Jacob Wright reacted to PigDoggy in TM MP5 NGRS Owners
Got the vfc mp5 flashlight handguard mounted on the A4.
had to do a tiny bit of dremel work for the back tab that goes into the upper receiver. The part of the outer barrel under the cocking tube (where there’s a Phillips screw) comes into contact with the top of the tab so I sanded it down some.
the holes for the retaining pin is oblong. The stock pin will still stay in place but I opted to use the handguard pin that came with my Magpul SL mp5 handguard as the flashlight handguard won’t need to come off anyway. Figured this way, the pin (which has a screw threading into it) locks the handguard into place.

Latest arrival
Not much info regarding these online, and YT videos are very old and scarce
Im pleasantly surprised with the build quality of the TM plastics and more metal than I had expected.
Still to be tested as my batteries are deans and I don’t want to change this at all.
more a collectors piece than skirmishable, but it will get an outing one day
The few YT videos out there show partial markings, this has full “UZI” on the receiver, probably something to do with different markets, but didn’t think that TM bothered with that stuff

Managed to cop a genuine 6094 in AOR1 running it with FFI base clothes. Love the MWS platform compared to AEG or hpa

As a UKAPU Rep - we’re starting to see more of these seizures where retailers mark the RIFs as having fps over 1J.
We are aware of it, and we are pushing Border Force for explanations around the investigation of each seizure.

Did the standard skirmish day at gunman tuddenham today with a mate, in previous years the after Xmas skirmish has seen over 100 players.....today started around 40 and dropped as the day progressed to around 20, which is super low for tuddenham.
I loved the day though, pure skirmish great hit taking and sportsmanship. The games were different, used areas in ways I haven't seen them before and new to me games.
For some reason, it all just clicked and the day felt like it was on easy mode. Some good positioning, lucky shooting and some blind luck just made everything go my way.
Most fun day of airsoft for about 12-18 months.

I bought one of these super-cheap scope mounts from Ant-Supplies (£9!), and it's doing a pretty good job with my old air rifle scope
It could do with cantilevering a bit further forward, just an extra 3/4" would help with the eye relief from my natural position , but it's 'good enough'.
(I suppose I could have the turrets in front of the forward ring, but I think that would look odd)

Jacob Wright reacted to Reef in Buying our first Pew Pew’s!
My son and I did the deed today and bought our first guns.
My son went for a Specna Arms SA-C19 Core Daniel Defence in Chaos Bronze.
I had my heart set on the Specna Arms SA-F02 Flex but after handling my sons choice it didn’t feel right. After trying a few different guns I picked up a G&G Raider mark 1 in long barrel. I know it’s old tech but I understand why they’ve been so popular, it felt really nice and solid. As I was buying two guns, batteries, etc he offered me a discount on the raider and I couldn’t resist…
They’ve been wrapped up for Christmas now otherwise I’d post some pictures.

Not really bought, more got
I sent in my LeatherMan tool that I purchased back in ‘99 whilst visiting Singapore
to the supporting retailer for warranty assistance
I was hoping for a sharpen and tighten
Instead, they “retired” it and replaced it with the current replacement model
Well chuffed!
I do carry it on my loadout if that counts

Six days , from ordering to delivery
Some of these Ali Exp sellers have really got their shizzle together!
My Kydex holster was just annoying me, and low holsters are just ball crunching
Hopefully this’ll be better

Didn't have an airsoft day as such, but spent a solid 8 or 9 hours helping Carlos with the new CQB site. We were building a structure all day - well one side of it anyway - and forgot to stop for lunch. Good discussions and stories exchanged as well as talking about what types of games to play in the new place as well as a different kind of "warm up" game for the regular site.
Poor chap has a lot of work ahead of him to be ready for the opening next year, so I hope the regulars of Special Ops appreciate the effort and money he's putting into it when it opens. He has a model of the final layout showing a good mix of buildings and open areas, so, even though I'm not a great CQB person, I think this will have something for everyone except Bush Wookies and DMRs.
Looking forward to some pistol and shotgun games. Plus it's slightly nearer my gaff too.

Yes their wording can be quite heavy. Unfortunately, nothing seems to move quickly as far as BF are concerned.
I’m sorry to hear this has put you off taking up other shooting sports, hopefully your future experiences are less painful!

That's great to know you guys are doing something about these kind of situations. I feel I also have to comment on the wording in their letters, it's vague as all hell, and at worst can seem quite scary to be honest. When "unlimited fine" and "no less than 5 year sentence" and "up to 7 years sentence" following "further investigations" are bandied about in the text, making one feel like the flying squad are gonna jump through the effing window any minute.
My wife and I REALLY enjoy shooting and were going to try and get into Real Steel, long distance target shooting next year...I don't think we'll bother if this is the amount of bullshit that gets levelled at toy guns in this country, can't even imagine what RS regs would be like. What a damn shame.

Presumably there's also some sort of snorkel attachment that lets you smoke your tab through the respirator?

Cheap new chinese kit with iffy knock-off quick release buckles doesn't fit in the 'realiable and hassle free' category, I'd say the opposite frankly. It might be fine, it might break after a game or when a bb hits one of the buckles; you roll the dice.
There's various Warrior kit on eBay right now that's bomb proof, plus some arktis as mentioned. Or there's the venerable BULLE options which have always been solid and yet still real cheap:

This'll be way better made than the invader gear kit at about 40% less money.

Just some of the examples out there.

@Madhouse I'd keep the first antenna on it if you're going to use it on PMR frequencies.
If you're going to use PMR frequencies you should have a licence from OFCOM, unless your site or game organiser has their own licence to cover this. There is a thread on this:
This video is a really good, simple one for explaining how to programme the radios, and I've used it for mine.

I'm the proud owner of a brand new TM M4A1 MWS GBBR and it's gorgeous! Slapped a EO tech and an old-school foregrip on it and it brings back memories of CoD!
Got it on sale for £450 so super happy with it!

Magpul stock and handguard along with the M-SL type lower from Japan. Front and rear flip up sights are Magpul MBUS Pro’s. Magpul M-Lok Cantilever mount for the Scout light. Have a rear QD sling pin from HKparts.
PTS muzzle and Laylax HK Mode-2 silencer towards the pointy end.
chopped down ZCI 100 spring installed. ~325 FPS with .20g bbs/ ~275 FPS with .25g bbs. All else are standard parts.
Per the description from impulse101, no mods were required to install the lower. However, on my unit….I opted to sand down less than 0.5mm off of the left side selector lever to create better clearance. The selector would have probably functioned fine without shaving some material down.
I ordered another one for one of my SD6’s. I’ll see how that install goes.
