  1. Man this thread is epic. Love that you've built your pistol for Z mart. This lockdown has really channeled people into doing these kinds of builds. So much progress and that feeling when parts arrive you can't replace.
  2. Primary Glock>M4 HPA adapter arrived earlier today. 80psi is about that of the weaker duster gas, 110psi is touted as green gas but as our climate is fairly cold we rarely see above 90psi from our green.
  3. 80psi and with 0.25g BB's I'm getting between 280 and 296 with around 293/295 the most common. Hop is not set as I don't have the range so need to factor that in a bit but not too shabby. Puts it very near the 1J marker I "prefer" to play with indoors. Expecting the PDI barrel to nudge it over which sits it squarely in the same region as my capa's. The upgraded nozzle valve spring should calm that variation down a bit as well. Ran a couple of mags through, doesn't feed quite as nicely as my capa setup does but it does enough and they are dinky cheap little mags not the Ares 140's i usually play with.
  4. Primary and 140% recoil have turned up just now. May be having a play with those later.
  5. Nozzle return spring is well worth doing. I have an AIP 140 in mine, it sits on the locator and makes the nozzle super snappy. Very much needed if you're short stroking. I'm on about the nozzle valve spring though... that is apparently very hit and miss. https://www.rainbow8.com/collections/hicapa-customparts/products/nozzle-valve-spring I accidentlaly ordered one of these earlier as well https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140-C-C-Tac-AAP-01-Recoil-Spring/274684454775?hash=item3ff4782777:g:ue0AAOSwopxgFXEa I know Waldo is due to bring his own out at some point soon and I'll probably swap to those when he does but these are good for now.
  6. Anyone done anythign abotu the nozzle valve spring yet? Been reading they can be a bit flim-flam and cause inconsistency, I haven't done any "decent" chrono tests yet with mine as I don't intend to run it on gas but I did notice it was quite varied. Am tempted to throw in a spare TM one I have whilst I wait for the CowCow one to arrive.
  7. Dammit, don't you just hate it when a PDI barrel falls into your basket and checks itself out?
  8. Ok took a few test shots earlier and it was likely just cold green gas but had some wild variation. So may have ordered this amongst some other things. https://www.rainbow8.com/products/nozzle-valve-spring
  9. Flamingo is what Skirmshop were pre-upgrading the first few batches they had with before sending them out. From what I've read the latest strain are decent, happier in a BASR than a pistol but from most AAP users I'm seeing with them they are happy enough with the range. I just can't help myself to not break habit and go with a 70° decepticon though.
  10. Just wow! Can't wait to see this. Love the SBA carbon suppressor idea as well, hadn't thought of that. Interesting though as I wasn't aware the nozzle was G18C compatbile? Look forward to seeing this built up.
  11. Very interested to see how goof they are. Although to be honest I will never be sidearming it, feels like I should at least have a hoslter for it.
  12. This weeks installment is the upgrade process for the GE. I've hoarded some parts together, very happy with this build but since this was recorded (I schedule about 3 weeks ahead) I have since upgraded some other parts so we'll have yet another installment coming hopefully titles "final" build. We will see! Anyway - hope you enjoy it.
  13. I'm based just near J28 of M1 so I have a huge list of sites in less than an hour's drive. The site I have in mind is Skirmish Mansfield but I've also got MCG, Anzio and The Gaol where I think this would have a good bit of use. Swap suppressor for tracer (indoor mode) and I have Skirmish Kirkby, ProjectX, Hells Airsoft (new) and The Department all quite close to hand.
  14. It's a cheap M-ETAL one from Skirmshop https://www.skirmshop.co.uk/100x32mm-dummy-sound-suppressor.html I opened it up, removed the spring from the middle, cut the 2 foam inner parts (as per an old KM mk23 suppressor video) and then used them to sandwich a scouring pad strip I stuffed in to make an "O" (FoamScourerFoam). Will find out how good it works when the primary turns up, I want to get the pressure down low for a quiet (obviously not mk23 quiet) but fast follow up setup as I'd like to use this at the local skirmish outdoor site, they have a village, netting maze, castle, outdoor speedball field I think it would do really well at.
  15. Subtle isn't she?
  16. Incredibly easy, bolt out then undo the 2 screws at the top near the front of the nozzle. Standard spring is awful. The AIP 140% I put in "sat" on the locating lug (likely where a lot of the snappiness is coming from) but playing with the nozzle and bbu in my hands you can feel how stronger it is. H-Plate is going to be an interesting one, I changed my mind last minute and went Decepticon 70 rather than the Autobot 60 I'd planned on but the H fits so nicely into the hop arm, real friction fit, I'd be shocked if it detrimented performance, looking down the barrel the profile of the bucking looked amazing. Can't wait for the HPA adapter to arrive so I can rip a few midcaps through to get it ready. Was a leftover I had from my recent Hi Capa builds. Mike @ Elite Shooting Centre sells them but do be careful as I ordered an AIP 140 previously and he sent me a crappy red DP 125 thing. IF you're not desperate, have a look at Rainbow8, postage is about the same as Mike but parts are cheaper (you'll get a pack of 3 for £4) and there are lots of other shiny bits on there. ? I will try to get something put together. This entire thread has been an inspiration, watching everyone buy multiples of the things I wondered what the fuss was about. Having bought mine and thrown in mostly cheap upgrades I'm excited to see how it shoots. Took a few dry fire tests last night to test the trigger, woooo she had a little bit of kick on her (must be so used to a hi capa with lightweight BBU). Interested to see what PSI I can get 1J with 0.25's and 0.28's at as that'll be what I run it at (indoor/outdoor).
  17. Spent the evening putting some bits in. Barrel, bucking, h plate, went in no issue, really like the hop unit design, feels so much better put together than a hi capa. CowCow trigger, looks great, no sloppiness but have lost the use of both safeties, not a problem for me but no idea (or even cares) why. Hi capa 140% nozzle spring, OMG what a difference, stock nozzle spring is ass and well worth the £2 to upgrade. Fibre sights, it's 2mm fibre and the sights are plastic, me with 1.5mm fibre had to be very careful, got it in but in time will swap for 2mm. Didn't video any of it as I wasn't confident and rightly so, had it in bits and resorted to YouTube for a rebuild guide. Will probably do a build overview though but nobody cares about a nobodys build so not a high priority.
  18. Everything apart from the short stroke kit has arrived now (knew I should have ordered the black rifles one). The CowCow trigger is simply marvellous to behold but I naively read people saying it was a "drop in" fit and assumed it would be easy, looks like an entire take down on the lower half to swap it over. At least I'll know how it all works when I'm done!
  19. FTFY It's personal preference really. I rarely play gas mag these days and short stroking helps me get my ROF up when finger banging ?
  20. This ^^^^^ Yes as others have said though. You do lose the slide lock back but to be fair you can normally tell by the sound (well I can with my capa's anyway) so it's not life ending. If you're dependant on a slide locking back to know you've used all your rounds and you don't have a rough idea what you've got then you're not paying enough attention. Also not a problem for me as I'll be shoving either 110 or 140 round midcaps through it.
  21. Ideal i fyou have a buddy who can print them for you. Just be aware that too many will cause feeding issues as the nozzle can't return fast enough. I've read they take hi capa nozzle return springs (which I luckily have a spare 140% in my favourite brand of) so that will help.
  22. Does anyone have more reputation than post count? I want to meet that person and shake them by the hand.

    1. Shamal

      Shamal

      Wouldn't think so.

People like to talk without saying anything sometimes lol.

  23. I bought these as the colour attracted me and the price is delivered linky-mclinkerson However I had intended to buy these linky-mclinkerson May have bought one of these as well as its cheap and if it helps great. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tactical-Pistol-Rubber-Grip-Finger-Glove-Anti-Slip-For-Glock-Handgun-Hunting-BK/313204019825?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  24. Yeah shipping was a kick in the knackers at $27 dollars but they send it as "pneumatic parts for toy" so there you don't really pay any import on them. Well I didn't with my Hi capa version anyway. Can't wait to get it all assembled now.
  25. Absolutely ? Can't moan about how shit golden eagles are forever ? Well in other news, primary now have Glock>M4 adapters back in stock, 1 less than when I first clicked onto the site though mind ? It was only a matter of time. Was tossing up between primary and a couple of extended mags tapped but primary makes more sense.
