  1. Probably a small deformation or 'flash' of the plastic around the mouth of the tube. Check carefully and you should be able to cut it out with a craft knife (from poundland etc)
  2. Once you have a digital model it could be sent to a company like Shapeways to be printed in metal. Would probably need surface finishing and I duno what the price would be compared to CNC.
  3. You don't know what you're missing 😉🤣
  4. Up to you if you're happy to play with a two-tone. (You can spray it black after you have UKARA) Remember that a two-tone is not worth as much second hand so when you want to 'upgrade' you will lose more on what you paid for it. (most retailers will charge extra for two-tone as well) It is worth having a backup so if you can keep it when you upgrade then it would be more worthwhile
  5. Hi and welcome It would surprise me if they gave you technical drawings. That's a complex shape to scan for sure but it might be possible at least to get a starting shape and then measure more accurate dimensions after. You would have to take it out, spray it matte grey then use a toothbrush to flick white and black dots on it to give the surfaces some detail. Then use one of the 3d scanning apps or an iphone (There is a part for the WE Hi-Power I wish could be made in steel too)
  6. I use mesh with glasses as well. Haven't had a BB shatter yet. I think the larger mesh is a bit better than the one with small holes because it flexes a bit when hit so the BBs are less likely to shatter. But I'm glad I have the glasses underneath anyway.
  7. Welcome (back) 😉 (I haven't been since 2019 either) Hopefully someone with local knowledge will help with site recommendations. You can also check HERE in the meantime. You may struggle with an AEP for CQB as its cycle time is quite long and speed is of the essence in that environment. And it certainly won't work for outdoors I'm afraid. Even though its a pain in the wallet, it really is best to rent for the first 3 games. You'll get to see what others have and maybe have a go with a few if you ask nicely.
  8. I haven't played a game with medics yet and I already prefer the simple respawn rule. Most games I've played have a moving respawn with a marshal there to verify
  9. Yep, fogging and cheating bastards will put a serious downer on a game. Just remember, they can't all be great game days...
  10. Welcome Jack 🖐 Yep, as said by our Madhouse, you'll meet people there and most of them will be friendly 😁 The first time alone can be a bit intimidating but remember its not a test its to have fun. Just follow a couple of basic rules: 1) Shout 'HIT' and put your arm up when you feel a hit. (They'll keep shooting you until you do) 2) No magazine in the gun at the safezone. (Before going back take the mag out and fire a few shots to be sure its clear) The forum has lots of info on masks and other gear so do plenty of reading and you'll be ready 👍
  11. Welcome 🖐 As said, do lots of reading on the forum because most questions have already been answered. You have some nice weaponry to start 😏
  12. I actually like the sci-fi look 🤔
  13. I must be weird cos it doesn't do anything for me. It completely jumps over the line of being absolutely impractical for anything except shooting dildo's a few feet 🤣
  14. Welcome 🖐 Collecting is a thing for sure 😉 If you can walk then playing a game can still be fun.
  15. Welcome Spawn2 Emergencychimps covered everything thoroughly so just to give short answers to your questions: Firstly, there are 2 main types of airsoft days: 1) Most common is an open day 'skirmish' where several short games are played during the day. (My answers relate to these game days) 2) 'Milsim' days are for more experienced players and involve a large war game that lasts the whole day or even a weekend. There are more rules about kit and weapons allowed for these games. - Basic English is fine. - You can go as fast or slow as you want. - No specific camo needed for 'skirmish' days - Its not important to join a group on a 'skirmish' day. UKARA is a system for buying realistic black weapons (RiFs) from shops. You must play 3 games with rented weapons* to be registered with UKARA, then you can give a shop your number when you want to buy a RiF. * You can still use someone elses weapons or if you already have one its OK to use.
  16. Ah, strange. Not seen green ones before. At least they weren't the black ones 😆
  17. Why is the BB green? Are you using quality BBs?
  18. If its not engraved or at least etched then no paint will stay for long. You could buy the 'F' and 'S' letter punches (or a complete set) and once done go over the stamp mark with acrylic pen as Tommikka said.
  19. Yeah 'Gunfire' and 'Taiwangun' are good European retailers
  20. Welcome 🖐 Getting into the joys of tech-ing 😁
  21. Hi, I think I know the ones you mean. My son won one at a fair in Spain about 10 years ago. (It didn't last long of course) You can get those kinds of things HERE but if you are in the EU it would be a lot cheaper to find a shop in your country. Many airsoft shops also sell the cheap ones so you'll have to ask around.
  22. Yes, an air rifle is best if accuracy is the main objective (and cheaper) but the danger factor goes up by 100x A few rifle examples: (AEG) Gun-1 (Choose a colour option) Gun-2 (Choose a colour option) Battery (Should fit with most guns and last quite well) Charger (Note: This is the first suitable that I could find in stock. I do not know this retailer) Another alternative is a gas pistol (GBB) Realistic action and fun to shoot. Pistol-1 (This is a good one even in plastic) Pistol-2 (A big one) They use THIS gas which will be an ongoing cost.
  23. Sorry but I'd have to disagree with that. A decent AEG (CYMA or JG around £150) should last a few years of garden plinking. High accuracy is a different matter but for plinking at cans or other targets around 10m to 20m should be fine. @kirsty Do you know what type he likes? American M4 or old Soviet AK47 style etc...
  24. There shouldn't be a lot. Make sure its seated properly at the front. You can slightly bend the sides together to make it a bit tighter.
