I would have to disagree about keeping your car keys upstairs in your room. If they want your car the last thing you want in the night is the criminals upstairs with you and your wife/girlfriend/teddybear. My sister-in-law had a brand new car which was targetted by a criminal gang. They broke into the house and just took her handbag from the hall to get the keys and stole the car. Upsetting but much less so than them threatening you in your bed for the keys.

I have mine labled so that I know the order of usage: "First", "Second", "Third", "Fourth - Reload mags". Plus "Hi-Cap" so I do not turn itupside down in pouch/pocket. I have a shave before games to make me look like a 'smooth operator'

CQB Blitz Whitechapel (London)?
Jedi_Master replied to Alex34's topic in Skirmish Sites, Stories & Reviews
Ultimate Airsoft London is a customer focused, thriving new arena that is not only the first of its kind in the UK but also Europe. The arena is designed by Airsofters for Airsofters and home to Blitz CQB run by Airbourne Airsoft. Themed as a bombed out 1940s Whitechapel, Ultimate Airsoft - Private Package £65.00pp, Minimum of 10 players to open a session. Organiser goes free when booking for more than 10 players. 2 hour session. I appreciate that the site is new and may be well set out, but for that sort of price I would expect at least twice the time and actual game play time not includeing brieifings and breaks. -
Marketing aside, I was impressed enough with the Arc'teryx LEAF video to have a look at their kit. When Edgar Brothers Online had a sale on back in November I decided to buy the Talos trousers and Naga hoody. Had a wry smile reading about the same top and trousers when I went into WH Smiths earlier today to check out that copy of Airsoft International and the review of Arc'teryx (pages 62-63). I was ahead of the curve for once. With hindsight I would not have bought the Talos trousers - great quality but they are very long in the leg, the waist does not have any adjustment to sinch down a bit (Large are 36" and Medium are 33"), and there is nothing extra in the cargo pockets to retain/seperate magaznes so they move around and rattle off hit each other. I think that my Stryke trousers by 5.11 Tactical are better and half the cost. I should have bought the 5.11 chest rig in Storm grey instead.

Possibily an idea for a new thread - British comedy shows - in the General Discusion or Media of the 'Off Topic' section.

Warrior Assault Systems - Gunfighter Belt -
Jedi_Master replied to RandomTrashy's topic in Accessory Reviews
I am a big fan of the Warrior range and this gunfighter belt does look an excellent piece of kit, especially with the ability to simply move velcro sections and justifies the £80 cost. Pity that I had already purchased the Warrior Enhanced PLB Belt before the Gunfighter was introduced otherwise I would have chosen one of these new belts. http://www.uktactical.com/ Worth checking 'The "Share A Bargain" thread' in General Discusison as there are often posts with discount codes on Warrior kit. -
According to Wikipedia (not necessarily reliable) the reference is from Only Fools and Horses - episode "Heroes and Villains", Trigger wins an award for having owned the same broom for 20 years. He reveals that it has had 17 new heads and 14 new handles, but insists it is still the same broom; this is an example of the Ship of Theseus paradox. This has given rise to the expression "Trigger's broom". Edit: Also from WIki - The ship of Theseus, also known as Theseus' paradox, is a thought experiment that raises the question of whether an object that has had all of its components replaced remains fundamentally the same object. The paradox is most notably recorded by Plutarch in Life of Theseus from the late first century. Plutarch asked whether a ship that had been restored by replacing every single wooden part remained the same ship.

CQB Blitz Whitechapel (London)?
Jedi_Master replied to Alex34's topic in Skirmish Sites, Stories & Reviews
Thanks for update. Pity that player numbers are that low, would have thought they would want to run games. Word of mouth would surely help spread the news about the site and could encourage others to attend. Of course their prices may be putting people off, and a better deal may be needed. -
Airsoft meet for Sussex & the Mall

PM sent. Thanks for thinking of the idea and co-ordinating it. We should have plenty of bang for our buck. -

When you are at The Mall on Sunday it will be interesting to see which you think works better in the shops and basement, the black or the grey. Although they are block colours compared to A-TACS Law Enforcement camoflage (http://www.ur-tactical.com/index.php/component/virtuemart/view/productdetails/virtuemart_product_id/1736/virtuemart_category_id/)

Eyepro is an area that you should carefully consider and I think worth spending on quality. However, I do have a range of eyepro to suit the occasion and found using a full face mask works best for me. There is the debate over solid lens or mesh, yet again it is what works for you. I have mesh as back-up. Use the search button and try terms 'fogging, 'goggles', and 'mask' and you will find lots of previous threads with some good information and other players' experiences. I mainly use a clear lens due to playing indoors CQB and in being in areas of low/no light. I do also have a tinted lens for outdoors in sunlight to help cut down on glare.

I like the raised worktops along the wall as it is easier to sort /prepare kit. However, I do find that using the wobbly chairs means you end up talking to more players. Advantage of getting their early is being able to park in a better spot in those extremely tight parking bays and able to open the car door. With a lead marshall away I did find the safety briefing so much quicker, and that could explain why chrono took longer.

Grey is the new black Take a look at multi-cam black. Do not worry about too much about a load-out, just wear some comfortable clothing. Play some games first and see what other players are wearing and if there is anything you like the look of. It is all down to personal preference, budget, and site.

FAST helmet cover in Typhon camo. It took a month to arrive but only cost £9.99 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351239634938?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=620428192357&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT -
Could try Google - http://www.combat-action-games.uk/ Combat Action Games is a woodland based airsoft site running games every other Sunday. The site is a large 120 acre woodland based just north of Norwich in Norfolk.

Once committed I had to just see it through, luckily there was a water stall to help keep hydrated and I am sure it did burn off some of the beer and burger calories.

Of course, being a Palestinian revolutionary the AK47 would be an obvious choice too.

But at least your office has moving scenery and good views, and you get to eat high calorie food from all over the place I once spent two and a half hours in a queue at Universal Studios in Florida to get on their new Harry Potter ride, it was hellish for only a 5 minute entertainment experieince.

I expect that JC would shoot a Galil.
-
I do not like queues, standing out in the rain waiting to get in is not my idea of fun. Same way I dislike long lines at chrono. Last time took ages and many did not make it in time. Never seen so many players having to go back after brieifing to get sorted. No idea why it took so long, and to be fair all previous occasions had been pretty slick having got there early. Hope it was just an isolated event.

Agree that the Cold Steel ones have blunt ends and look much better. My M10 bayonet may be flexible rubber but it does have a sharp point. I purchased my bayonet after being at The Mall on one occasion where a game started with only melee weapons being allowed for a couple of minutes. No shooting just knives. After being knife killed a couple of times I thought it would be a good idea to get my own. Moving around with just a pistol and knife gives options and is quite good fun.
