The line is drawn at the site's duty to make "reasonable adjustments" under Equality Act.

To sue for discrimination the claimant will have to convince the court that there was a >51% probability that "failure of reasonable adjustment" had occurred, but because you cannot reasonably adjust the site rules to allow any aggressive behaviour to happen and compromise safety of others, it is pretty much impossible that such a claim would succeed.

It is not discrimination to not adjust the site rules for a disabled person if they are being a safety risk to themselves or others as it is going to "fundamentally alter the nature of the service".

If there's a tangible danger to others then someone's disability or neuro divergency / whatever is irrelevant.  I'm in a mixed race marriage, I'm somewhere on "the" spectrum, I have three nephews anchoring said spectrum to the ground, my teenager is mixed raced (and currently hating it) and I think our gay friend contingent is just about offset by my devout muslim workforce.....  So I like to think my worldview is pretty balanced.

That being said....   We spend too much time in this world worrying about those differences, when really we should all be treated with the same consideration and respect as we wish to have.  Therefore, if you're one of those that should be seen next Tuesday, then you should be treated thusly.

I remember coming of age in the 90's and caring more about people being nice to one another than worrying about their situation.   Airsoft sites need to worry about people's eyeballs more than they do the ability to walk, think, self identify... I think that is probably how society should look at things too.

If the guy was acting dangerous. Then hats off the the site for actually dealing with it.
Just because they're disabled, doesn't give them the right to endanger others. And site owner was well within his rights.

I get tired of seeing/hearing this.
I once worked with a black lad. Who was always on his phone, was always late back from break. Was even rude to everyone like the world owed him something. And was off sick nearly every other week. Yet when he was eventually sacked. He tried to take the company to court, claiming the discrimination/race card.
Luckily they saw straight through it. But it's the fact they try!....
Saw it only a few weeks back also, with a disabled person. Expecting a restaurant to pretty much kick out an already paying customer, just so they can get a table. Then threw a fit when was told to wait like everyone else.

I'm all for equality, better working conditions and all that jazz.
But when they get the equality and treaded the same as every other normal person, they kick off like right karens.
and people ever give into these people or atleast give them airtime.
    Worlds gone mad  these days.

Unfortunately it's all too easy these days for a wrongdoer to scream "foul", & Unfortunately I've known a few disabled people, some since childhood, that will play on this, in much the same way that some use the race card to their advantage, which again I've witnessed firsthand, in one job in particular.
@OrlithNightfire , if you personally witnessed his poor behaviour, theres not much more to discuss, he went against site rules & got banned, end of.

It would entirely depend on the circumstances.

Discrimination is covered by the Equality Act, and applies to protected characteristics which include disability.

If they were banned for being disabled then that would be discrimination
If banned for their actions as an individual then that would not be discrimination
But if banned as an individual, for their actions which are a result of their ability then that may or may not be discrimination - and can come down to what is reasonable.

This would be possible, but I wouldn’t recommend it

CO2 is handled in two states, in liquid and in gas form.  You would need to be ‘pouring’ liquid CO2 from one cylinder to the other, then when using it you intend to release CO2 in its gaseous state

In theory using the same as the Palmer adaptor, hose (braided hose), a UFA adaptor and some valves.
But CO2 fill stations are complex to do properly - come with the risk of freeze burning your skin - and the process also includes purging CO2 so you end up with less CO2 at each step

The page here covers adaptors and a video to fill a SodaStream cylinder
from a professional large master cylinder, but the principle would be the same with the key difference that yo would be emptying a small SodaStream into a larger paintball cylinder:

    https://palmerspursuit.com/collections/soda

An 88gram would be one of these linked below, which get called both 88gram and 4ounce cylinders.

You can get them on their own or sometimes in a set with their adaptor

Then for filling your shotgun shells you may need an on/off valve due to this type of cylinder being a disposable, the setup would be in reverse:

    1) Pin valve fill adaptor (if it has an integral on/off valve
    2) 88gram adaptor
    3) 88gram cylinder
    4) connect pin valve fill adaptor to shotgun shell

If it doesn’t have an on/off valve you would need:

    1) Pin valve fill adaptor
    2) On / off ASA (air system adaptor)
    3) 88 gram adaptor
    4) 88 gram cylinder
    5) connect pin valve adaptor to shotgun shell
    6) turn on the on/off valve

Generic PMRs are fully legal, require no licence and transmit/receive on the common frequencies.

They are available in various sizes and looks, different models / manufacturers handsets can take remote headset/microphones in either specific or industry standard fittings, and though most will take their own custom battery of various capacities some can have compatible spare batteries available and a number can take ordinary AAs or AAAs if you need some extra life when you can’t recharge

If it's such an issue for you, attend events and sites that based teams off the clothes etc you wear and don't use arm bands.

Ultimately, it's a team based game and most skirmish sites do that team designation using an armband, which based on the name should be on the arm, not the wrist, ankle, plate carrier or your left bollock.you know this before going to a site and paying your fee.

Just because you've chosen a special outfit for the day, I'm struggling to see why other people who have also paid should be at a disadvantage of not being able to determine your team as quickly as the any other player on site. As the anomaly you are the issue.

I do sympathise, but it isn't real war. I've played against players in woodland both with arm bands and against arm bands and if you're sensible, it's not that much of a big deal. I've certainly had days of being slaughtered by arm band wearing players.

Armbands; the name sort of gives away where they should be.

Putting them on the plate carrier also causes issues if everyone is looking for them on the arms.

I cannot see why people won't have them clearly displayed on their arms, unless they are trying to gain an unfair advantage, which is otherwise known as cheating.

Using green armbands at an outdoor site seems wrong as it does confer an advantage for that team; the same, of course, applies to sites that give one team armbands but not the other.

In my opinion, armbands should be worn either on both arms or on different arms by the two teams.

Players who put them on their plate carriers and Bush Wookies who wear them on their ankles are cheating and should be ritually disemboweled.

I like this idea as it helps ID what team a player is on whether you can see the arm band or not
I'd put those who put it on their ankle in this group too, no matter how they try to spin it that's trying to hide the armband and is cheating in my opinion. They're usually the loudest to start bitching when shot by friendly fire too

I do agree that it's a bit shitty to have one team using green while the other uses red, switching the green to blue would even things out

At my regular site we only wear one armband but they are worn on opposite arms so if you can't tell what colour it is,  you can tell by which arm its on.

Fuck me that was a rabbit hole.... to save reviving that thread - it was a blatant stepping on the RIF.  You would notice the different feel to the ground, and attached tree roots don't move like that - and if they were loose you would look down naturally to check your footing if only to protect your own pew from "death by fat fuck falling on it".

That's ignoring the laugh at the end and definite pause in step and obvious change in direction of his walk.

That Abbey link is poorly worded.
It is illegal to sell an airsoft gun to anyone under 18
But it is not illegal to own - it can be irresponsible to supply one to a person under 18

If the father was confident in their child being responsible enough then the father could legally buy an airsoft gun and gift it (with no exchange of money or other service)

Unless the father is an airsofter then they would not be able to purchase a RIF, therefore could only buy and gift a brightly coloured IF

There is seperate legislation for the storage of air weapons that if minors have access to the property the owners must secure air weapons. The police recommend a gun cabinet - but that is not the legal requirement, and subsequently seperate firearms legislation exempts (compliant) airsoft guns from firearms/weapon definitions (which can depend on different parts of legislation)

Therefore it’s not illegal for the OP to own an airsoft gun, but it’s up to the adult responsible for that child

    Ahoy and welcome.

The actual legal risk isn't purchase or ownership, but being tempted to take it out in public to show off to your mates, or even just being seen through a window.

So how about suggesting that your dad owns it and keeps it securely locked up, and that you only get your hands on it while at site.

My son wanted to play this thing ‘Airsoft’ that I never heard of before. He told me that I have to play 3 times and then gift him a RIF. At first I was against it but he convinced me to try it out.
I’ve enjoyed it and we’ve been going every month since. My relationship with my son has improved dramatically. Before we didn’t have much in common and now we talk Airsoft, equipment all the time (much to my wife’s annoyance 😉

So I would try to approach your dad from that angle. As Dan already said there are lots of Dad&Son combos on the field. I thought I would be far too old for this but I’ve seen lots of grey middle aged (and older) men out there.

    Sadly.....
You're still a "a little bittle kid" in the eyes of the law even though you likely have some fluff on your top lip now.

Also a point to consider - if you live in your dads house, you need to live by his rules, he may have his own prejudices against it regardless to the legalities.

Take him to a skirmish for the day, bit of bonding, you never know he may get the bug and then you'll have all the guns you want.
