  1. I haven't but I think my dad did a few years ago. It was a couple of sets of receivers, outer barrels and gearboxes. No full rifle but they were held up in customs and he got a call from them making sure they weren't gun parts
  2. Yeah. Trouble is basically all 14.5 barrels have the shorter gas system since that's what the military rifles use. I was going to find a 3" barrel extension to stick on the end. From what I've found there are almost no outer barrels set for a mid length gas system since it's a civilian thing which most cloners aren't interested in
  3. I'm planning a build based on the Munition Works Fixie LT. I'm using a G&P as a base that uses the tapered fitting for the outer barrel which already limits my options. The tricky part is that the magpul handguard I want to use requires a barrel with a mid length gas system in order to fit (yes I know there's a carbine length version of the same handguard, I prefer the look of the longer one). I've found a barrel that looks like it would work for a mid length but it's hard to confirm without just buying a selection of barrels and seeing what fits. Has anyone used this particular barrel before or have you found another one that definitely has the mid-length gas system? If I can't find on I have a 10.5 with a carbine length gas system that I'll just chop and add the length to. https://gpairsoft-uk.com/eshop/product/gp-11-5-taper-outer-barrel-for-gp-front-set-ras-aeg-black-gp-brl040/
  4. I was going to say the same thing. Load it up with weights, bottles of water, sand, just anything that if you do get stopped (unlikely but possible) you can show that you're testing the equipment or strength training like people who run plate carriers with training plates, because they hate their knees I guess.
  5. A piggy back mount for an Aimpoint Acro P2 for my SPR build. It's just a smidge too low as the elevation turret marginally blocks the view window but it's still usable
  6. With the winter months closing in I got the single most important piece of kit. A waterproof. It actually works pretty well and should keep my kit, my optics, and most importantly, me nice and dry without getting in the way too much. I am going to sew some velcro in to the inside of the hood so that it sticks to my cap though 20251008_201057~2.mp4
  7. I like to keep things flexible so I've put this together as a base kit that I can add to depending on what I'm using or where I'm playing. 4 mag pouches are mounted two sideways under my arm and two more on the belt for easy access while keeping the front of the PC clear to make it easier to go prone. If the need arises I can swap the front panel for a triple flap pouch and carry up to 10 total. Or if I'm running an smg I can put the panel with 4 smg mags on the front. I have two large general purpose pouches for carrying tools, speed loaders and gas and some extra pouches on my back for things that I don't need mid game. Pistol and one spare mag as that's the most I've ever needed.
  8. I realised with the rubber taco style pouches you can turn the straps 90° and attach them to molle sideways. It means I can nest them under my arm while keeping them easy to reach. With an extra one on my belt it means I'm running the same number of mags but now there's nothing on the front of my PC getting in the way when I go prone.
  9. Collect a few of those silica gel packets and keep them in your gun case. Wipe your guns dry when you get home (don't leave them overnight). The electronics will be fine but you can get this powdery oxidisation on the reciever and screws going rusty over time
  10. If I had multiple I'd definitely get a takedown at some point. I just like gimmicky stuff that I can fiddle around with. But I'm also on a very limited money and space budget so I have to prioritise what I can actually use in a game
  11. That would have been my plan. I asked about the takedown model when one came up for sale before and everyone was saying they're more trouble than they're worth as the takedown fittings wear out
  12. Thank you for grabbing that. I didn't need another project and that one was calling my name
  13. Raided AK2M4 and Luke for some upgrade parts to go in the G&P shell I got last month. One of the new XT inner barrels with the ZCI hop and maple leaf 60, plus a solink lite brushless motor. And a perun V2 and clicker plus wide boi nozzle from neg air. Going to use the G&P SR-16 lower and gearbox I already have to put this together. Next month I'm getting a bipod and a pack of G&P stanags to go with it to really lean into that 2009 vibe
  14. He should but trying to get him to finish a project is like pulling teeth. Maybe I'll inherit it since he doesnt play anymore and actually finish it one of these days lol
  15. It's utter insanity but apparently there is at least one real one out there that exists. You wouldn't can't me firing it though
