  1. You could swat the bb’s back to the opposition though 😁
  2. The SCAR looks like it’s wrapped in used loo roll 🤮
  3. How come every topic I start ends up messy 😂
  4. Search for Negative Airsoft’s video, I think it’s titled something like “Taking Your HOP For A Drink” He installed HOP rubbers using both Silicon lube & Alcohol Lube on your HOP rubber if it gets to the inside of it kinda defeats its purpose as it is supposed to “grab” the bb to generate backspin. A wet one won’t do it anywhere near as well, alcohol evaporates
  5. I’m happy running my stock TM Ak recoil (clunky & noisy thing) with 80 rnd mags and my gbbr with 40 rnd mags Neither of which get to the mid teens with their ROF Going to discuss further with Marshall’s & Site Owner in the new year But a quick chat about it in the afternoon there was nodding heads with circa 20 rps being fast enough A site not to far from us is running Semi Auto Sundays, I like the sound of that! But gimme some feedback, what’s a happy limit for safety & encouragement?
  6. Hi folks Having had our last game of the year today, there was a good turn out of first time players using site rental guns (JG G36’s if it matters) There was the usual mixture of folks using aeg’s, snipers and some HPA players. now normally I’m a live & let live attitude kinda guy, but I did see a few of the new player heads go down after lunchtime in the last few games, had a quick chat with them and they commented on the significant difference between the site guns and some of the regulars aeg’s V the hpa players The hpa guns were easily having a ROF of circa 35-40 a second, and in the game areas where full auto was allowed due to engagement rules, they were simply suppressing the new players with their ROF & slightly aggressive play style. The site doesn’t (yet) have a ROF cap, but that may start next year I have to add , this is an outdoor woodland site, NOT an urban or CQB / indoor 1: is it fair to cap hpa players play style / ROF ? 2: What’s an acceptable ROF to allow “fair game play”? Answers on a postcard please to: Grumpy Old Man Wants to see the new player’s encouraged Not a one time player never to be seen again street 👍
  7. Can I drop in a subtle mention of any of the non blow back Mk23’s
  8. So pardon my non Political Correctness If he went to the “wrong shop” what an Effing Mong he is 🤭
  9. My bad, meant just bb gnuz https://www.justbbguns.co.uk/zombie-hunter-eliminator-green-slide-black-airsoft-gun/
  10. I tried Propane, it stank and was terrible though my MP9 liked it 🤷🏻‍♂️ I have Co2 mags that take 12g capsules, tried them in colder weather , it too was a poor result. So I will be sticking to green gas. I have 6 gg mags, so hopefully won’t suffer (the gbbr habit is infuriating 😂 ) Last game with it I was frantically bombing up every chance I got. I Did get circa 120 shots per mag though, so efficiency on gg is really good
  11. They are still on bb gnuz for less mate
  12. I drive a Defender as my daily, it’s like an abusive relationship I love it to bits, it kicks the shit out of my spine & my wallet ! 😂
  13. Gotta laff 😉 Anyway, back on topic I started off with a Krytac, great rif, upgraded barrel and hop and it served me faultlessly for two year - but it was soulless A bit like driving a nice Japanese car I moved to a TM Scar recoil, again, same upgrades but still felt lacking. That stayed with me for about 4 months 🙄 before I accidentally moved to gbbr’s As my gbbr is a bit of a whinging wee tart unless it’s about 20 deg outside (which is twice a year in Scotland) I have again bought a TM recoil for use during the colder months of the year. For the simple reason I trust it to work out of the bag every time. This can be said about the majority of manufacturers RIF’s out there as long as you don’t unnecessarily tamper with the internals. I don’t think that TM are the saviour of the sport. I think that 80% of the other manufacturers out there will give as good a performance with a little bit of attention by just adding a decent hop rubber and a premium barrel. But does that defeat the purpose of buying a cheaper gun in the first place? Im seeing lots of our players attending with makes that I wouldn’t have considered a couple of years ago and they look & feel great in the hand, but shoot just as well as a TM. So to summarise I don’t know! 🤷🏻‍♂️
  14. Im looking forward to finding out My M4 is in hibernation until warmer days 🙁
  15. The Sea Dweller is a fcuking heavy monster (the genuine item) I got rid of mine and replaced it with a GMT II Batman back in 2015 Probably the best decision and investment I ever made.
  16. Just purchased a few cnc items from Pablo Vila Ferrero in the GHK owners Facebook group. Not cheap, but should be worth it. If you have to ask, you don’t deserve to know what they are 😉 Hopefully here within a week or so from Madrid 😎
  17. Im making sure that I re use every box/packaging that my items arrive in. Recycling stuff is ok , but repurposing & re using is really where it’s at in my opinion No, I don’t like to wear lentils 😁

  19. Send it back if you bought it new from a retailer
  20. Question is: is the olive drab colour a factory paint or a previous owners custom job? I have been able to return home painted RIF’s to factory quite easily and quickly just using unleaded petrol. The paint came off with a little agitation with a toothbrush (one I was finished with 😝) a quick wash with detergent then a wipe with an oiled rag and it’s they were as good as new 👍
  21. Don’t diss the BBG4L stock Apparently it’s a sound investment, allowing you to get a more than 100% return after giving it a jolly good thrashing 😆
