Well done, had you been asking how to overcome this fitment problem, my advice would have been to do exactly what you did, I've done it myself a few times to get 1911 holsters fit hi-capa pistols. ??

There are a number of variants available other than traditional stock, pistol grip full stock or the obvious ebr models immediately come to mind?

I'll just leave this here ? Wants L1A1 money for a JG ?

Totally fugly & using a good but flawed pistol(according to the number of posts I've seen with people needing to replace parts), suspect anybody that buys it will soon be disappointed when: A. Their "rifle" can't compete with others on the playing field. B. Trying to use it as a dedicated rifle causes to much wear & tear = repeated component failure. Pistol carbine kits are OK if you don't expect performance equivalent to dedicated full size primaries, especially full auto aeg's.

What is reasonable wear and tear for an airsoft RIF?
Tackle replied to AirSniper's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
14 outings in 6 months & a piston likely stripped, irrespective of the retailers dick attitude, I think in all fairness that's quite a bit of wear & tear so not unheard of for a piston to lose teeth. Justifying a claim using "laws" that were never written with fragile Airsoft toys in mind would be a dick move on your part. IMHO ? -
It'll take it, but will probably shorten gearbox life. As for pre-upgrading it, surely running it until something fails is a more realistic indicator as to what part or parts you'll need. Or is my logic skewed ??

Have a look at Componentshop.com, very informative on battery sizes & competetive prices. -
It's definitely a viable option, especially as a donor, as for the conditions of the internals, who knows ?, maybe offer a bit less on the basis of the exterior marks & rental "history", or lack of. If you did get it, I wouldn't open either of them up yet, just use both until something fails, forcing you to start working on them, until then you'd like have 2 competent working guns.
-
With the exception of the cracked body, which you've already found potential (& cheap replacements), does it do what it's supposed to ?, what's the fps & accuracy like, if both are good I'd be inclined to say replace the body & keep using it, as frankly what your estimating its selling price to be is next to nothing for a competent aeg. That's not to say don't get another one, on the contrary, fill your boots, always good to have a spare aeg, recommend you get something that uses your existing mags, doesn't necessarily need to be another armalite platform, loads of non armalites out there that take the same mags, & even a few that in standard form don't, but with the addition of a mag we'll adaptor, hey presto they do ? PS welcome to the forum ?

Heads up - proposed changes in Highway Code alert
Tackle replied to AirSniper's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
It's gonna be a literal minefield, in addition to the idiots that already step out without paying attention, there will be a criminal element looking to make a financial killing, not forgetting the car drivers who are out to make claims on rear end shunts, a well placed mate on the kerbside & overzealous braking on their part, I can literally see a car full of people all getting out holding their necks etc ? Yep, definitely time to invest in a dashcam ? -
Lol, prob didn't like my pm?
-
There's literally shit loads of gun related kit on there, including real steel parts

I was thinking how cool that is ?............ AND THEN I SAW THE PRICE ? -
& your showing us this why exactly ? ?

Thank you for the update, while I appreciate the lead time on getting the custom parts in, belt buckles etc, reading between the lines it sounds like poor organisational skills from whoevers in charge, anticipating your logistic needs is paramount, & yes not always easy but this issue hasn't come about overnight, nor can brexit be blamed, it's been talked about for a long time, that tells me that the demand is there. & surely if the main issue being blamed is the manufacture & supply of the parts such as buckles, the answer would be to find an alternative supplier even if it means modifying the design slightly, rather that than keep pissing off (& losing) customers & what amounts to punishing your staff for management failings. IMHO ?

? I still don't know why peeps are laughing at my A&K vector knock off ? Isn't the whole point that the toys propel bb's at what we aim for, with a level of accuracy & reliability ?, everything else is just cosmetic. Box ticked ✅

Regular UK Armed Forces Impression Kit (Infantry)
Tackle replied to tomtical's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Not necessarily, I turned up at a site years ago, & a team turned up, teens & early twenties, total shower of shit bar one, he claimed to have previously been TA & still had access to berets & cap badges, so in his infinite wisdom thought would mark them out as a team if they all wore them. Thing is, it was my regiments beret & badge, I worked hard for mine & I'd had a couple of mates die wearing theirs, so seeing a bunch of long haired wankers make absolute cnuts of themselves in them really fucked me off, & I told them so?. While that situation is rare, my experience shows it can happen, so I'd always tell people in threads like this, be careful, act with respect & if in doubt, don't do it.
