FML you're right how did I miss that. Been using my wife's back up phone while I get mine fixed and it has one of those learning predictive spell checkers on it. Great idea until it has spent 2yrs in the hands of my dyslexic wife 🤪 -

Gotta try though right if not this place will just become a horrible elitist little clickey forum. It is getting close now so how about just once in a while we go back to trying to educate rather than just berate. If they don't listen then gloves off it is. -

Not really as his reaction is from being posted on this thread. A quiet word works better than one that starts confrontational. -

To be fair this probably shouldn't of ended up in here. Yeah the price is a bit high and should of started about 50 quid lower at £200 but this thread should really be for the chancers. The type that buy a £500 gun take £350s worth of parts out put £400 worth of parts in then ask £900 for it. If a price is smidge too high a PM to let them know is a better starting point. If they reply shitty the hang them out to dry but a lot will hold their hands up and adjust the price. -
Becoming more common and yeah it's fucking stupid.

Some of the new ultra bright uv tracers do not illuminate red very well. Something to do with light frequencies.

No we are talking about to be certified if there was a register of techs. At the moment anyone can claim to be a tech, it is kind of like someone who can change a plug claiming to be a sparky. -

No all four main types are so simple that one course could easily cover all. How about all techs must have a proven engineering background whether degree, apprenticeship or just years of on job experience then sit a basic competency test? -

Because it has no warranty, is overpriced as a used gun and it is an Ares. -

No such thing as a professional airsoft technician. There is such a thing as engineering though which is where I earn my paycheck. If I ever do decide to go into fixing airsoft guns full time I would do so by going under the umbrella of a machining firm I know that has a nice empty workshop space I can take. For now though doing the bits I do I get by using the resources of the mid sized engineering company that I work for and who give me free access to do anything I need. That's why I don't just put bits in but actually manufacturer bespoke parts when needed. -

Lol damn straight I am. You haven't reasoned at all just tried to claim your right. Look at it my way do you know how many charity repairs I have done in the last few years that some so called techs charged for and fucked up? Doubt it because I have no clue all I know is it is too many. But I have a heart and hate making money off some poor sap who has been taken advantage of so will still end up doing it again. Anybody who can't even slap together a basic build and then calls themselves a tech and charges people money is frankly a cheeky fucker and a scammer. You talked bollocks and added a labour charge so you fit that bill as far as I am concerned. Can't be arsed pushing the point anymore but if I see anything like that ad again I will slap it down. -

@Jaylordofwaargh is right used is used. But it doesn't perform exceptionally well though does it because you messed with it and couldn't get it right which is shocking you being a "professional tech" and all. What advert should say is: G&G TR14 used and abused. I took an average gun and diy teched it until it was worse. Fitted a basic Titan mosfet that will only cost you £45 to use properly. Put in a bunch of upgrade parts some of which are notoriously fragile but I have supplied the originals for a real tech to fit when it breaks. So please give me more money than standard gun costs so you can have the enjoyment of this badly built piece of crap costing you more money and maybe ending in a youtube tech vid titled "look what some ham fisted monkey did to this poor gun." Postage and paypal fees included. -

Sorry but when you advertise something as professionally built then the person buying would expect some level of expertise. The fact you need no qualifications to be a tech is an issue I think needs solving as there are too many rogue so called techs ruining people stuff. I can only base my opinion on what you have shown and that G&G is not good an that noveske which you think is good sounds a bit off on semi. Based on that you shouldn't be let you near anybody's gun let alone get paid for it. That G&G is as simple as it gets and yet you broke connections spent ages setting motor height and knackered the original piston. I would never advertise as professional or call myself a tech when selling and my work is far better than yours. I have no issue with your price or you playing with your toys but drop the professional and tech bit. Edit: All the fact you have made money off it proves is that airsofters regularly have no clue and that you are quite happy to blag people. -

@Rogerborg why the unhappy faces as I was totally right. The gun he was trying to sell as professionally built as he claims to be a tech sounded awful and the one he posted up as good sounds no better than a stock G&G or Specna. It scares me to think people might actually pay him and then some poor sod has to take it to a more responsible tech to sort it after, which costs even more. -

No just believe if someone is going to call themselves a tech they should no the difference between good, bad and average builds. Too many people calling themselves airsoft techs when they have no clue or any real background in any form of engineering. Think so called airsoft techs should have a test and qualification to stop all the useless fuckers ruining peoples toy guns. -

Just because someone is daft enough to pay you to do something doesn't make you a professional and reading what you wrote and listening to that gun you definitely can't claim tech either. It is not professionally done it is a home d.i.y job that involved you breaking the connections from repeated tests. Tests that if you knew what you were doing you shouldn't need to keep doing. Fitting a Titan when you know what you are doing takes about an hour an a half with a re-shim and service. You spent longer setting the motor height than anybody who knows what they are doing would take to build the whole gun. When I get chance I will post how a good gearbox should sound with a Titan and re-shim and I will even use a split gearbox which are normally whiney little fuckers. Edit: No you can't add labour charges either. -

Best one ever, professionally upgraded by someone who isn't a tech? Breaks bits when fitting say he spent hours setting motor height which should only take seconds. All perfect now except for the whine that makes it sound like a double eagle ak. But professionally done ........ erm ok. https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/item/5543-professionally-upgraded-gg-tr4-18-w-gate-titan/# -
