  1. One advantage of having a dog, let's call him 'Rif', who will bark at strangers approaching the house and wake up the family inside. As far as Rif is concerned, anyone invading his pack's den is an immediate threat and will be dealt with appropriate force regardless of their age, size, sex, or creed. Meanwhile, I shall be phoning the local Constabulary and getting some doggie treats ready.
  2. On the box I can only read: 334 fps with [0.20g] 430 fps with 0.12g 1.1 Joule max! 60 yds, 55m 24 BBs 2.86 lb, 1300g [weight] One Google search shows - http://www.sportsmk.co.uk/cat/796/air-pistols/cybergun-air-pistols/ scroll down to reference SP280518 Sig Sauer P226 X-Five Sport (with SwissArms sight) SP288502 Sig Sauer P226 X-Five Open is Calibre 4.5mm STEEL BBS These are both are £139 new, so I suppose second-hand and in used condition would be £70?
  3. I did not use full auto all morning and just kept the selector on semi-auto when using my rifle. But then I tend to play mainly in the single shots zones and keep out of the concourse.
  4. Surprising considering the amount of time I spent crouched down or prone in the basement shadows. Although, at times you knew I was there and stopped other players standing on me
  5. Maybe more expensive but worth having a look at (Warrior produce some good quality kit - but I am a fan, and use the discounts) http://www.uktactical.com/c-75-fastmag-pouches.aspx
  6. UK Tactical are offering 20% off Claw Gear - the CIL breathable soft shell jacket and the Harpagus Hoody until Friday 22 January, Use discount code SOFTSHELL20 The Claw Gear Harpagus Soft Shell Hoody Solid Rock (grey) is £115.79 after discount. http://www.uktactical.com/p-11730-claw-gear-harpagus-soft-shell-hoody-solid-rock.aspx?utm_source=form-signups&utm_campaign=introductory-offer-on-new-clawgear-jackets&utm_medium=http---sendy-uktactical-com&[email protected]&sendy_campaign=Bg4lOWJLlEdrqz6G4ZKAKA
  7. The other thing was "Power" gaming or similar, when some players in the second game had been going full auto for too long in the shops and not giving other players a chance to shout hit and get their hand up while still shooting them on full auto. Recomendation to fire a burst and pause not just keep finger on trigger, basically overkill. Edit: too slow typing
  8. Bring back the death sentence, for top 5-10% of heinous criminals. Swift justice not waiting on death row for years either. Cuts down on overcrowding in prison freeing up cells, saves the tax payer, and most importantly the criminal never re-offends
  9. I am the same, wearing clothing I like and is both comfortable and practical. I can also mix and match based on what suits the location and day. Wearing all shades of grey is a look but I would not consider it a load out per se. I often see things I like the look of and have to resist the temptation to buy it.
  10. The Kryptek Typhon is a nice looking pattern.
  11. I have paint mines and shotgun blanks rigged to tripwires in my back garden. If that neighbours bloody cat craps on my lawn again I will ...
  12. Yes, definately keep them out of sight
  13. Yes, one is dangerous and the other spoils the day.
  14. Well grey does match the highlights in my hair.
  15. Three ways how your wfie / girlfriend / pet dog knows that you have been out all day playing airsoft: 1. Looking like a victim of chicken pox when coming home covered in BB welts. 2. Smelling like Billy Goat Gruff after a hard day fighting Bridge Trolls and needing an immediate shower. 3. Moving like an aged sloth due to over exertion and aching muscles after a days skirmishing.
  16. Blind firing and non-hit taking - bloody good reasons for highlighting rules. Apparently someone was unashamedly 'cheating' and in presence of a marshall. Cannot recall any other details.
  17. It did seem a day that the marshalls were not happy, I have not experienced such a group dressing down before. Safety is important as is sportsmanship, and people have been ejected on previous occasions. I did not see any infractions or experience and bad play; personally had a lot of friendly banter and hand shakes with other side after hits. Overall a good day out, even with the schoolboy error of forgetting to set my alarm clock properly and only just arriving prior to the briefing start.
  18. I would have to disagree about keeping your car keys upstairs in your room. If they want your car the last thing you want in the night is the criminals upstairs with you and your wife/girlfriend/teddybear. My sister-in-law had a brand new car which was targetted by a criminal gang. They broke into the house and just took her handbag from the hall to get the keys and stole the car. Upsetting but much less so than them threatening you in your bed for the keys.
  19. I have mine labled so that I know the order of usage: "First", "Second", "Third", "Fourth - Reload mags". Plus "Hi-Cap" so I do not turn itupside down in pouch/pocket. I have a shave before games to make me look like a 'smooth operator'
  20. Ultimate Airsoft London is a customer focused, thriving new arena that is not only the first of its kind in the UK but also Europe. The arena is designed by Airsofters for Airsofters and home to Blitz CQB run by Airbourne Airsoft. Themed as a bombed out 1940s Whitechapel, Ultimate Airsoft - Private Package £65.00pp, Minimum of 10 players to open a session. Organiser goes free when booking for more than 10 players. 2 hour session. I appreciate that the site is new and may be well set out, but for that sort of price I would expect at least twice the time and actual game play time not includeing brieifings and breaks.
  21. Marketing aside, I was impressed enough with the Arc'teryx LEAF video to have a look at their kit. When Edgar Brothers Online had a sale on back in November I decided to buy the Talos trousers and Naga hoody. Had a wry smile reading about the same top and trousers when I went into WH Smiths earlier today to check out that copy of Airsoft International and the review of Arc'teryx (pages 62-63). I was ahead of the curve for once. With hindsight I would not have bought the Talos trousers - great quality but they are very long in the leg, the waist does not have any adjustment to sinch down a bit (Large are 36" and Medium are 33"), and there is nothing extra in the cargo pockets to retain/seperate magaznes so they move around and rattle off hit each other. I think that my Stryke trousers by 5.11 Tactical are better and half the cost. I should have bought the 5.11 chest rig in Storm grey instead.
  22. Possibily an idea for a new thread - British comedy shows - in the General Discusion or Media of the 'Off Topic' section.
  23. I am a big fan of the Warrior range and this gunfighter belt does look an excellent piece of kit, especially with the ability to simply move velcro sections and justifies the £80 cost. Pity that I had already purchased the Warrior Enhanced PLB Belt before the Gunfighter was introduced otherwise I would have chosen one of these new belts. http://www.uktactical.com/ Worth checking 'The "Share A Bargain" thread' in General Discusison as there are often posts with discount codes on Warrior kit.
  24. According to Wikipedia (not necessarily reliable) the reference is from Only Fools and Horses - episode "Heroes and Villains", Trigger wins an award for having owned the same broom for 20 years. He reveals that it has had 17 new heads and 14 new handles, but insists it is still the same broom; this is an example of the Ship of Theseus paradox. This has given rise to the expression "Trigger's broom". Edit: Also from WIki - The ship of Theseus, also known as Theseus' paradox, is a thought experiment that raises the question of whether an object that has had all of its components replaced remains fundamentally the same object. The paradox is most notably recorded by Plutarch in Life of Theseus from the late first century. Plutarch asked whether a ship that had been restored by replacing every single wooden part remained the same ship.
