New gun: BCM Hera Arms CQR I think I'm gonna get it cerakoted the same colour (the red looks darker and better IRL than in the pics). What optics should I get for it? I don't like the stock plastic ironsights, what ones should I get to replace em' with? nice guns! The headsets are great, even if not using voice comms the amplified 3D audio sound is great, and when not in use they just swing back, easily adjustable for a comfortable fit on your ears too.

Did some final changes to my helmet, I mixed and matched two caiman mandibles (a tan and black), the black one with shorter struts so it sits closer to the face and I can actually aim down my eotech. I'm not sure if I should use the Tan main part of the mandible instead of the black, I'll post a comparison pic soon. It's because I don't really like the colour of the tan on it, looks very plastic-y. Well I hardly get to use comms so I end up swinging them back which is why I went for them really, they're comfortable and have two different settings of 'tightness' on your ears for a snug fit, with the 'length' on the arm also adjustable, I'm always worried about them snapping out of the arc rails when I adjust the tightness bit though, even though it has only happened a couple times, that'd be my only complaint. Finished setting up my helm today; TMC helm, mandible, headset, cover, xiaomi yi action camera, lipo usb battery in back pouch for camera power. 3M clear safety glasses. Wove some cord through the arc rails, might swap the nvg shroud for a tan one, or how does black look? I wanted black rails with tan cord, too, but couldn't find any spare parts for it (TMC helmet, but I bought some black TMC rails from aliexpress and they aren't the same shape). My kit (clothing) is multicam, gear like belt/rig/pouches all ranger green, primary a SCARH with heavy tan/black aesthetic.

It's from Parker Mountain Machine, along with the rail elimenation panels, PRE, and lightweight vented lower rail. Are you right handed? Because I think I actually have a spare front mount in black that they sent me (they don't ship internationally and I had to get a buddy in the US to proxy them to me.)

picatinny rail extension, rail elimenation panels, vented lightweight lower rail, EG/SOTAC G34 + EXPS3 + DBAL-A2. I'm still figuring out how I'm supposed to use the magnifier with the exps, I struggle to even see through it alone if I flip it to the side, my eye has to be the perfect distance from it or I don't see anything, and I can see this being a problem when wearing a mandible and trying to aim with it, I think I'll end up leaving it flipped to the side as a spotter scope or something. As for the DBAL-A2 I've not played with it much but also excellent build quality, need to watch a video on how to set it up properly, I got some IR filter lenses I need to stick inside the IR laser so they don't burn anyones eyes. After a little bit of playing with it, I'm struggling to figure out how to just have the red dot laser come on and stay on with a single button press, has anyone used a dbal? Video: It seems the only way to get the laser to stay on is by turning the switch to low power with the pointer laser option set. I was hoping I'd be able to push the button on the top to turn it on or off, but all that does is turn the flashlight on with a double-tap of the button. Edit: PRE installed, but going to have to dremel the backs of the other rail parts so they'll fit.

Seems like the IR filter is a must then. I honestly can't even remember the last time I used a laser in a game anyway heh. So far I just use them for target shooting in the back.

5mw is too high? I just did some very quick googling and it sounds like red at 5mw is generally fine unless you're pointing it at peoples eyes?
