There's a company on eBay that does custom airsoft patches for about £8

^ Yes sorry Sp00n has made a good point. I wasn't recommending you buy the Norvitsch kits. I think they are overpriced. But it's a good idea of what upgrades to think about when sourcing them yourself. The kit direct from EdGi is currently £200 inc shipping which includes an uprated Trigger not in the Norvitsch kits ( IIRC) Well worth looking into if that's the kit you go for.

This gives you a good idea of what you need to upgrade for better reliability: http://novritsch.com/shop/vsr-10-tuning-kit/ There's a vid on how to install it all too.

My KJWs fit perfectly in the Serpa's. TheGrover, if the OP doesn't want the Mag's I'll take them!

I agree - I think a ship of some sort would be fantastic.

Yes, try a small local optician rather than a big chain. I wasn't allowed contacts for years but have had them for quite a while now. If nothing else it makes buying sunglasses a lot easier!

what does your other half think of your airsofting??

My wife said recently "With all my friends they seem to be worried their husband is going to come home drunk, in the arms of some other woman or out with the lads moaning about their wives. At least with you I know you are so sad that you will just be off playing armies or doing some other sad hobby - it's quite comforting" I think that means she's generally supportive -
Depends on the site, there is one site I know of in Scotland that allows pistols up to 450FPS but with a minimum engagement distance. Some people like the challenge of being able to hit with a pistol at longer distances but TBH, especially with a revolver, I don't think it's going to be that much use to you.

^This is the only real answer. Hope your friend gets the response he's hoping for!

Hi Guys, Got given a few MP5's by a friend who is leaving the sport and have managed to cobble one together out of the best parts but I'm a little concerned that I've gone over the top. I keep looking at it and thinking "yeah that looks great" then 5 minutes later it's "that looks too over the top for an MP5" Opinions? Alex

I hope it doesn't affect him. I'm trying to find reference to a story from a couple of years ago I remember reading on a re-enactment forum. A chap received a visit from the police over a break in to his shed (IIRC) whereby they noticed his re-enactment gear and locker which contained his RIF's - they asked to see them and he obliged then less than 12 hours later he got swooped on and all his stuff confiscated as he had a firearms ban. Can't remember many more details but it sets a bad precedent.

This isnt homophobic, but its a question about it

The world is full of people who are ready to get offended at the smallest thing, regardless of what their individual outlook on life may be. Best way to get through it all is treat people as you wish to be treated and as long as you do that sincerely then generally the world will accept you for who you are. EVERYONE is going to offend someone at some point no matter who you are or how carefully you tread. Be nice to people and think before you speak and they'll generally do the same back - if they don't then it's just who they are and you can either accept them for it or not. No point getting hung up over it. -
If you're on Facebook there's another option. Look for a local "buying and selling" group for your town/county and put a post in there asking for someone who can do the alterations. I guarantee you'll be able to have someone come to your door, take them away to be done and return them for less than £15

Try your local free paper or equivalent. Ours is full of local seamstresses. Bought some nice jeans that needed sorting out and they cost me £12 for quite a comprehensive and very professional service - all done within 24hrs too.

Loads of seelers on eBay will get you one next day. Rather than the UV-5R go for the GT3 MK II - same radio but pretty much every bit upgraded in some small way, no more than £5 more and you'll probably get more accessories with it. A little bit more bash proof too and the antenna is flexible so not likely to snap like the solid rubber one on the 5r

I deal with PayPal as part of my day job and have come across this before. Anything that can be classed as a "weapon" and most certainly anything that is covered as a "Firearm" is prohibited under their terms and conditions. Have known peoples accounts to be suspended for 3 months before for selling rubber training martial arts nunchuck type things. A RIF they really won't like if they find out about it!

Quite right. Don't worry about what anyone else says, you can still have great fun with 2-tone. It's the same gun after all. Sure you might be slightly more visible but get a bit creative with your cover and make sure you don't ever clean the outside plastic then you will be fine, as N1ckh said you can even dirty it up a little bit. It's all about having fun and yes some sites do ban 2-tone but everyone who is there is there for the same reason, to enjoy a day of airsoft. You aren't going to ruin anyone elses day by being there with a 2-tone so it's none of their business. Get one, go there and enjoy yourself!

Is this gun worth the price and what fps will it shoot at?
Avionyx replied to smudgebob1's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Yeah that is massively over priced. You can get the VSR-10 Pro for £179.99 from Airsoft Zone, then just by Typing the part names of the "upgrades" into Google and clicking on a few links in less than 2 minutes I managed to find them all available and in stock, together the price came to £97.50 So all in you could have the same kit for £277.49 Unless the Hourly rate for Zero One is £122 then those parts are over priced. You could even save another £5 on that by buying it from Zero One as they normally have the VSR-10 Pro for £174.99 but it's out of stock at the moment. Do it yourself, you save the pennies and get a bit more satisfaction too! Alex -
As Deek has said I think it would be very beneficial if you could get to handle some of the options you are looking at. For me the L85a2 is my preferred choice because I find the weight distribution and firing position suits my style of play. I think really you've already answered your own question after you said the M416 (a popular weapon indeed) didn't suit. Where about's are you based? I'm sure some members would let you see how you like the positioning of different options. Really whatever you do you will need to handle it first, because some people are happy to play with whatever they can, but others like me and you can find some guns just darn uncomfortable.

(Random) BB containers - What's your preference?
Avionyx replied to jeffery7466's topic in General Discussion
Great tip - just seen Tesco do the 1l bottles for 80p and the funnels look pretty perfectly sized. Interestingly if you search Tesco's website for "Ironing Water" it brings up Jack Daniels too. Seems a bit of a waste to me? -
Morale Patches - Just for looks or a cheap gimmick?
Avionyx replied to RabidNinja64's topic in General Discussion
If there are some unique ones or something that means something to you personally then go for it. What I've tended to notice these days is they are all the ruddy same! You'd think if they were selling so many of the same one they'd start to produce alternatives as there's obviously a market for them. -
Do you have a local Airsoft store that you could go to and ask them to order it in for you?

Great video, It also looked like the first guy might have tried to duck the kill if the Marshall hadn't been standing on top of him!

Are you able to fly airsoft guns to the US
Avionyx replied to iBrowniee x's topic in General Discussion
Asked a friend who has done this before. It's fine as long as you declare it with the airline and it's in it's own secure case. You need to carry your RIF defence with you in written form and it really helps if you are booked to an event or site in the USA before you go and can get a written confirmation. The airline will note it down and my friend had his RIF and the paperworked checked by a Firearms team at the airport before It was allowed to go through but beyond that there were no issues. As long as you do everything by the book it's really no hassle.
