  1. That's actually pretty helpful thanks. I tend to sweat a lot in general so I'm just worried about running about in the cold, sweating, and then stopping and freezing my ass off from the cold sweat.
  2. General question re; harness+belt vs. a plate carrier - does a plate carrier setup help much in the winter we're now getting into? In the summer I'd sweat buckets with just my harness and belt, I suppose a shirt under my invader gear top might help in winter but yeah just wondering how they fare for you guys in different weather. Edit: Might aswell post my helm. Got my new TMC RAC headset in tan today, looks a lot better imo; vs old;
  3. I've got these springs on hand now: Springs - Nuprol M110 AEG Spring - Nuprol M100 AEG Spring - SHS Nonlinear M90 AEG Spring - VFC AEG Spring M90 - PDI AEG 100% (M90) Silicon Chrome Steel Spring Variable Pitch I'm gonna get my own chrono shortly, (ACETECH Airsoft Gun AC6000, good choice?) and try each one. I'm interested to know why the PDI silicon chrome steel spring was so much more expensive than the rest. Engineer said gun was firing 370 fps with 0.20g BBs using the M110 spring, the site limit here is 340, so I'm thinking I'll probably need to drop to M90 (I've seen M95's too). Having a hard time figuring out how to open the gearbox assembly though to change the spring and also install the mosfet wire.
  4. I took it apart as far as separating the 'top' from the 'bottom of the main gun, but from there I had absolutely no idea how to access the spring or open it up. He put a new motor in for me and said to wire up a mosfet I'd need to access the gearbox anyway to wire up the signal wire. what do the other wires hook up to? cause if I can do some Y split on the cables now while I have it open and stick deans connectors on the end it would save time later (maybe?) Also is that good for this gun? I got maple leaf bucking/nub, madbull barrel, and it's got a nuprol 16RPA motor in there.
  5. Well, I remember him saying the seal was great etc or something like that. I guess I need to buy an M90 because and M100 is gonne be over 350 if an M110 is 370. How easy is it to replace the spring in my gun? since I'm buying my own chrono (ACETECH Airsoft Gun AC6000), and I'm waiting for Gate NANOAAB to be returned as the first one was DOA - rather than pay this guy to do it how easy is changing the spring and adding a mosfet? I'm in the process of rebuilding the gun right now so this is what it looks like;
  6. Sorry to necro an old post. I had my pulse rifle sent off to have a new motor, spring, barrel, hopup nub/bucking, mosfet installed. Mosfet ended up being DOA so gotta return that. The spring I Included was a Nuprol M110, the guy said it was chronoing at 370fps and the site limit here is around 340. Would an M100 drop it down to there, or should I look for an M90 or M95? I've found a Nuprol M90 and some M95's https://www.airsoftstation.com/asg-ultimate-upgrade-aeg-spring-blue-m95/ https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/element-aeg-m95-st-spring-airsoft-5491-p.asp There's others I found elsewhere but all by manufacturers I've not heard of. Thought here? Also what different does it make if a spring is 'piano wire' or 'silicone', 'variable pitch' etc? Why's this M90 spring: https://outdoorandtactical.co.uk/product/pdi-aeg-silicon-chrome-steel-spring-100-m90-variable-pitch/ So much more expensive than eg; https://outdoorandtactical.co.uk/product/vfc-aeg-spring-m90/ , https://www.airsoftstation.com/shs-m90-aeg-spring/ , https://www.krale.shop/en/spring-nuprol-m90-aeg.html , https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/shs-nonlinear-spring-m90-airsoft-replacement-aeg-spring-7021-p.asp Out of those M90 ones, if the M100 is still gonna be too powerful, which of the M90's should I try? Getting myself a chronograph too so I can test this.
  7. Testing the Tornado 2 again yesterday; (Had a friend holding the phone and didn't do such a great job at recording, but thing is a beast. Both wearing glasses for safety and one of them hit me right in the temple and hurt like fuck).
  8. Filling the AI Tornado 2 It was mostly full anyway but it took about 3x worth of those loaders to fill and I'm pretty sure they are at least 100 capacity. Need to get one of those nuprol 450cpa ones. I messed up with the gas at the end but I wasn't sure if it was full - did I fill it for too long? how do I know when it's done? This is from the other day when I first got it, I don't think I put enough gas in it, but here it is anyway: I'll take another one in a minute. Here's a random video of all my shit after some organizing, I made a little 'go bag' with useful things in it to take with me rather than a big backpack.
  9. If money were no issue.. Edit: My TMC RAC headset just arrived this morning, but the box was crushed to hell and one of the retention clips that secure it to the arc rail is snapped. Pretty pissed off since it's obviously a used/returned unit and they sent me it anyway, can you get spares of this part anywhere or do I need to return the things? helmet would be finished now otherwise. aside from wanting a gopro hero black instead of this xiaomi yi action anyway, but better things to buy before that. Took some pics of the loadout; https://imgur.com/a/DHxcN9D
  10. Not grimdark or gothic enough. More like something from The Expanse. But yeah once I get that scope mounted to the top carry handle I'll probably remove the peq box and laser on the front rails since the scope can do those. Keep the torch.
  11. I'm still planning to bolt a rail to the top of the carry handle and stick one of these sights on it:
  12. I know I can't run with the green laser, it's just for the photoshoot - I plan to swap it with a red one.
  13. do you guys actually play with no mouth protection or are these just glamour shots? the thought of being hit in the teeth makes me cringe.
  14. I got a couple extra magazines for my M14A Pulse Rifle, total of 5 now (1 in gun 4 in pouches now), added to belt, how's it looking?
  15. Not tested but they first have to get through the plastic on the mask, this is 'just in case'.
  16. Yeah they aren't super flimsy but I can easily see a few hits weakening it, then next time goes straight through or something. Just not worth the risk when I can glue gun some wire mesh on the inside. There's plenty of space. Even rotates to open up for drinking through which is handy.
  17. Added a cover to my helm and tidied it up, think it's pretty much finished aside from wanting to get a TMC headset that you can swivel back from the rear rails, then I can get my light on the straight rail. https://imgur.com/a/BBYItqx Going to add some mesh behind the plastic mouthguard area because I don't trust the plastic and value my mouth. Got some mesh, can cut it to size, what's a good way to glue it inside to the plastic? just something like gorilla glue?
  18. Thanks I suppose it does kind of match the rest, wasn't really intentional as the M41A was meant to just be a collectible / fun thing, but with my VFC SCAR-H stuck in the US for at least a month I guess I'll see how this thing really performs during games. Unfortunately Royal Mail lost my tracked P226 X-Five 6mm return which was going to be my sidearm so I've also got a 6mm 1911 with the SCAR I'm waiting on. The one in the pics is a 4.5mm. I hope 3x 220rd mags for the PR is enough - they're only £10 though so might get a couple more anyway.
  19. The battery was dying, I had a cheap one in it and it doesn't last very long. With a nuprol in it it's nice.
  20. The strap isn't on it in most of the pics because I was out there shooting for about 2 hours and it's a pain to clip the button on the strap back on, I might get a tailor to modify it so it has a simple velcro strap, but it fits pretty snug in there. Problem is finding good left handed holsters.
  21. Haha. I do hear some back doors opening and closing as people come out to see what the noise is when I start, but I'm never out there very long and keep it to reasonable hours.
  22. Put all my gear on and did some target practice today. I was barely moving but the heatwave right now made me sweat buckets. Hydration pouch on the back was a solid buy in this weather. Only thing missing from my kit here is the helmet cover and wiring/PTT for the headset/radio. Some shooting.
