I'd always been fairly casual when on the rare occasions I sold kit, merely because morally I could never stitch anybody up with dodgy kit, but sold a pistol once & my spidey senses were tingling, so I made an up close video of the guns condition (something I'd never done before), as well as the three mags it came with, & finally all three being emptied through the gun. Sent off the kit , gave it no more thought. Month later I get a bs msg from the buyer, "due to work commitments he hadn't been able to play, nor check the gun, but now having done so he'd found numerous faults with both gun & mags that made it unusable & would like a full refund" otherwise he'll involve PayPal. What he didn't know was that another player who'd shown interest in the gun when I'd had it for sale, but didn't have the funds, had messaged me two weeks before to say the guy had posted it for sale on Facebook (back when you could), for considerably more than he'd paid. I'd checked out his page, yep the gun was in immaculate condition he'd stated, everything working as it should, & also lots of mentions of sites he'd recently played at lol. Needless to say my offer to send him the video, as well as screenshots of his ad etc, wasn't responded to, in fact I never heard from the chancer again, but it tickles me that when he couldn't sell it on, he might have bolloxed it himself to back up his bs claim 🤣

I still think it was definitely a positive result, the seller was upfront & detailed in known issues, the buyer, who stated "thanks for the working gun" or words to that effect, then placed it in the hands of an unknown third party who dismantled it, possibly without the technical knowledge needed & maybe causing further issues in the process ?, & then the seller gets a demand for a full refund in exchange for a bag of bits, that's some "Jack & the Beanstalk" shit right there, what if the bag of bits that came back was incomplete or parts had been swapped, sellers good bits for knackered bits from another gat ?. Is the buyer a knob, only time will tell but he definitively pulled some dick strokes (npi🤣), & most of us felt sure the seller was gonna get screwed over, mainly because its happened too many times before. So yeah, I'd call it a win, & thank you @1967PF44 for sharing it with us, lessons may be learned by everyone that reads it in the future. 👍

I agree, op should direct him to join here, not necessarily so we all get dibs lol, selling rifs via Facebook is still against their T&C's, & knowing how "intrusive" they can be may cause problems for those involved, as well as any Airsoft pages they're members of, whereas here there are no such issues 👍

Welcome, your in the right place for good well intentioned advice from fellow geriatric pie lovers 🥮🐖. Best advice I personally can give you is don't be sucked in by the gearqueers & stitch counters, for every bit of super expensive kit thats seen on seal team or similar, there's an airsoft version that costs about 20% of the real steel kit, & it'll do the job almost as well when you take in to account how much use its likely to get in comparison to real world combat. Plus, as you mentioned your lad is your youngest, no doubt your having to pick up the tab on everything for both of you lol. Same goes for guns, yes it's very easy to blow £500+ on top line kit, brands such as cyma do the job for considerably less, so no need to get silly (well not straight away anyway 🤣) With regards to load carrying kit, go as light as you can to start with, if you are carrying extra timber, overloading your self with multiple layers of sweat inducing tactical nylon will finish you off by lunchtime, so think about what you need rather than what you want. & have fun👍

"if it looks to good to be true, it probably is" Not worth the risk, if you've got even the slightest doubt, walk away. Given that it's via Facebook, I'd run like fuck lol.

I've got to admit, when it comes to thread derailment, you guys have excelled on this one, quite literally went off the rails by the second post, a record even by afuk's standards👌👍🤣

Pretty sure it's a massive NO, ICS m4 bodies have some size difference to what is the Airsoft norm, such as tm etc. Also ICS run a split gearbox in their m4's, which again makes them incompatible with everything else. As far as I know ? lol

Shamal remembers seeing them, back in the day🤣 (retreats to my improvised nbc shelter awaiting the abuse😬) PS my mate, black Trinidadian, got married in a kilt, no one said a word ....... other than the state of his legs lol🦵🏿

That's pretty cool, wire coat hanger inside to give it a wee bit of stiffness ?

Best delivered-to-door 2.32J spring sniper for non poors?
Tackle replied to Rogerborg's topic in Single Action Guns
Yeah the others are KA knockoffs & are cheaper, but not so much that they're worth taking a risk on. I meant the srs & ssg stuff are lots more pennies. Alternatively, did I see a cyma SVD springer ?, that I'd consider 🤔 EDIT Cyma is an aeg, but A&k do a springer also, unsure how workable the internals are ? (someone will know😏) -
Best delivered-to-door 2.32J spring sniper for non poors?
Tackle replied to Rogerborg's topic in Single Action Guns
I've got a ka, bought as a cosmetic project, while I've not skirmished it yet, all the reviews I checked all listed the points I mentioned as positives, & very different from the usual sniper platform internals that require a lot of fettling usually to get it right, & don't get me started on the so called vsr compatibility claims. Plus the KA can be had for as little as £150 from the likes of bbguns4less, & I know your legendary for watching the pennies 😜, the others you mentioned are considerably more expensive 🤔 -
We might be able to better advise if we had a bit more info, such as playing experience & style, as well as current and previous Airsoft armoury ?

LOL, no, October, the "great storm", fuck all great about it though 🤕

Best delivered-to-door 2.32J spring sniper for non poors?
Tackle replied to Rogerborg's topic in Single Action Guns
Something outside of the box? While not a perfect sniper out of the box, the KA SVD spring version is easily upgradeable via a super quick spring change & aeg compatible hop components, plus straight pull cocking. 🤔 -
LOL, I thought something similar one night back in '87, woke up looking at the stars😳. True story🤣

What you mean is, your not prepared to accept an opinion that differs from your own, even though Skullchewers is 100% valid

So it was just clickbait ?, lol I guess it worked🤣

Dunno if I've asked this question before, but a big "HEY" to players in northern Ireland, what's your opinion on the pos Glennie, he started out as a player, does he still play ?, if so is he shunned or is the fact he doesn't appear to shit on his doorstep mean that people there don't take much notice ? Just intrigued to know what players over there think.? Cheers

Lol, this is definitely an entertaining thread, when I voted I voted both, I still stand by that, both are equally right & wrong in their approach & attitudes 😏 But at the same time there are lessons to be learned that we could all take from this when it comes to buying & selling. Personally, on the rare occasions I sell kit, its always "all in", if someone makes an offer, I'll consider it (I'm not Dedsec ffs😜) , & assuming it's a bog standard UK delivery there'll be no extras to be added, lifes too short to quibble over pennies, which is probably why I'll always be poor lol🤣

Amen. Question to @quango2k, has it sold ?, did you have another buyer also trying to buy the item at the same time as @Musica, as he's inferring ? Edit: i asked the question because a real bugbear of mine, & it's happened a couple of times, is when you've started a conversation with someone regarding a sale, their responses indicate its available to you & your just waiting for them to send their PayPal details, & then they go quiet, prompting me to "nudge" them with a pm or two over the next 24hrs, made even more aggravating by the fact they've read messages & not responded, & then the sale item gets marked as sold, & I'm like "WTF MAN", & have been pissed off enough to contemplate shitty feedback, if nothing else for their lack of manners/courtesy🤬
