Lower is coming along nicely. right hand side is pretty much complete however I'm going to make the fire selectors longer, tinker with the mag release internals a bit more and I'm toying with making the bolt hold open spring loaded so that when you pull back on the charging handle the bolt locks to the rear automatically. ignore the horrible printing on the lower, I have some surplus Matt PLA which is terrible and I'm waiting on some more PLA+ to turn up.

Hopefully you managed to get some mags as well. They seem to be unicorn poop at the moment.

I received some new Maruyama magazines and it seems there are a different design. They still work fine but thought I'd mention it for reference. Old style has the fill valve in the bottom of the mag whereas the new version has the fill valve just below the knocker valve.

finished the main shape of the lower. working on the mag release (push button instead of paddle now) and just need to finsih off the bolt release lever and exactly where to make a hole for the fire selector. On the plus side the Scorpion mag fitted in the magwell first time which is a bonus.

I should probably start my own thread instead of clogging up this one. Spent a bit of time thinning the upper receiver etc to be more correct in scale to the RS version. Printed out all the bits and put it together to see what needs adjusting and surprising very little it seems. Work continues on the lower and it's about 70-80% complete. In the first photo you can see the difference 4mm makes. (new on the left and old on the right). here's a mock up with stock and red dot.

folding flip sites fitted and working under spring tension. Fake bolt works however I need to add a rod and spring so that it moves forward under it's own power. The idea is for the bolt release to be manually engaged, like the real thing, to hold the bolt to the rear and then when released the bolt shoots forward. Turns out I'm 4mm too wide on the receiver so I've spent some time thinning the parts down to the correct size. I'm working from pictures from the internet and a pair of calipers so it's never going to be the exact dimensions of the real thing (unless someone has a real one and wants to share the measurements ) I tried converting the upper receiver STL file to STP so that I could get a rough price for CNC'ing but for some reason my Freecad conversion doesn't want to work on the companies program for STP files. I thought I'd see how much it would be to have it SLS printed in aluminium but that was around 500 quid to best I figure out the STL to STP thing. Here's a few photos of the current progress on the too wide body. I'm printing the new parts now so I can continue to tweek the design.

took a break from working on the lower to print out the upper on my fast 3D printer which sadly doesn't have the build volume to do it as one piece. Once printed I've glued it toether and I'm printing off some of the smaller parts to see what needs adjusting.

used it this weekend at the UCAP Vendetta site. Worked flawlessly and had zero issues. The only negative was I only has 1 x 50 rounder and the other 4 mags being G17 & G19 mags which meant I had to do a tactical withdrawl (run away) to reload the mags in a safe place. I was using .28g tracers and it was hopping them very well.

work continues. working on the lower receiver now. because it is going to use scorpion mags I'm going to make it have a paddle style mag release. for anyone interested the smaller parts will be SLS aluminium printed, the lower receiver with be cast epoxy polymer, the outer barrel will be a metal 6 inch barrel extension which will be fitted to a 3D printed barrel block. The only question I'm mulling over right now is how to make the upper receiver.

work continues on the Stribog. Inserted a 3D gearbox and hop unit into the upper receiver to work out what I need to do for the lower for it to all fit together. So far it looks like I will need to move the front retaining pin forward to accommodate the magazine. 2 main parts left to do, the barrel and barrel block and the lower receiver. I'll probably just use an existing M4 grip instead of making something from scratch.

at 290 FPS on 144a I was getting around 45m with 0.3b bb's. As for cooldown, nothing to write home about to be honest. I think over 50 BB's I was dropping about 10/15 FPS

I was planning on writing this after using it in a game but I got man-flu so obviously I was dying and couldn't make the game day but I'll do a mini-review anyway since I've been messing around with it and put about 20 mags worth through it. A bit about the Real Steel version: “APC” is an acronym for “Advanced Police Carbine.” The “K” stands for “Kurz,” or “short,” and “B&T” is the shortened name for Brügger & Thomet of Switzerland. The APC9 was introduced to Europe in 2011 in 9mm, and was quickly engineered for .40 S&W and .45 ACP offerings. The standard model's barrel length measured 7 inches and featured a right-side folding polymer stock. A carbine variant with a 16-inch barrel was also developed for the commercial market, as well as integrally suppressed models. I've seen this advertised as the SCW-9 and the APC9 however if you follow the B&T naming convention this this is actually the B&T SMG ACP9 K PRO G. Which translates as a Sub Machine gun made by Brugger and Thormet called a Advanced Police Carbine in 9 x 19 mm calibre with a Kurz barrel with a Glock Magazine lower receiver and the PRO part is anyone's guess. So there is now an airsoft GBB version of the B&T SMG ACP9 K PRO G made by Maruyama. Well I have no idea who Maruyama are and the box claims it was designed in Japan and built in Taiwan. Is this actually a VFC built GBB? It takes VFC style Glock Magazines but apart from that fact I don't see anything that screams out VFC. I think it might be a new company called Maruyama but I could be wrong and time will probably tell. Ok, so on with the review. What do you get in the well packaged brown box? The GBB SMG, a 50 round magazine and a fake silencer/suppressor, oh and a little allen key to adjust the hop. You might have noticed there are no markings on the SMG. I guess this is to get around any trademark issues outside of Japan. The silencer is actually a inner barrel extension and has an effect on the FPS when attached. With the magazine filled with 144a gas and the magazine temperature at 21C, the FPS is 290 which is pretty consistant. By adding the silencer this jumps to 355 so you get a 70 FPS boost by fitting the silencer on average. As you can see below the silencer can be stripped down and the inner barrel removed if you want to keep the FPS down or add a tracer to the inside of the silencer. One thing to note is the silencer is very tight to get on and off. I think this is down to the paint and should become easier are the paint wears down over use. I have a few different VFC glock magazines and they all fit and work fine. I actually prefer the Maruyama magazine over the VFC mags and in fact I just ordered some more as they are cheaper than the VFC 50 rounders and seem to work very well. The Maruyama mag works well in my VFC pistols just in case anyone was wondering. TM/WE/Raven mags don't fit this GBB. VFC G19X mag in the GBB VFC Glock 19 Gen 3 in the GBB Adjusting the hop is easy and involves putting the supplied allen key in the hole in the front of the receiver and turning left or right to get the desired hop effect. The good news is that you don't need to disassemble the GBB to adjust and it can be done on the fly with a magazine loaded. The other plus side is the hop unit has no issues hopping 0.3g BB's and I've tried a bunch of different BB makes and had 0 jams, 0 splitting and 0 malfunctions. In fact I've had zero malfunctions with about 20 odd mags through it. It's a very reliable little GBB. Inside the wear seems to be minimal after 20 odd magazines. I don't see anything to cause concern right now. wear near the barrel is minimal. The grey is a mixture of paint wear and grease. the bolt front shows the same paint wear and grease The rear of the bolt shows wear from hitting the buffer. there is hardly a mark on the trigger group. My conclusion: Weirdly it didn't come with any iron sights as standard. You can't find B&T iron sights that easily so the closest will be the IWI polymer flip up sights if you want to run irons. I don't know why this bothers me so much function and fitment are spot on. Zero complaints from me and it has a nice recoil to boot. Accuracy is about the same as a GBB pistol but slightly better as it has a stock attached. Range is decent but BB weight and gas used with vary the results. Negatives: Probably spare internal parts long-term will be a problem and I wish the selector lever was metal instead of polymer but that's just nit-picking. On the Mightjebus review scale it's a solid 4 out of 5. p.s. The Omega 9 tri-lug tracer silencer fits and works very well on this GBB.

thought this might be of interest. I got a delivery from JKARMY today to the UK but it looks like they are taking no chances when it comes to shipping to the USA. even the magazine had tape around it. Took me 15 minutes to remove it all.

Had a broken tappet plate and since I was in there I fitted a NanoAAB mosfet. It's a Tokyo Marui M14 with a wooden stock and firing at 330 FPS on 0.2g. I'll be using it this weekend as I've got a woodland day. I'm still deciding if I want to S hop it or not. The range on the M14, straight out the box, is pretty impressive so do I need to tinker with it?

see this has turned into a American gun debate. He's some wood for the fire: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. this is a paragraph from the 2nd amendment. Basically it means you can't stop people having guns as they may be needed to fight foreign or domestic enemys. However the average American can no longer go up against a corrupt American government as they have pistols and rifles against tanks, nukes, steath fighters, aircraft carriers and probably backwards engineered alien blasters for all I know. No American politician is going to try to remove the 2nd amendment as that would be political suicide and fail if tried however what you can do, is over time take small chips from the amendment for brownie points and votes so you end up in the situation where the people can still have arms, just not arms that can overthrow a corrupt state or defeat an invading army. Why is American airsoft on the radar, well probably because they are gun shaped and count as another chip. You see, even if it's successfully passed, you can still have an airsoft gun. Just not the one you wanted. Should us Brits be concerned? well probably. Gun crime in the UK fell by 14% last year from the previous year. Handguns made up 40% of the 5600 cases last year. In 2nd place was imitation firearms coming in at about 25%. Doing simple politicians maths, remove the imitation firearms and that would remove 1400 serious crimes a year. Our gun laws are stupid and confusing and probably for good reason. It would give someone with a political agenda good reason to throw them all out the window and start from scratch however historically every time the UK updates it's gun laws it all goes a bit horribly wrong. Let's hope the Yanks generate enough resistance to stop the change or we could find a hungry politician looking over our shoulder to see what we are doing.

So this one was a bit of a gamble. listed as boneyard on BBguns4less with no details of the issues. I had a few NGRS AK parts floating around so I bought it and when it arrived it was missing the fire selector lever that sits inside the receiver and is attached to the fire selector. The hop dial, which sets the hop, was snapped off and missing. Luckily I has a spare selector lever and I replicated the dial from another of my NGRS AK's and 3D printed it and it works well. It looks like this was a brand new, in the box, AEG that they robbed for parts - very happy with the result. And I also picked up a Canik TP9 whcih fires differently from about 99% of other airsoft pistols. It's striker fired, not hammer fired, and I quite like it. but me being me, I couldn't leave it alone as the extended mag release tended to dump the mag when holstered in my Warrior universal holster so off the the 3D printer again to make a 3mm thick extension to replace the standard 5mm version that comes with the pistol.

I'll post the results here but it seems a pretty easy task. biggest problem will be keeping the heat down to a minimum so that the plastic toggle doesn't melt. I think the datasheet mentions 240C which is the temp i used to remove the knackered one.

not sure if you managed to source this part yet but I had the chance to take one of the trigger contacts apart today. The link to the part needed, posted above, is the correct part and you need to get the bossed version as it will make fitting it to the little board easier as the to bosses (i.e the little black pegs) fit in the holes on the little board. I've got a couple of switches coming from mouser and once they arrive I'll fit one and see how it works. If it all goes to plan then let me know if you want your board repaired.

he is, but i remember a dude from another forum years ago that used to buy, make and replicate everything in a RS box for his airsoft pistols. Not my bag to be honest but I'm sure there are people out there that think 30 quid for a traded case is good value.

I wasn't really happy with the burnt chrome finish I did on my Honey Badger so I redid it with cerakote Magpul FDE.
