nice idea. I went a different route and added fans to the side of the glasses. No bulky box or tubes as they run directly off a USB battery pack. A 2000mAh lasts about 2 days.

Decided the TM AKM GBB needed real Soviet AKM wooden furniture adding. After a lot of swearing, it's now fitted.

go to PCBway and go to the 3D printing section. you can choose Aluminum (AlSi10Mg). They check the file for errors and then send you a quote. takes about 1 week to produce and about 2 to 3 weeks to reach the UK. Prices are not too bad to be honest and expect the bigger parts to be more expensive. You can upload and get them to quote with actually buying so you can back out if it's too pricy. I've used them a few times and they have always been spot on.

stupid lack of TM spares making me reverse engineer the SCAR selector plate. Photo is PLA printed prototype on top. Final version will be done in Nylon resin.

this weeks project, a ACR stock adapter for a TM SCAR. Still needs a bit of tweaking but it's getting there.

The Marui LIPO for the MP5 is 35C. try another battery with a higher C rating. For info some batteries are listed as 20C but in reality are actually 1/2 that.

I'd highly recommend buying and using the TM LIPO batteries for the MP5 series. It's expensive to get the battery, cell checker and charger (£200+) however the battery plus sensor wire is designed for the MP5 NGRS series so will probably stop the ECU's failing. For info the TM battery is a 35C LIPO and the MP5 runs much better on the TM battery than is does on my other LIPO's I've been using (25C).

Cheers for the link but the 3D parts are only a short term measure as I should get my hands on a boneyard SCAR this weekend to rob bits from. Here's how it looks now with the 3D parts attached.

rebuilding a knackered SCAR and needed to make a couple of bits The part below replaces the front sight.

Lambda Defence with SD kit, Marayama and Archwick GBB's. On Vorsk 6 gas and using .2g BB's we get 340 FPS on the Lambda, 320 on the Archwick and 315 on the Marayama. The Lambda is the softest shooting and could do with some beefier bolt return springs and it's a bit underwhelming to fire. If you are after quality and performance then get the Archwick as it's outstanding. I tried it with 0.3g's and it had no issues lifting them and the hop still had more life in it and I think it probably could do 0.36g BB's out the box. If the straight mag version is what you want, but on a budget, them Marayama are (or already have) releasing a straight mag version with the spare mags around £25 overseas which is about 1/2 the price of the Archwick mags but sadly I doubt they will be compatible between GBB's. Oh and the Lambda magwell is annoying as VFC and Raven mags can move forwards and backwards, sometimes releasing a little gas, which is a bit annoying. Some sticky backed foam inside the magwell will sort it.
