It’s not part of the UK, it’s in the British Isles and is a Crown Dependency GB = England, Scotland & Wales UK = GB + NI British Isles is geographic = UK, Eire/ Southern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands You would be exporting from the UK to Jersey & will need more investigation on what any implications may be in jersey For declaration purposes you will need something descriptive that doesn’t end up being picked up as a problem later https://www.gov.je/Travel/InformationAdvice/ImportsExports/pages/index.aspx https://www.jerseypost.com/media/1442/guide-to-prohibited-and-restricted-goods-aug-2017.pdf

New items may be subject to import VAT etc and must be declared A lot will depend on how EuroTunnel classify airsoft & replicas and how it sits within their terms. In some older threads a few years ago there are some indications of them being treated as firearms due to the appearance of replicas and therefore should be declared in advance and declared to security for inspection on arrival https://www.eurotunnel.com/uk/legal/conditions-of-carriage/

Filling Tippmann CO2 Canister for Omega-PV Electro-Pneumatic RIF

Back in the olden days, there was a quick change magazine of 12 grams. The AGD 6 pack I’ve never managed to get my hands on one, but you would use one 12 gram and eject/replace it with a lever action It sold out as quick as they made them, but was short lived as larger CO2 and HPA replaced 12 grams. https://www.vintagerex.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=viewchangers&changers=AGD - 6 Pack -
Yes (I get the idea of what you’re on about) Ive used one of these modular travel cases: The angle of the picture isn’t ideal, but it’s a stand up roller suitcase at the back, the bottom half up front showing is a fixed bag on the suitcases ‘flap’ and the top half up front is a clip on laptop style bag. (You can see the two top handles of the laptop bag and the main case behind) Within the main case is a standard extendable handle, and the wheels are fairly chunky - not highly off road, but better than a basic roller case designed for in town only If you stack the cases and strap them well then it will work. The issues will be that the added bulk makes things unwieldy and you might overload the design capability of the roller cases wheels and perhaps add strain to the handle When all combined it probably won’t want to stand up, so be prepared to rock up then lay it all flat Otherwise it’s doable If you’re not confident in the strength of your underlying roller case then a luggage / sack trolley with good tyres wins For example this beast takes anything we can stack on it

Offering to sell disassembled RIFs was intentional smuggling to bypass the VCRA Its a different thing than selling individual parts

You may jest, but within the paintball forums community in the US there is a chap who goes by the name ‘one eye’ His story is about the habit of playing in gardens & taking masks off

Shall I just leave this here? Just in a single picture we don’t know the full circumstances. In the original picture he is wearing eye protection, the magazine is out, he may or may not have fully inspected that everything is clear. In this still should he be looking down the barrel? What could go wrong ? * There is however complacency, I hate it when airsoft guns are described as toys. Toys are played with, but not everything that gets played with is a toy They are not as dangerous as a firearm But a firearm is not as dangerous as a nuclear missile Whatever it is, treat it with the respect that it deserves * Presumably the soldiers have unloaded, checked etc prior to inspection and the officer visually and physically checks the breach. So that’s fine He could still get a barrel smacked into his face or eye - that’s unlikely but I do know someone who ended up with a bright red SA80 barrel sized ring in the corner or their eye socket and a grumpy mood
-
Alternatively - don’t put the battery and circuit board areas into a puddle. Is it reasonably sealed? Are cables, plugs etc insulated? Have you checked where short circuits could occur? Potentially circuit boards may have been ‘treated’ with a coating over components, or it can be done with aftermarket coatings (or even nail varnish) ((Bearing in mind you dont want to screw up a board whilst trying to protect a board)) For gameplay things will probably be fine. Afterwards make sure that equipment is clean and dry before packing away

I’m also not familiar with this system, but I’ll have a go with giving my opinions ….. and have had a glance over this video to see how the twin 12g cylinder works Option 1 = don’t do it. Either stick to pairs of 12 grams or change over to a 13ci HPA cylinder at 3000psi I expect the 13ci cylinder will be slightly fatter, but is a similar size and can be used with a stock configuration Option 2 = Don’t modify anything and backfill the valve. Which will only work if the valve allows back fills, and if you can make a suitable fill rig This comes with the problem of how to fill co2, which should be done by chilling the system and managed by weight You could technically fill with HPA, but have then abused a CO2 system and should only fill to no more than the equivalent 850psi as you don’t know the capabilities of the twin Co2 chamber. You become worse off with HPA then as pressure drops with HPA immediately as opposed to CO2 switching between liquid and gas states Go back to opinion 1 with a 13ci HPA cylinder Option 3 = tapping the twin co2 cylinder With 12 grams I expect there is no space to a tap and fit a valve Strictly speaking you don’t need the 12 grams, as they are punctured to fill the twin cylinder. So you could do without them which allows you internal space for a tapped valve. But you’re constrained by the stock it fits in, so you would have to find a point where you have a gap in the stock (and have now probably got it stuck in place) or at the front (it you don’t interfere with the valve) We also don’t know how tapping it is going to affect the cylinders integrity Option 4 88gram disposable co2 These are bigger disposable cylinders, equivalent to just over seven 12 grams But you need a different adaptor for the 88 gram and will need to fit the HPA receiver to the Omega These valves don’t seal, so you’re stuck with it fitted until you finish the co2, or let it all blow away when you remove it Option 5 - refillable 12 grams Making sure to get 12grams with the refill at the normal puncture point, hoping the puncture nipples open the valve etc ….. My verdict is to put up with 12 grams or take the 13 Ci option -
I’ve done that, but not a drum fed pistol Facing out of a bunker door was just my head and gun. Hand tucked under my chin. Body curled up in an impossible position to keep out of line of sight from the side Windows

Headshots is a contentious one But there are a couple of valid reasons for it: 1) back in the olden days before suitable eye protection existed for paintball (let alone face protection) You didn’t shoot for heads 2) for rental paintball the ‘headshots’ don’t count rule is to minimise blind firing due to players not putting heads out & to maximise playing time because players then poke their head out and get shot straight away. Let then play for more than one second and they will get a chance to shoot, thus generate paint sales Unless it’s young players, basic rentals only etc then all body hits should count (except for unbroken paintball bounces) In airsoft if players think they are big boys making the choice to wear minimal eye protection then that is their choice, and they should accept the potential of being shot in the head. If they don’t like it then wear face protection

No comment I avoid marshalling or any involvement in standard games so don’t need to be tied up in those Though once we did manipulate a false ‘disorganised’ game start pretending to not be ready so that I could disappear and the prop dummy came to life … and we did have a slight problem when our home made ejector seat was discovered to have been left in the garage and wasn’t in Marks car boot. We could have still run ‘find the pilot’ but the idea was to narrow the area by finding his seat, then find him. (We might have flipped two missions around, but if I recall correctly that was mission 2 so we started the first game and then the chair mission anyway with players hunting a non existent seat until Mark sped home & back and placed it in field)

One of my favourite games was in high winds and foul weather. Most players were cold, wet and miserable and a lot went home If the woods are just right then it seems to rain less in the woods, so get into the game and be active. On that day I got soaked and muddy in the morning, got changed to clean & dry clothes for lunch, got soaked & muddy in the afternoon and changed to go home I may or may not have changed boots during the day (damp feet are the worst) I will have had something clean and dry for my feet on the way home Everything was chucked into a bin bag and dealt with later. Note the top tip on cleaning it ASAP at home. You may need to hose it down depending on who is in charge of the washing machine and how foul it is On this particular occasion I didn’t, and had my stinking pile bagged in the car for the week. I was to meet up with someone and was on the phone when leaving work saying I’ll have to be late because I absolutely must get it into a washing machine. I was overheard by the receptionist and she insisted on doing it for me —- no matter how much I protested about how foul it will be after festering for a week. I then have lovely folded & ironed kit, along with her telling me how she couldn’t understand why her husband was so intrigued by this mystery mans clothing and all the effort she put into it

Game design bottle neck situation... HELP!!!
Tommikka replied to AirSniper's topic in General Discussion
A local printer ought to be happy to print a set from an Etsy PDF download, especially with the transaction receipt if needed They generally worry about copyright for multiple runs or the use of branded materials. They might question why you are bringing Top Secret documents to a print house if they don’t get the point of what you’re doing If you have your own printer it’s easier - download some fonts, make documents or download templates and print. A brown envelope should run through most ink jets, and just by using a pretty font in red you have a giant TOP SECRET diagonal print over it eg https://fontmeme.com/fonts/top-secret-font/ A problem when using a print shop and random fonts is that they need to also have the font or it needs to be embedded into your document Do you want meaningful documents or just any gibberish ? For gibberish a blurred image or ‘the quick brown fox’ etc will suffice If they need to read it for clues then you need to write some suitable ‘unrelated’ text that remains on topic to your scenario and that you can slot the clues in (this needs to be as short as possible, eg one or two spaced out pages at most) If you have a theme and the text you want to include then if you have time before the due date, I could probably knock up a couple of documents that could go to a print house or your own printer - and an email with permission to use them -
Let me hazard a guess: 98% of the 50 will tut and do nothing the remaining 2% (one person) will come on here and start a poll

Translations of the key points : 1) Mis quote of Bill Hicks: If you're at a ball game or a concert and someone's really violent and aggressive and obnoxious, are they drunk or are they smoking pot? (content warning with various rude words etc) 2) If it ain’t hurting you then mind your own business: AKA if you see people partaking in illegal substances in the car park then report it to the site, or don’t. Alternatively report it to the police, or don’t 3) Anyone using cannabis won’t be running around on site. Not entirely true. Particularly with the ‘medication’ element, whether self medicating or under advice … and that alcohol is a greater worry. An alcoholic can function ‘well’ with quantities of alcohol that would put others under the table. Cannabis has positive effects and negative effects. An individual can be suffering from a condition under which the THC/CBD content enables them to function. But that’s not the true subject of the thread - it’s more about being under the influence - which does not bode well for an ability to make good decisions around shooting people The abuse of drink and drugs don’t belong in airsoft, they can supplement ‘apres skirmish’ later
-
Back in the day, what the ‘average person’ thought was the smell of cannabis was actually musk or naga incense. The perfumes of ‘hippy girls’ and the incense they burned to cover up the smell. Then when stopped by the village Bobbie the guys would have their stash in the girls bags, and if pulled out with papers etc when searched would say it’s rolling tobacco. Except for when they were elsewhere and encountered Thames Valley They also sold oxo cubes to ‘weekend Hippy’s’, which would give off a beefy scent, but by the time someone attempted to smoke it the ‘dealer’ was long gone These tales come from the original hippy, who was a cross between hells angel and hippy until the hippy generation came into being and he ‘found’ his identity For many years he would claim that the old saying “if you remember the 60s then you weren’t there” was wrong, as he could remember the 60s. However following a number of documentaries and anniversary retrospectives the events he remembered of the 60s turned out to be the 70s That would be different as an event rather than a typical game & site When do they serve alcohol? I’ve not been to NAE, but have been to many Paintfest’s (the last few had airfest at the same time) and I’ve been to a few of the Warped big games (before they began duplicate airsoft events as well) Typically the bar would open in the evening and not affect game play other than night/evening sessions and the after effects the next morning At some of the latter years I self banned myself from either playing for a few hours or on the last year I declared myself unsafe to even walk on field. Though I’d be up and kicking our guys out of their tents first thing so they get their game play in

Nasty stuff cake. They tempt you in with the sugary goodness, then you’re face to face with a Prague Tran Decisions decisions. Do I fix the Prague tram/Tran? Or are the prospects of ending up with a Prague Tran going to be better in discouraging the youth of today of experimenting with cake?

A very similar topic was brought up about a month ago about “smoking drugs on paintball sites with children around” Its illegal (though there was a poster who kept coming back about it being possible to have it on prescription, and that they had prescription weed as opposed to THC,CBD) So let’s say that abuse of substances is illegal, and that whether legal or not that mind altering substances do not have a place in playing these types of games

the proper tool now is a screw extractor, but no matter what you use it’s going to be joy with something that small A screw extractor has a reversed ‘drill’ thread, which screws itself into your bolt/screw etc A slightly different Allen key would only have worked until you totally destroyed the head - eg imperial / metric sizes, torx etc Glueing / welding in something else sometimes works - but you have to lock in the new Allen key tighter than the resistance in your screw/bolt Cutting the head gives you a slot for a screwdriver - unless you also cut your gun body, or further shred the head Drilling it out brings in more issues of damaging the guns thread or leaving parts of the screw/thread inside and deeper than you can get at Do have a hard think about whether you have trashed a soft head, or it is thread locked in place - in which case you need to break the thread lock either with greater force (light duty thread lock) or heat. (Mid to heavy duty thread lock) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YTPZ35S/ref=as_li_ss_tl?SubscriptionId=AKIAJO7E5OLQ67NVPFZA&ascsubtag=688197298-311-1736137787.1634216909&tag=best_reviews_uk_1-21

‘Because I can’ is the finest reason for doing anything I’m proud to be able to claim that I was referred to as one of “you crazy guys” by the mad scientist of paintball, Dave ‘Gommie’ Walton (RIP), due to my pistol mounted under barrel HPA air cylinder and other builds
