-ion-brick-battery-deans-connection-p10821

My VFC Flashlight handguard finally showed up this morning after a month long wait from Bunny workshop
Not quite as drop in fit as I heard it was but only a small issue which can be easily solved, the pin doesn't quite push through so I will take a Dremel and just enlarge that hole ever so slightly
I am also going to try and take away the 2 lines of plastic inside the handguard to try and increase the battery space so I will let you know how that goes
