  1. Gonna update this here. Played my first game in 4 years and went to Chemical a few weeks ago. I've known the owners (Grant and Jack) for years from when they played at Trojan/Invasion in Stockport.

As far as CQB sites go, it's pretty run of the mill. Corridors to lock down, flanking routes and plenty of cover. It is a tiny bit more speedsoft oriented with music playing during rounds but it was still fun.

Semi only, no binary triggers when I went and a typical no nonsense rule set made for a relaxing and fun first game back. Smaller than Invasion was but that was fine, only 9 of us that day but it worked out.

  2. So, minor update.

I have a working AEG (The Krytac CRB) and I've charged one of the two 11.1 LiPo's I have, will charge the other.

I have a working pistol (Armourer Works Hi-Capa, I forgot the brand before). All 4 mags have gas seals that are holding.

I guess I might try half a day somewhere on Sunday to ease myself back into things.

  3. I'm not fully decided on committing but it's in the mind.

As for the AEGs, they will probably work with a fully charged battery but I'd prefer to get them at least cleaned and regreased beforehand.

For a working set, my Hi Capa is seemingly working, I'd have to check my KSG gas tanks as they always seemed to do well. All the seals on the Glock mags are shot though.

The biggest job is my CRB, its been worked on by several people and had all sorts done to it. I don't remember exactly what internals except for a Prometheus 6.03 barrel, a CNC Maxx Hop Unit (I think it was a Pro or something) and metal gears. It might have a motor but no idea. I used to run .28s and even with no hop that thing overhopped something fierce, so much so that I often had to turn it to a side or upside down to make the shot at short ranges. I only played CQC and I would probably go back to that first.

  4. So I've been out of the game for some time (transport, work and mental health takes a toll) and I'm moving house soon and with a new fixed work rota, I'll have my weekends available once more on a regular basis. I've been toying with the idea of getting back into the game as while it wasn't the best for the health of my wallet, it was alright for the health of my body (minus the scars). Everything has been sat for over a year or two so desperately needs work, alongside a couple of RIFs needing some more major work doing to them. Anyone have any recommendations for people that are willing to take on a pretty large order? Time scale isn't too important but obviously I don't want to be waiting a year for it.

Gun list (Might have brands wrong, lots of my knowledge has vanished)

    AEG

    Krytac SDP

Krytac CRB (Heavily modified, needs further work. It overhops .28's with no hop applied)

    PTS RM4 ERG

Ronin AK-47 derivative (Not sure, box says 'Blade of Ronin' and '6841C'. Never used)

Tokyo Marui AA-12 (This thing absolutely chewed through batteries when I used it. Like 8 in one day of CQB)

CA P90 (Cheap thing, unused for like 4 years minimum)

    Gas

Tokyo Marui KSG-12 (DTD M4 Mag adaptor installed)

    GBB Pistol

    2x WE-T Gen 3 Glock 17

    WE M92A1

    Hi-Capa (Brand unsure)

    NBB Pistol

HFC MK23 (Potentially broken trigger/hammer mechanism)

    Magazines

Something like 8x standard WE Glock 17 Mags

8x Double length WE Glock 17 Mags (Twin pistol days are fun okay)

    2 or 3x TM KSG-12 gas tanks

    2 I think MK23 mags

4 Hi-Capa mags (Actually tested, those things were holding gas after sitting unused for like 2 years. Godly seals)

Potentially mag springs in AEG/AA-12 box and 1x drum mag

3 P90 mags all need work

There's potentially something I've missed here but if I ever work through the stash and organise, I'd probably find it.

  5. Getting back into the game, I bought one of these today, https://www.bespokeairsoft.co.uk/golden-eagle/golden-eagle-ak-tactical-carbine-aeg-full-metal-inc-bat-charger-black-6841c and I'm looking at midcaps for it. Do I need to try and find G.E specific mags or would Say the E&L Midcaps fit?

Also just some general mag recommendations? I don't mind spending a bit more to get solid mags that'll work for a long time.

  6. So for the first time in quite a while (about 4 months) I've been able to get ALL of my RIFs at home at the same time and all in working order. So it called for a little photo because why not.

    Gun list is as follows:

    • PTS Magpul RM4 ERG Scout (In the case)
    • Tokyo Marui AA-12 Shotgun
    • Krytac MK2 Trident CRB
    • Krytac Alpha SDP (No adjustable stock on mine)
    • Classic Army P90 TR
    • WE Gen 3 G17 with WET lightened slides (2*. One in case, Silver outer barrel, one on bed, Gold outer barrel)
    • ASG MK23
    • WE M9 Biohazard

Most of it works, some don't work so well and will take time.

My playstyle means the AA-12 isn't practical as I fire way too much for the batteries to handle (8.4v NI-MH's simply overheat and stop working)

The CA P90 is a pile of plastic dog sh*t.

My Krytac CRB has been modified with a Prometheus 6.03 Tight Bore Barrel, S-Hop and recently had the gearbox rebuilt alongside a new piston but for some reason is only firing at 260FPS with a .2g bb so that's something to look at. It does overhop .28's though which is funny, even with zero hop dialled in.

The MK23 doesn't get a lot of love as I still haven't found a decent holster for it that won't break the barrel.

  7. Took a little trip out to Patrol Base on my bike today. Nearly 40 miles of Motorway in the baking heat and holy sh*t the junction of the M60 and M61 needs a MASSIVE rework because that was a sh*t show.

Anyway, I took my faulty ASG Tracer Unit and even without the packaging, got it replaced for no cost with a brand new one.

Also picked up 5 EPM PTS magazines, a couple of Picatinny keymod rails and a vertical foregrip for my CRB. Should get to use them on Sunday and I'll see how they work on in a CQB setting.

  8. So to follow on from my previous post in which I bought my Krytac CRB, I bought a new attachment for it and some new batteries.

Say hello to my new ASG Tracer Unit!

    Airsoft_tracer_stuff.thumb.jpg.37c936bbf5c083a4caae03a16dfd121d.jpg

Of course, a tracer unit would be pointless without some tracer ammo! So I went for some G&G Red Tracers. Most use green, I wanna use red!

Also, stocking up on some normal .2's because I'm damn near out.

  9. I've posted this in another thread but might as well post it here. This is my Krytac SDP painted by Ben Franklin, owner of Invasion Armouries (Formerly Trojan Armouries).

Following how much I loved the paint job, and the timing in that I was interested in buying a HFC MK23, I got said MK23 in a matching paint scheme.

  10. I finally got round to buying some guns!

Well, one I got before XMas but never took piccies. The other I got today.

    Gun #1 (Bottom one)

Krytac SDP. Super short to fit in a backpack because motorbike life.

    Completely standard internals, nothing fancy.

Cable tied a Nuprol 400X Pro Laser-Light combo to the bottom.

I affix a G&G Red/Green dot sight on game days for the aim.

    Gun #2 (Top)

CA P90. Again short for a backpack, also much lighter. (Half of the Krytac at a guess.)

Will be finding a way to remove the compensator to affix a tracer unit for game days.

WIll be looking at another torch and sight for it. Maybe a smaller Nurpol for the P90. Can't justify another £80 on a second one.
