  1. But not a 'Well' branded gun. Great post there Prof. Google is extra good for this particular topic.
  2. I don't feel it's the deliberate cheaters that are the problem, its the "I'm not hit cus I cant see the shooter" guys, I've encountered a fair few of these guys. I've not yet encountered someone in the first category. Overall it's a pitiful distinction. You lean around a corner, shoot someone in the back and disappear before they can see you.... and then find they're still active a few moments later.
  3. I had an iffy moment yesterday, I was shot at from about 8m crossing a glass door, I heard many of his shots strike the metal door handle, but I felt non, and heard non hit the back wall, I called "i dont think you hit me" I dont know why I said anyhting, but the reply was "you ... think?", shortly after that he hit me between my goggles and helmet, and I went over for a brief friendly chat. In hindsight I should have said nothing, but I do not believe I was hit.
  4. Welcome! Magazines come in a variety of sizes, however while your standard hi-cap will be 300-500 BBs up to 2500, and higher with box mags. Low/real cap is a thing, and mid cap is what's in between. Its likely players carrying several magazines either had midcaps or Gas mags. Mid caps do not require winding, you were no doubt given at least 2 hicaps - you mentioned both winding and reloading. Mid caps require no winding but typically hold 1/4 as many BBs. I used an electric hicap for the first time yesterday, I may never used it again, it rattled so much. Gas mags generally have little space for BBs, and hold typically not more than twice the amount of shots the real gun would take.
  5. I didn't go on the concourse even a single time while I was a "live player" the entire day. I missed a lot of that, I will note I didn't get shot once all day as a dead player, even in the dark. Did get lost 3 times though Basement was by far the best part of the games I played, seems ridiculous considering how heavily I criticise bunker 51 for being so dark. Sure, I didn't have a torch in bunker though even when not using the torch I didnt trip over a single person. Dry floors make a huge difference in the dark. I recall the marshals had to remind players in the 3rd brief or a roundabouts to leave other people's property alone (BFG, Guns, Magazines etc) if found on the gamesite. Slightly ironic for me as I had not long before that asked a marshal if they have lost property, but I found my lost torch in the safezone.
  6. How can I tell what spring is in my ~350 fps on 0.20 M4? I assume it's an M100 of some sort. I want to bring it down to 1J.
  7. After evaluating the cost of my recent trip to the mall at £50-55 (fu oyster), i've decided to buy both of these aswel. I think the timed will be the most effective per throw, but I think the Hex will most effective per game. So, Glow in the dark or bright unnatural colour? EDIT: From the other thread: http://www.mg-props.co.uk/grenades.htm http://airsoftsofsim.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/a-different-airsoft-grenade.html Tempting too. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27660-talk-to-me-about-reusable-grendades/ Carrying 5 of those for the cost of one multi shot and they go off on grass/carpet supposedly. Its a real shame the timed are so expensive/single use with reloading tool.
  8. EDIT: Did you replace the oil, I figure you've done the research necessary to determine how necessary that is.
  9. If that's the pump, i'm interested too, I scrapped going HPA because I could not find reliable data on how much to spend on pumps..
  10. Ah, I was not suggesting they would try and crack it. Better to go next door and see if they don't have a safe. I'm glad to see this thread is completely derailed from airsoft, I approve. Mod rename thread to "would burglar be more or less likely to wake home/car owner if keys cannot be located?"
  11. I'm not sure what your point is: (A) would happen if (B ) was true but (A) would happen if (B ) was false? I suppose we should just leave our keys in our cars by your logic?
  12. Woot! On a less high note, some peepz wos asked to leave, didn't observe it myself, fairly sure that was the point.
  13. ... in the safe, under the floorboards, under the carpet, under the rug, under the bed, under you. Personally I'd rather a burglar being flummoxed by the safe downstairs than motivated come upstairs.
  14. Using a RIF in the event of a break in Summary: You point RIF at person, person kills you and has reasonably valid claim to self defence, fearing their death. OR They get away with it and you're dead solely because they thought it was real. Note, if you point a gun at someone and they jump from a window to escape, or die some other way - that's murder/manslaughter.
  15. Well the pump compresses air on the reverse stroke, so that helps. If you've got £1200 buy a compressor.
  16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/Carabiner-Hook-Webbing-Buckle-Nylon-Molle-Belt-Hanging-Key-Ring-Outdoor-Tool-uk/291658201637?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&_trksid=p5197.c100068.m2280&_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140211125758%26meid%3De3c37fc560cb4915bbcbe2a98caefe6b%26pid%3D100068%26clkid%3D2671646857541601803&_qi=RTM2108002 Wait and see if they work though.
  17. Wha.... Guess someone will have to call them and find out the per hour rate on the daily games, that website's content is truly bad.
  18. Yes, my mistake, sorry about that. Maybe http://www.ultimaterecreation.co.uk/ are gouging the prices. Also: It's extremely vague, but it is clearly not airborne airsoft. http://www.ultimaterecreation.co.uk/ultimate-airsoft-london/airsoft-london.asp Maybe they do private games.
  19. [delete] Cheaper than going to the mall? Mall is what £35 for 6 hours plus £12 rail return, and a little bit of time on the underground. Blitz is £30 + for whats estimated to be 3 hours play.
