Either light weight tac vest or belt rig.
Plate carriers absorb the hits too much and can lead to people not feeling it more often than most other rigs.
Yeah back up ☺ (was a joke)Seems to be a lot of confusion on what hop ups actually fit the G&G m14 when you look on line, surely someone on here must have gone through this and can give more constructive advice.
Starting weapon will depend on how you play. Which I was I said to try a few games and go from there.
Mesh is ok you can get a bb smash and go through but all the force is taken away when it hits the mesh. Its no worse than getting grit and dust in your eye on a windy day. If you do go mesh go for the real mesh. A good fine wire interwoven it will not effect your vision as much as the perforated sheet style like the nuprol goggles.
First things first how old are you?
Because if your under 18 the whole ukara buying a gun thing goes out the window.
If you are over 18 then as people have said go to a few games and rent.
Once you know if you like it then look at what you need. You will only know this when you have a played a few times and know how and where you want to play.
Until then everything else is irrelevant.
When you do know you will need £200 plus to get started on minimal kit.
So glad you feel comfortable sharing that.We really are an an open and understanding society on here.
Did his little round balls fill you up or was you left wanting more?
Congratulations duck a whole post and not one mention of G&G or combat machine. It must be some sort of first going to print it and frame it, its a historic moment. ?
Yeah they are pretty good bits of kit. The only problem is when I play I usually get about a dozen people going "whats that and how does it work" its starting to get a bit boring. Might just get some info leaflets printed and hand them out to everyone that asks. Or get a patch that says I am deaf and mute please just use google.
Good choice on the gun.
Grip and sling will be ok.
Mag not sure but as a rule I would stay away from dboys stuff.
The red dot might be an issue if you have poor vision. If you have an astigmatism the dot can appear blurry like a smear rather than a crisp dot. Glasses can help but dont always totally sort it. Have a look through someone elses red dot and check for yourself.
Battery get either a 9.6v nimh or 7.4v lipo.
Best bbs are probably ASG blasters good quality and reasonable price you want to use 0.25gram.
Good shout on not going for a Honey badger or amoeba they are crap like all ares. Seen two honey badgers die on the first day and its one of the ugliest airsoft guns ever.
At the end of the day the M4 is the best platform for airsoft because it is so common. A ton of aftermarket parts so you can truly create your own gun and get the best performance possible. My Sigs not very common though and will definitely be a 1 of a kind when I have finished messing around with it.
I am not a huge fan of M4s because they are too common but at least ICS try and put there own spin on it.Picking an M4 is difficult for newer players because there is so much choice in brands and variations.
Know where your coming from but a bit mean I think. ?
These are better

Good externals but poor internals. Very prone to failure. As proffrink says they are suited more to people who will upgrade the internals.
If you want a solid gun that you wont need to mess with try
Krytac
Ics
Tm
Real sword
All of the above will perform well out the box at last for a long time if treated properly.
