A wee pic from Saturday. It's a scar heavy but not my TM. I borrowed my mates Dboys which had a few mods and was running at 0.99j. The Marshall's tested it and it was consistently between 98-99 and never once hit a full 1joule. Even after a good 50 bbs it never went over. The range was super impressive as well but I did a running dive with it and the connector came loose inside so I then moved onto my mates G&G m4 which was also very nice to shoot

I am now the proud owner of a TM scar heavy! Had to get a UK shop to order it in via china but worth the hassle Also have found a USA based company to do me a ragin bull full sleeve holster. Not a bad week really Oh and went to the annual 6 man competition at billericay on Saturday and my team got 4th out of 12. Just out of the awards but will do better next year.

Going for the second line look? Pretty much what my cousin's unit were using last November, only they didn't have the flashhider at that point. I've been messing around with my L85, trying to optimise it for CQB games. It's not exactly what you'd call... "traditional"... Thing is, both set ups works brilliantly (and if they winds up traditionalists, all the better ). All I need now are some backup/folding iron sights. I do admit that the current flashlight is awful though, so next time Firesupport have the replica LLM01 in, I'll try to get one.

Not sure if this counts, but Week or so back I bought: 1x G&G xtreme 45 - £80 1 x Spare mag - £20 30 x co2 capsules £15 Shipping - £6 ish Total: £121 But upon discovering that the gun fires at 450 fps, I sent back, the gun the spares mag and kept the co2 capsules. Yesterday I was refunded a total of £121.35, Which means I have bagged myself 30 free co2 capsules

So I was fiddling around with my guns today; decided to mix my sights around a bit, I've been having some issues with my new ACOG so I thought I'd try and sort them out, just general tinkering type stuff. But then, I thought, what would an Afghan spec L85 look like, with the irons sights mounted on it? Well, it looks like this: I think it's pretty darn cool tbh, I also found it impossibly satisfying that the iron sights are actually SPOT ON, pin point perfect for engaging targets out to around 50m. Tempted to actually skirmish it like this for a few games. Only thing stopping me is that it seems pointless having gone to the trouble of buying expensive optics and sighting them in properly only to not use them... Might field it like this for CQB where there's a risk of my optics breaking.

I don't usually like to engage in an argument or discussion such as this but given I've had two people paint me as 'doing it wrong', here I go. I had the sight before I started airsoft. I'd need a fairly fucking good reason not to use it – the fact that I use high caps isn't one of them. Both comments are fairly silly things to say, if you had the sight or had the money to buy the sight (and it was indeed what you wanted) then why not use it? Using a red dot does not make me any less or more accurate that it would if I used my iron sights only. Also red dots are used primarily for faster targeting anyway. The reason I use high caps is because it simply means less magazines – you also make the assumption that lowcaps = realism = better. This whole sport is subjective and I don't see any pros or logic in your last sentence. Are you sure you are not being elitist or at least tieing 'high end gear' with people who want the full challenge of realism?

So, now that school has finally finished, I decided to get off my arse and tape the stock of my rifle in Flecktarn. It looks sooo much better now. (note: I sheared off the front screw by accident a while ago, so the paracord at the front is holding it at the front.) The scope also needs redoing.
