Re-spraying two-tone with vinyl dye rather than plain old spray paint
mightyjebus replied to L1ct0r's topic in General Help
I used RIT dye to change some AK Mags and furniture from Black to Plum. It worked really well and I ended up with a Mid life Plum AK74. You could do the same using Black and it might take more than 1 application to get it completely back but worth a shot. It's a bit messy (hot water with the dye and leave to soak for 20 mins if I remeber correctly). -

DAS GBLS PTS EPM1 30/120 round magazines. Ordered yesterday from Fubarbundy and arrived today. Pretty fantastic service to be honest. Each Mag comes with a very useful speedloader adapter to make life easy to load them. -
it's looking good mate, now I can plan to retire with the queue's of people wanting something similar
-
also worth making sure everything is tight, especially the flash hider as they can drop off unnoticed.

a 3D printed sleave between the receiver and the stock would probably work

in stock here: https://www.sixmm.com/collections/back-in-stock/products/copy-of-tokyo-marui-mp5a5-high-capacity-aeg-magazine-for-tokyo-marui-mp5a5-next-gen-70rds I've never had a problem ordering from sixmm but some people migth have another opinion. Also of interest is these 2 parts from JKArmy https://shop.jkarmy.com/bm-rmr-mount01.html https://shop.jkarmy.com/bm-gmf-stk05a.html I quite like the stock. I have one on my ACP9 and it's a good stock so I might add one to the MP5

Need advice on how to save this m4a1 TM Carbine advanced
mightyjebus replied to NuclearWaffle's topic in General Help
connect up the wiring, check the fuse and then connect a battery and see if the gearbox turns over. if it does then it's worth saving. As Lozart said you will need a new 1 piece hop unit and a new upper and lower receiver and rear locking pin. The plastic tabs on the upper you have are snapped off so it's never going to hold together too well so needs replacing. -
all my Falcons don't seem to drain the battery more than any other AEG

This advert is COMPLETED!
- For sale
- Used
For sale is a Tokyo Marui MWS CQBR which has seen minimum use. It comes complete and has 8 magazines in total. 6 mags are the 35 round Marui mags and the other 2 are the 39 round Ace 1 Arms Pmags with full trades. All the mags are leak free. Also included is a complete UAC bolt for cold weather use. The Marui bolt has a upgraded nozzle valve and I think it's a dynamic precision one but can't remember 100%. FPS will be gas dependant and the Pmags are unused. You can check out badabing's youtube video on the UAC cold weather bolt for more info. FPS will be gas and weather dependant but should be stock MWS. The price is £800 shipped which is about £350 less than you would pay for the GBB and all the bits. I'll try to fit everything into the original Marui box securely but if that turns out to be a pain in the arse I'll split it into 2 packages for postage. Basically you will be buying a good to go package for 365 days a year.£800

depends on if the problem was there before you disassembled. If it wasn't then a rebuild would be the first thing to try.

Cheers - made an order

The AKU's I mentioned above (https://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/shop/footwear/british-army-issue-aku-boots-grade-1-1537724.html) just turned up as I was after another pair. Photos for reference. Looks like someone wore them for about 5 minutes as there isn't a mark on them. Even the soles look brand new. They retail for £170-£150 but I got these for £51.99 all in. You might want to spend an extra tenner in a set of insoles for them.

I wanted to see if I could make a magwell adapter to take the ACP9K 9mm magazines. Turns out I can.

since this has been revived, I thought I'd update. AEG is running fine to be honest and the only modification currently is a little cover for the ambi mag release as I have a tendency to knock the release on my chest rig, which is annoying. I designed and 3D printed a cover to stop this happening.

I'm a big fan of AKU boots and they have been used by some SF units. They are normally pricy but right now you can pick up a pair of A1 grade AKU's for about £52 posted, which is a bit of a steal. https://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/shop/footwear/british-army-issue-aku-boots-grade-1-1537724.html

if life wasn't so hectic I probably would. Just been doing them for my team mates but if you happen to be at the prison with a spare pair of glasses I might be able to sort something out
-
made about 7 or 8 sets of these now. 99.9% fog free days for the last 6 months since I started using them. they run off a 5v USB battery pack (same thing you charge your USB devices with). They are very quiet, to the point that you don't know the fan is running when you are playing. I've just built a 12v version for shits and giggles and it runs off a normal AEG battery. The 11.1v lipo I used made it sound a bit loud but a 7.4v battery makes about the same noise as the 5v versions.
-
you can fit any -14mm tracer unit onto the tracer adapter you have or try to find a replacement flashider for it (which isn't -14mm and is -11mm I think). the battery is an AEP battery but you can Lipo's for it that will fit (search for TM MP7 AEP Lipo battery). If it is stock inside then it will be firing around 230 so probably best suited to CQB games.

it's probably the best AEG Tokyo Marui have ever made.

G&P make Storm grips and SPR grips that might be what you are after. Failing that you can modify a GBB pistol grip but Dremel skills are needed.
