Thanks for the review, the sites not too far from me but already I'm put off by the idea of a long slog from car park to safezone, that's kinda on me due to health stuff, but at the same time I have to question why this seems to be a "feature" at many sites, slogging through mud etc with ALL your kit isn't a great start or end of a day, & also rules out the option of working from a secure vehicle if your not entirely satisfied with the security of your very expensive kit left in the safezone area. -
No, its not limited to 350fps, that's just the ballpark figure it's hoping to achieve with its current collective of parts & its set up. Same goes for its range & accuracy, its down to parts & setup, as well as its ability with semi & full auto. All of this can be fixed relatively easily, & for not a stupid amount of money. Which to me sounds like a better option than attempting to "circumnavigate' (ie break) the law in relation to the vcra. Personally though I think you should feck right off, but that's only cos I'm obscenely old at almost 55 & clearly riddled with dementia etc😜

Consider around 60-70% of the rrp of the gun & tracer, like you not everyone will like the paint job, so you'll not get any more for it, irrespective of what it may have cost you to get done. In fact I'd go as far to say it may detract from the price ?, but before you break out the spray cans, consider that layers of paint on top of previous paint aren't usually a good look either, reduces detail etc.

Talking of ebay boot "bargains", how about these, they're clearly not knackered, but that price ffs 😳 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155240069807?hash=item2425077aaf%3Ag%3AchoAAOSwUpxjRtNV&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoPEZ5TsNFiSKdFGgqNK04XaraSb4Jyf3TbHbruZ8f0MQqtTHqO9Vl3joqYXk%2B%2F9dUak8oDHj31p%2B1Nty5rXWzKdALURmrvIQja4Q8C2ynn%2BRxdmFl2rEBLmSvnAgnz8HAYGPttTE3mmRgejMo%2FshC3K0Xg6lR7qvL37xEvdTSv8AlvXmFpCRbuY0NsiwTG4hXt23jEkotXNRlGIyT3csVxE%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR-CC2caIYQ&LH_ItemCondition=4

Maybe they're away on a break, I did spot an email address on their contact form, might be the only way to get a response if they're out of the country. -

Yesterday it was an ares AS03, got a plan for a folding stock for it. & it means I've got even more mags, as I picked up an AS02 a couple of weeks ago lol

I've been playing 21+ years, but I've not got ukara, hasn't held me back from buying waaaay too many guns, most recent one yesterday lol

Your absolutely right, it is dodgy as fuck, but no more dodgy than all the vcra itself, a kneejerk reaction supposed to combat a criminal element who in truth are more inclined to use real firearms or converted deacts than Airsoft toys. Ultimately your committing no offence, if one is being commited its the retailer who's at fault, but as previously explained they, or you, won't be held accountable unless use your shiny new rif to commit crime, the fact your here asking pertinent questions & having a conscious concern tells us that's highly unlikely. So if you want the gat, assuming the retailer isn't hiking the price way above the norm to screw you over, just buy it, get to a site and use it, qualify for your ukara so you have other options, & don't look back, it's not worth worrying about.

A gun that I've recommended many times before is the M14 socom, I have the cyma version but have previously owned the full length tm m14, & Tbh there's very little between them in build quality & performance, but there is a pretty big difference in price. Mine is stock, but still performs incredibly well in the dmr style that I favour, but without higher power that would prevent its use at some sites, plus it means full auto is still usable if that's your thing. The other aspect of it which I like, & may be a consideration for your sons plinking/target practice, is the fact it has a traditional shape rifle stock, which is perfect for learning the core skills of marksmanship (as a former RGJ it was more apparent to me), it has to be shouldered properly for the best results, none of this half arsed aiming common with the more modern platforms. Whether your son is capable of handling a socom, I don't know, but for not many shekels you could pick up a full length m14, or maybe an ebr ?, & the shorter socom for him, giving you 2 compatible platform's capable of most jobs. Worth considering ? PS how good is the socom, last time I fielded it I dominated the other team for range & accuracy (just using single shot & .20's), & between games I was asked a few times by younger players "Wot kinda snipers that mate, its wicked" etc lol. -

As I said earlier, your thread was slightly unclear, & now even with clarification I don't think there's is anything that will meet all your requirements, I'm still assuming your youngest is a bit on the small side, so what may be ideal for him may be pretty shite for your needs, especially as you've previously owned some good quality kit, anything less may feel a bit "meh" when you skirmish it. Maybe a better option is for you to purchase your own dream unicorn gun, & then get a lesser, lighter knockoff copy of yours for the lad, maybe an all plastic sportline type gat, that way minime & yourself will have workable common ground training tools. Obviously what you really want is down to you, your previous experience must give you some idea on what floats your boat with regards to model aesthetics & brands ? -
Yes, fill your boots, ukara is just a scheme set up by retailers, obviously it's in THEIR best interests, but it also goes some way to satisfy the authorities that Airsoft is attempting to police itself & meet the requirements of the vcra. Ultimately no one has ever arrived at a site with a rif & been asked how they obtained it. Those kinda questions will only ever be asked if you wave it around in the local post office etc. Out of interest, what form of defense are you utilising to purchase a rif, & who's accepting said defense, I'm not asking with a view to critique you or them, it's just always good to know what alternatives to ukara are out there.

Your title threw me at first, but if I wanted to kit out a diminutive person with lightweight but quality kit, I'd consider the magpul pdr-c for a primary, with a tm G26 as his secondary. I've had both (still got the pdr-c), both bought for my son when he was considerably smaller, both were superb. Only thing the pdr-c doesn't have is burst fire, but that's easily resolved with a suitable mosfet. -
Most natural thing in the world, it's how I met the missus 🤣

Unfortunately wanted posts have a long history of attracting scammers, & a noob member is often a scammers dream mark. Sad but true☹️

Agree with the man above, screaming out to be scammed, also to be considered is we don't know steff, is he legal ?, even if a legitimate member sells him a rif, that still has the potential to bite us all in the arse if he is not responsible enough in its use. Yep ukara etc is a proven way for players to put in some time & effort in to understanding how Airsoft & it's legal side works, but then so is putting a bit of time in on the forums, learning as you go & asking the right questions. Just not generic posts stating "sell me your guns, cash waiting" etc.

Hey mate, there's quite a few threads regarding joining teams, be aware there's a lot of pitfalls to blindly joining a local team, search the threads for the pros & cons, & make up your own mind as to your best approach. Good luck.
