  1. To echo the other players, a big thank you to Trigger for organising the game night. I know he put a lot of effort into the event behind the scenes and without this we would not have had such a great forum outing. And also Proffink for organising the pyro, seeing all those bundles of Mk5 sticks wasa joy to behold. It was a great night, certainly the best sportmanship I have experienced, friendly and everyone taking their hits especially the 50/50 ones. My only regret was not getting around to meet everyone on this occasion, good to put faces to their usernames and meet up with some other guys I have played alongside before
  2. The yellow duck outfit was incredible. Especially how you managed to move around with the webbed feet. And for those who care, yellow cam does work as well as multi glam at the Mall
  3. Welcome Try typing the word "kent" into the search tool. Then have a read through the threads, some will have site info, i.e. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27738-new-player-ashford-kent/?hl=kent Also there is this sticky with airsoft map of sites, http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/3580-finding-a-skirmish-site/ not always up to date but it gives you some places to start searching on Google
  4. Which part? My taste in Buffy characters or the horror inspired night games (have yet to try a zombie experience).
  5. Whoever goes, it would be useful to have a site review of your experience and any good and bad points from the day.
  6. Well it was a good film but the early series did have the lovely Charisma Carpenter as Cordelia Chase. Maybe save that theme for our Gothic or All Hallows night game
  7. True, I will be in my Buffy vampire kit. So which wood did you want steak to be, oak, ash, or yew?
  8. This weekend? Damn, I may be too busy putting my tumble dryer lint collection into colour and shade order... however, if all the girls are getting together for a dump pouch bang fest then I ought to make the effort to attend
  9. Advantage of having the non-vented maritime type or simply using a helmet cover to stop those flukey head shots The number of times I that have hit my head or knocked into something, especially when in the dark, and avoided any injury or pain due to wearing a FAST helmet makes it an essential piece of kit for me.
  10. FMA and Emerson helmets are copies of the real thing, a replica, in the same way that a Tokyo Marui gun is a replica of the real steel. And the really cheap ones, the 'clones' (without the symantics of all helmets probably being made in china) whilst also copies, are more like the JBBG version [i just use the term "cheaper china clone" because I like the alliteration]
  11. Putting in a link to their website would be useful. I assume this is it: Badlands Abingdon http://www.swindonairsoft.co.uk/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=229 Not much information except the address and walk on fee £10. They really do need to put some effort into their website. Is it outdoor urban or woodland or both; is it CQB, what are the site fps limits, timings, etc Edit: I do not do facebook, so all relevant information needs to be on a normal website as well.
  12. Yes, see this thread. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28885-dye-i4-mask/?hl=fans#entry220804 I did have to modify my Fast helmet, followed a couple of YouTube videos for reference, to get the mask inside it. Fairly simple process: remove screws from front of rails, cut plastic straps and carefully pull off front padded section, remove soft padding from polystyrene part and replace soft padding into helmet and reattach the rails. Effectively you remove the front padding to allow the mask space to sit inside the helmet, otherwise the helmet rests on the mask and there is this small oval gap offering no protection to the forehead. Think you need the FMA or Emerson type Fast helmet to mod it, not the cheaper china clone with solid polystyrene insert, although you could probably remove some of the insert to make space (depends on your craft skills).
  13. I think the Dye i4 mask is excellent and would recommend them. I bought mine on Amazon from BZ Paintball Supplies Ltd for £75 (free P&P), which saved about 25% off the normal price. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FY5NB0C?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
  14. Agree, when I was looking for another FAST helmet this was the best option. I always look inside the helmet to see the fittings and padding, would not buy one with the solid polysterene insert that the cheaper/poorer quality ones have. Worth spending the extra to get the FMA helmet over the generic Chinese ones for £20-30 which have less adjustability.
  15. A Helikon Alpha Tactical Grid fleece http://www.military1st.co.uk/bl-alt-fg-35-helikon-alpha-tactical-grid-fleece-jacket-shadow-grey.html
  16. Indoor, all year facility, offering multiple days per week. There was a recent thread asking our opinions on a new outdoor (woodland) site in Hertfordshire, it is worth reading if you have not seen it as many of the points will be valid for indoors as well http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/29709-hertfordshire-potential-new-site-market-research/
  17. But if the Terminator makes an appearance then you can take one for the team as we all run away
  18. Just the usual four: HK416, Mk23 pistol, bayonet, and a few pyro. And my quick wit and repartee.
  19. I Googled the map for the first time I went to there but was still completely lost most of the time down in the darkness of the basement, it is so easy to go the wrong way. Even now I find that orienteering with the map is difficult, trying to balance the compass on the map whilst holding the torch...
  20. managed to post stsatus reply in wrong place, doh.

  21. Do not look at any pistols on the Internet, even when the urge is strong, it leads to the darkside. I am resisiting the urge but now you have made me start am thinking about owning a TM HK45.

  22. I read a magazine article about last years event and it was a good review, great to get lots of retailers in one location. If The Mall does hold the same event this year I would want to go. Online shopping is fine but I do like to see products in person.
  23. Now that would be a good move in the basement, sneak up behind a player and quietly slip one into their dump pouch and then slip away
