Gas Guns

I was wondering if buying enhanced hammer + recoil springs (~150%) would increase the gas efficiency of my WE 1911 and if so, why? I understand that it causes a higher output of gas but I heard somewhere that it can increase gas efficiency, so I am looking for a confirmation and someone to explain. Also, are TM 1911 internal springs compatible with the We-tech 1911, because compatibility between the TM and WE 1911 isn't 100%. I am looking for a recoil and hammer spring set for We-tech but most of them I find just say that they are compatible with TM 1911, and I dont want to take the risk of buying it and wasting money if it doesn't fit. I've bought a propane adaptor and I've been finding that canisters of mixed gas are far more easy to come by than raw propane. Will propane/butane mixed gas work as well? If not then how come?

Hi, first post, be gentle I'm starting to shoot practical pistol. I'm not a registered skirmisher and therefore cannot buy a regular GBB, but instead I believe I can buy a 2-tone. I've looked and looked for a 2-tone TM Hi-Capa 5.1 to be the basis of my pistol, upgrading as I see fit, but I cannot find a 2-tone 5.1 However I have found a HK45 match which by the reviews appears to be a descent gun with good accuracy and performance, and I can buy it in 2-tone. However it appears that upgrade wise it's the complete opposite of the 5.1, i.e there aren't any upgrades! Just broke out the pistol for the first time in a while, I leave my mags slightly gassed as I've heard it saves the seals. Well, this mag was entirely dry, it had leaked somehow, so I regassed it and I could hear the leak, so I dunked it under water and it's not a leak from the seals, it's just pouring out from between the base plate and the mag's main body... There's no visible way to dismantle it apart from two hollow tube/pins towards the bottom end but I've no idea how to get them out, or even what it'd help me do if I did... Has anyone had any similar experiences or knows of anything I could try besides lubing them?

Hi all, I have recently become the proud owner of a madbull moscart shell. What I'm not sure about is whether to store it with some gas inside like a GBB mag or to store it in the fired empty state. I have 4 mags for my pistol and they're getting really bad for leaking, they used to be fine whether I left them gassed a little, a lot, or not at all. Now, if I don't strip them down, pour 8 gallons of grease onto the seals, fasten them back together, wait a few days for the grease to settle, then gas them to leave them in the cupboard... Then they pour gas out as if they're a tap the next time I want to use them. So I'm just wondering if it's time to call it quits and just buy some new mags? Or is it normal to have to go through the 2 day rigmarole of dismantling, greasing, gassing and storing after every time I use them?

Hi All, I currently own 2 GBB pistols, A KWA Glock 19 (with 1 leaking mag) and a WE 4.3 (currently magless) and was wondering if any other mags are compatible with these pistols, other than the original ones. I'm guessing this will be more so with the Glock 19... So I guess my questions are... 1: Do all Glock GBB mags fit all Glock GBB pistols? 2: Which model of Glock GBB mags WILL fit my KWA Glock 19 GBB? 3: Are there any other mags that will fit my WE 4.3 other than the original mags & if so which?. Hey i recently baught a KWA mp9 and havent even skirmished it yet. Then suddenly it dosnt even fire! I mean when it fires it only has a velocity of maybe 240 fps which is not good. And sometimes the bolt and gas expansion chamber dosnt seem to seat properly. And on full auto it fires maybe 2 rounds then the entire magazine worth of gas is dumped in a massive woosh! I have disasembled the gun to give it a clean then relubed it with some silicon spray. No use! I have lost a small stupid pin that holds the trigger sear back like .4 mm further than it currently sits which should not be the deal as i have made a makeshift one and it made no difference. hello i have an hfc m190 gbb pistol. it is co2 powered by the little canisters. the problem is the canisters do not last the 26 round mag. can anyone think of a problem thank you

As the title really. whats it like? i have a plastic slide, and it seems to handle green gas very well, though i want to try a bit of a weaker gas, does anyone know how this compares? Thanks.

Hi I have noticed recently that while using 'abbey predator ultra gas' in my TM 1911A1, for the first few shots, the mag drops out when i fire. I have used a weaker gas and the problem doesnt persist, which leads to the obvious conclusion that the gas is to powerful for the gun, however, in the six months i have had the gun, i have always used that kind of gas with no problems. Is this a common problem? is my gun broken? what can i do to fix it?

Hey folks, I recently bought what I think is a KWA G18c, but when I got it out of its shipping packaging the box has only ASG logos on it. No KWA marks on the box anywhere. And where I think KWA marks should be on the gun have been painted over, as I'm not a UKARA member. So is what I've bought a real KWA...? From what I've seen on the internet the gun looks like a KWA, and it has the serial number on the bottom, it's something like (Three random letters) 911US. Also, what the hell is ASG about? Do they make guns or just get licencing for them or what? Those guys confuse me... Any help would be very much appreciated!

Unfortunately on my last skirmish I lost the rear sights for my HFC HG-185 (Glock 17 clone) GBB pistol. They were night sights (with the dots), but I'm after any compatible rear sights. It's proving hard to find any compatible rear sight for this gun in the UK. Any suggestions? The closest I came was this out-of-stock (and will take 6 months to get apparently) part from fire-support: http://www.fire-supp...ar-for-glock-17 It seems dynatec do a range of night-sights that may include a compatible one. But again, struggling to find a supplier.

Guys, new to this so just getting into the scene. Have a WE Glock 18 which i have just really bought to see what airsoft was about and maybe a pre cursor to having a go at a site. The Glock shoots well but it wont always shoot single shots in single shot mode. its like sometimes it will and other times it will let 2 or 3 off automatic. Would appreciate any advice or pointers to places that might help.. thanks in advance Rich

Looking at the ghk akm as a secondry rifel how would you lower the fps on it nost guns seem to come out at 400 fps would need to be 340-350 fps to be useable

hi guys i recently got a tm glock 17 and it has been working ok untill now, it sometimes locked the slide back too far and it was not due to the slide release i would push the slide down and it would release but now it is locked back and i cant get it forward there is no mag in and the mag release is down i dont see the problem? anyone got any ideas on how to release the slide?

I recently got hold of a WE L85, and having previously used Gas guns, love the actual gun, but hate the gas/propane/CO2 systems which are currently available and would if at all possible modify the mags to work on a HPA system. My idea is to have a HPA tank (with a regulator to manage the Psi) connected to the mag with a quick release system so that I can reload (albeit slowly) while not having to worry about cool down, or venting, and being able to fire full auto. Hi guys, Got a minor problem with my WE G18 C gen 4. The BB's seem to shoot a bit to the left upon leaving the barrel. As I can't zero in the iron sights I can't really work around this. I've been told that it could have something to do with the hop up unit alignment but I've tried twisting it around to no avail. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hey guys, I've had a WE P226 for a while now (approx 6 months) What I have noticed is that the slide and contact with the outer barrel at the muzzle has a slight gap. I notice it causes a wiggle of the barrel assembly. The gap is only around 0.5mm but I notice it wiggles and just wondering if it will affect accuracy during firing. Hey i was thinking about getting the WE baby for my fiancee and was wondering if you guys could suggest some good gas and lubes for it. I have learned pretty fast that a cheap price is usually bad... But a high price isnt always good.

So after firing a few rounds through my Ak today, a silver piece of metal fell onto my lap. I flipped open the receiver and noticed that the metal came off the silver rod that connects through the hammer. Just want to know if this is a common problem and does the Ra tech trigger set come with the trigger pin/rod? Any help is appreciated.

Hi guys, I've had this problem since I had the pistol and decided it was about time to address it. My WE G17 Gen 4 has a really bad outer barrel wobble therefore making the inner barrel (which does not fit snug at all inside the outer barrel) also wobble. I have an old Knighthawk sitting in my cupboard from when i first started airsoft, not knowing much about it could I swap the slide for a standard 1911 slide? I'm not a fan of the indented dimples on it so would rather have it look like your typical 1911 without having to do anything silly like using filler on the indents?
