  1. Np remember when I was there myself. Also if you go for a lipo make sure you have it on a fire proof surface away from anything that could combust and keep an eye on it (same for Nimh but not as important but still should just its more important with lipo's as they like to go out with a bang, but 99.9% of people don't have any problems but better to be safe than sorry) and get a lipo alarm to make sure you take them out before they're fully dead. In regard to your other question generally g&g combat machines are the go to beginner gun because there's more parts, tutorials, accessories etc. for them. If you could possibly stretch to it I'd go for the g&g umg as they've got the standard from g&g (magical internals and good reliability) but the trade off is price (£200 new and about the same second hand with loads of mags and stuff)
  2. Assume that most guns/batteries/chargers have mini Tamiya connectors unless it says otherwise. The smart charger you use depends on the battery so here's some stuff: Nimh: Slower trigger response and rof but if they go dead unlike a lipo you recharge them and use them again no problem. Would say don't use anything lower than a 9.4v. Selection of 9.6 Nimh's: http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/batteries-bbs-gas-chronographs-c5/batteries-c62/we-airsoft-europe-m167/9-6v-t426 And charger for them: http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/batteries-bbs-gas-chronographs-c5/chargers-c141/we-airsoft-europe-we-europe-n3-nimh-battery-charger-p3512 Lipo: Faster trigger response and rof but once they go dead they're dead forever. I would say only only use a 7.4v no higher unless you have an active braking mosfet Selection of 7.4 lipo's: http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/batteries-bbs-gas-chronographs-c5/batteries-c62/we-airsoft-europe-m167/7-4v-t424 Chargers (would recommend the more expensive one as its a lot better but if you can't stretch to £50 go for the cheaper one): http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/batteries-bbs-gas-chronographs-c5/chargers-c141/lipo-battery-charger-t430
  3. What laws ? And I thought airsoft falls under imitation firearms in the law ?
  4. Same. Although it may boil down to the person dealing with its knowledge about the law best to put your contact details on the parcel (mobile mainly but more can't hurt)
  5. If they're getting two toned they should go through customs fine as long as you're above 18. Make sure to declare them when you're travelling to avoid any scares.
  6. Gun's Broke itself.. again >:( techy filed the nozzle down and it was fine for the game but now gun is royally f*cked think the air nozzle has went too far forward and broke the hop aswell (the actual arm that pushes on the rubber) Tempting to fix it then sell it an buy a ump, mp5 or scorpion that wont break on me.

Duck, how much would you pay for my g&g gr16, recently been reshimmed and generally maintained, fitted with a shs aluminium air nozzle (slightly too long just needs filed) and shs metal hop unit (broken) also note gun is two tone (just pistol grip and handguard it's starting to come off anyway) and nothing included just the gun

Hard to say, it is a 2-tone so I personally not looking to buy another to strip off the paint again really. Can't see how the hop got bollox'd unless it wasn't assembled properly or something. I haven't had to file nozzle yet but have shaved/filed tappet plate instead for seal/feed issues.

Best thing is maybe take a pic, shove it up for an appraisal, to get a fair price for it. If it is worth a gamble I could buy it, see how bad it is and offer you first refusal on it if a simple fix. You pay the cost of gun and if in say 2 months it still works then just the cost of repair parts n postage. Genuine offer depending on value coz I got enough G&G's n don't want a 2-tone tbh

  8. Air soft innovations tornado grenade - uses gas and fires bb's whilst spinning hence the name and is reusable. Just google it
  9. Just sol a charlie bear i bought aaaages ago.. for £50 (only paid £25 for it new) *puts shades on*

  10. Thoughts on the we m&p's ? (as far as i know on this one the full auto problem is fixed) and anyone got mags for it theyd be willing to sell ?

      M_P

I've got one and I think its pretty crap, it'll do the job in cqb but not much more. I've got the tm too and it's in a different league, definitely get that if you can stretch to it.

For £55 is it worth going for ?

    3. M_P

      M_P

Yeah that's about fair imo, if I were to sell mine (I'm not :P) I'd put it up for £65 Inc postage and 3 mags and be prepared for it to go a bit under.

  11. Depends on the look you want ? how far back you mount it, eye relief etc..
  12. I have mines up at £27 but will do a deal for you
  13. I have one for sale not sure if it's what you want but here it is http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/25976-3-9x-sniper-scope-mounts-and-mk6-helmet/#entry203504 (pm me and I can do you a good deal)
  14. What would be the ranges you'd normally shoot people at ? If you do CQB I'd recommend going down the red dot route but for woodland a good mildot scope will work. What magnification would you want (if any) ?
  15. Peoples thoughts on the KWA Glocks ? (34 specifically)

  16. Holy sh*t second hand charlie bears are worth alot ! If you want to buy mines pm me, gonna get some nice midcaps and a pistol :D

wtf is a Charlie Bear... and why haven't I got one.

  17. 3 scars on my hand along the index fingers tendon (couldn't use it for a day and even then it hurt like a b*tch) and 1 on my knuckles shot from about 10m away but it still left a massive blood blister and me being me after 2 weeks forgot about it and punched someone...
  18. Reseated the hop nubber and my gun seemed fine for the first 10 or so shots then it started not firing the bb again, narrowed it down to the hop blocking the bb as the gun's feeding fine

gearbox case just above n below where nozzle is. place strips of tape to push hop unit further forward that should allow bb's to enter hop better - might lose a bit of fps but try a couple strips top/bottom

    3. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

should push hop forward so nozzle clears to allow bb's to flow. No big deal if it fails just remove tape and poke the gun up techy's ar$e

    4. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

not saying it is a proper fix but more a test to see if nozzle is still not clearing 101% causing feed issue. Fix may involve 101% exact nozzle tappet plate shaving etc... but only by people who know and can fix the exact issue - like a techie but a good one

  19. Just got my gun back from being repaired (new hop up, air nozzle and piston head) and it only occasionally fires bbs now. Using high caps and dont have any midcaps at hand to see if it's my mags, any ideas ?

  20. He hasn't played yet 😨 I tried to convince him to save more and buy a second hand g&g or ics but he was having none of it.
  21. Yeah he asked for an electric gun so I asked his budget (£20) so yeah jbbg was his only chance
  22. Colonel Kurtz I disagree stongly. What if you're a minor that wants an expensive gun say a gbbr (obvs well into airsoft) if everyone was really snobby about it and wouldn't two tone either you'd need someone to sell it illegally, a older friend with a ukara, a parent with a ukara or to risk it with customs none of which are particularly legal or moral. I feel like sometimes the snobbery around two toned rifles/younger players can make people that are new feel uncomfortable and unwanted i.e putting them off airsoft. ^^ sorry for short unstructured rant
  23. Might of just bought a kitten :P (incoming month of piss and shite in random places around the house) But.. that also means my airsoft loadout's on hold :(

male cats have the most character - either silly as a bag of nuts & dopey soppy sods or mental f*ckers. Plus clawing - kittens have razor claws n teeth, and bring you lots of presents - mice, birds

    3. Colonel Kurtz

      Colonel Kurtz

Is your loadout on hold because of the kitten taking the funding, or because you need to wait for it to grow and it's all part of a plan for a genuine-fur russian winter loadout? :)
