Having previously asking for my UKARA number on non restricted items I just ask the retailer to put my UKARA number on anything Airsoft related. Since then no real issues but UPS is bloody slow processing anything.

Ah I see, because most AEG AKs only allow a couple of inches of movement on the charging handle - the old slide allowed adjustment to be accessible from the front of the chamber, the dial does not. Interesting. If that is the case, we're talking, Pros: finer adjustments and holds position while firing. Cons: might need a flat head screwdriver (or dust cover off) to adjust.

The gunman Tuddenham halloween game last year and the year before were awesome! There was a great balance between it being larp/special in that they had a drone that blew stuff up, 7ft terminators that fired bbs due to motion sensors, marshalls doing "cut scenes", xenomorphs, predators, a strangely erotic Sarah Connor (was it a dude?) Skeletons hanging from trees (as per the predator movies!) then there was also games happening, with different (but similar) objectives and the game play was great. Normally, yes, most zombie games or Halloween games are meh - however extra special effort was done and it paid off - unfortunately a change in head marshall means I suspect it won't be as good.

As an avid nade chucker I would be a big fan of the TRMRs and regularly use 2 of them in my local CQB indoor site. I would not even bother with using these outside for fear of losing em and more likely to fail. I have had very few fails with these and being the multi shot type I would retrieve em after im hit. IMO it keeps it fair and fun without spamming grenades. Big fan of the timed dynatec and pulse armament nades too, at least with timed grenade you know they won't fail. I've decided to cut back as im carrying at least 4 of them at a time which is a considerable weight and space. Top tip, stick your name on em and paint them a bright colour or fluorescent tape if you play in dark cqb sites...spend many a game wandering around looking for them 😆😆
-
That applies to all impact grenades, except the Brey Tac Thunder B at least. They all rely on hard impact with a hard surface, otherwise you light strike the primer.
-
Get a reusable grenade - but understand their weaknesses. Over the years I have got through at least 6 boxes of the .209 primers (100 per box) and at least 2 boxes of 9mm blanks (50 per box). If I had done the same number of throws with £2.50 disposable pyro, I'd have spent over £1750 (if I could have got them at £2.50 each!). I now carry 2 on me all the time (used to carry 3!) and only use them per life - so once used I don't collect and re use, I only reload it when respawning. As it is, I have spent about £150 on grenades and about £75 more on blanks......I still have 2 ohshibooms I can sell on at probably £100 all in, so my true "cost" is around £125 vs a estimated £1750 it would have cost in disposable pyro and these are conservative estimates! I haven't had any problems with ohshibooms, but I (99.9% of the time) only use them on concrete inside buildings. The only issues I have had with them have been due to me not doing the base up enough. I had a trmr and really struggled to get it to work. I also had a dynatec time delayed one which was awesome as it could be skidded along floors etc. if you play woodland sites exclusively, I wouldn't bother. Using them outside is a nightmare - they're heavy so they seem to find the best hiding spaces, even moderately long grass can make you struggle to find it. They also seem to defy logic on where they go, get kicked etc so often aren't where you would expect. I have only had 1 case of where it went "missing" due to people and the reaction of the marshalls saved the day and it was found on a barrel, outside around 20 metres away from the building I had used it in. With the trmr I used both the original base and multi shot base and had problems with both - the main trouble was remembering if I had a live one in the chamber, there were several throws while a used blank was in the firing spot and you can't exactly retrieve it mid firefight. it was also bigger and heavier. The original base was frequently not screwed on enough, I don't know if this was me, coming lose while moving around, coming loose while arming it for throwing etc. but I found l preferred the simplicity of a pin, the simple 1 bang, 1 use, reload - if the pin is in, it's live and the fact the ohshiboom is lighter. IF I were buying new now, the Frag C would have my money.

Can it be adjusted still via the dust cover/ejection port, or do you need to lift the top cover?
-
The Quake 8s and Ohshiboom are notorious for being unreliable I thought. Whereas the TRMR design is considered the gold standard and very reliable assuming you're using it on an appropriate surface.
-
I don't know how much it costs but Tectonic Quake 8/Oshiboom BFG has better value simply because it holds more primers. I've got an oshiboom and it's amazing at least for indoor purposes. If I'm restricted to one shot I'd invest into Dynatec/SWAT VTG. At least those ones are always go off regardless the surface. Impact grenades have a tendency not going off even on hard surface let alone outdoor.
-
Another vote for the FRAG C here. One thing I like about it is that the safety can be put on and off with one hand and you can tell if it's on or off just by feel so you don't need to look at it (no idea if this is the case for the quake grenades though as I've never owned one)

I can't add anything much different. I've bought from one from JK Army and I gave my UKARA number and it came though customs without any hassle.

I remember a few very good halloween games, including one where a fully costumed Xenomorph crept up behind me and ripped my head off!, in a LARP kind of way of course! 😆

When I bought all of our retired Site Tech's stock there were a number of RIF's in various states of repair in with it, Mostly the S&T G36C's I've been listing but also some MP5's. This is the last MP5 I think, and I'm pretty sure its not an ex hire gun Unlike the other two this one is all black polymer or metal. The Hop adjustment is at the left hand side of the handguard rather than behind the ejection port - the ejection port is solid on this one. The body is black polymer but the top has an inset metal rail, so you could put an optic on it securely. The muzzle doesn't have a MP5 flashider on it, its got a -ve 14mm thread on the end of the barrel with one of the sound amplifiers that look like a short suppressor on it instead. I'm pretty sure the threaded bit is a mod/repair rather than how it started life. There is a bit of reinforcing tape on the top of the end cap where they tend to crack because of the weight and leverage or the metal arms of the stock. It has the B&T logo on the rhs of the magwell (pictured) and ASG cal 6mm on the other side. The mag is a metal hi cap and marked as JG. So this specific ad. is for the ASG MP5 (#3) as pictured with one metal JG hi cap magazine. Tested at ~285fps with 0.2's on my ancient madbull chrono. The price is £50.00 including the P+P. Obviously the [expletives deleted] VCRA applies, so an easily verifiable defence is required for me to sell it to you eg UKARA or similar. If you don't provide it I will ask, so if you don't have such a defence don't waste your time and mine. So I won't necessarily sell to the first person to message me, rather to the first one who provides proof of some kind I am happy with. UK only and Paypal only please. (btw please don't use friends and familly - I don't begrudge them their pound or two, and it makes sorting out the p+p much quicker & easier as address etc. is not shown on a f&f transaction).50.00 GBP

Not sure if I'll make any more Airsoft EM-2's - the pic. is of the prototype I've made - its cnc Aluminium and Walnut and took a lot of time/effort/money to create, and I don't think there's a lot of demand out there that would make it worthwhile. But I learnt a lot making it, and it did gain me the very real privillege of meeting with Jonathan Ferguson and getting to handle (cuddle?😁) several examples of the real thing. Worth it just for that!

Got a Romeo 2 off here and fitted it to the sand viper tonight along with a flamingo rubber. Decided to go with the full length shroud and waterproof extension now the weather's taking a turn for the worse. -

It looks good however weight will be an issue and this is the same for the Quake. The Frag C is a better choice if you plan to run more than one as once you get to 3 or more it because quite a weight to carry but the Frag is much lighter and carrying 6 or more is about the same as 3 Quakes. The only advantage of the Jaeger or Quake is the multi shot options which isn't available for the Jaeger yet. The downside to multi shot is you need to retrieve the bang before using it again whereas carrying a few Frag's means you don't have that issue.
