Supporters TheFull9 Posted August 2, 2012 Supporters Share Posted August 2, 2012 Well, it'd be a bit silly from a logistical point of view for only the army and marines to switch and the rest of us still be wearing DPM.
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted August 19, 2012 Supporters Share Posted August 19, 2012 Some photos from today's "Big Sunday" at Skirmish Airsoft in Mansfield, day after the night game. My first ever airsoft weekender. Shame I don't have my Oakleys, UBACS or Bowman headset yet, this photo could've been much better: It's the site's Facebook page cover photo though, so I'm quite pleased about that My forum patch is clearly visible this time too, so no moaning about it, Ian lol. Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted August 20, 2012 Supporters Share Posted August 20, 2012 Just some basic Motorola thing. TLKR T6 I think. The bowman I'm getting is a lookalike, not the real deal.
MZKaleem
Ahh, I'm thinking about getting a replica bowman and PTT for my radio, just some cheap Binatone off amazon! bowmans look awesome!

Supporters jcheeseright Posted August 23, 2012 Supporters Share Posted August 23, 2012 So it's not quite wednesday... but here's what I'll be taking along to the NAE, excluding clothes, obviously... Looks like a lot of stuff, but when packed away it's actually a surprisingly low profile set up.

Supporters Ian_Gere Posted September 17, 2012 Supporters Share Posted September 17, 2012 Ahh, I'm thinking about getting a replica bowman and PTT for my radio, just some cheap Binatone off amazon! bowmans look awesome! Mate, as an audio professional let me just tell you what I call the company you have just referred to - Belongs-In-The-Bin-Atone. To be fair to them, their gear does last, but I wonder if that's because people try their best not to use it unless they have no other options so it doesn't get the same amount of wear'n'tear as kit that you love. The problem is that they appear to believe that the best balancing act that can be achieved between cost and quality involves sacrificing decent shielding, which results in interference, ie hums, hisses, and break-in from transmitting radio/wireless equipment. Anyway, the Z-Tactical Bowman-copy headsets, one of which Ed will soon have, are good, reasonably priced and look cool... I'm also happy enough with the Z-Tactical PTT with the 2.5mm TRS jack for Motorola Talkabout series and XTR446's (which also fit Cobra MT series). BTW, does anybody know of any patches which say "Chairborne Infantry" on them?
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted September 23, 2012 Supporters Share Posted September 23, 2012 Here's some photos of me from yesterday's game at Skirmish. It's surprising how much better my loadout looks compared to last time when all I've done is add an MTP UBACS and a headset.
Supporters M_P Posted September 23, 2012 Supporters Share Posted September 23, 2012 I don't get on with helmets but with all the rest of your kit, it definitely looks the part
Namaco
I don't get on with helmets but with all the rest of your kit, it definitely looks the part Gotta agree the helmet looks a bit weird on Ed xD I think a cap would look better lol
Cerbo Knight
I dunno, I kinda like the helmet. It adds to the look imo, but only when it's actually fitted properly and it's not swinging around getting in the way... that's why I don't wear my helmet The rest of the loadout is very nice too, I'm warming to multicam... Gotta get my own loadout sorted soon.
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted September 23, 2012 Supporters Share Posted September 23, 2012 I think it looks cool, Ed, helmet included. Obviously you still need to sand the rubber to a matte finish and I reckon you should add the band too. If it doesn't fit properly, tell me and I'll sort it out for you. Oh, and you need a coyote dump pouch instead of black :-D
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted September 23, 2012 Supporters Share Posted September 23, 2012 I've got a massive list of stuff I still need lol. If I get an MTP or Multicam dump pouch and my Oakley hard knuckle gloves ever arrive then I'll be happy with it though. But I still need a pistol holster and pistol mag pouches, the correct knee pads, the correct boots, the correct helmet, a CamelBak and the correct rig lol. Basically the only parts of it that aren't going to change are the UBACS and trousers. I still need 6 more Emags as well, 'cos I'm still running with 6 STANAGs and 6 Emags. Around the end of October/November when I get paid I'm planning on getting the Ares spring AWSM .338, as well as finishing the L119 project, so I'll probably have a whole new loadout in the works before I've even finished this one lol. In short, it's not done yet lol.
kungfumonkey
Well here its is gents my first attempt at a full loadout i know theres a few odd pouches but there off my osprey just smoke and frag pouches. what yah think
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted September 27, 2012 Supporters Share Posted September 27, 2012 I really like it, looks pretty awesome if you ask me. The kneepad clashes as bit and I'm not a fan of the M4, or its paint scheme. But the camo and kit look awesome. I like the chest rig, if you can get one in Multicam then I'd be tempted to pick one up.
Supporters TPI Posted September 27, 2012 Supporters Share Posted September 27, 2012 Why's your house on it's side and how do you manage to stand on the walls? But it doe's look pretty good! is their an actual First Aid pouch their though?
