Every single time I have tried to engage with this forum I have been flatly ignored or told I need to be a higher rank to post etc.

Last night I chose this section because it says above you can discuss non air soft it even says ( real steel shooting ) I was trying to warn people about a dodgy product.

In no way was it advertising or selling , it was quite thr opposite, I was looking forward to some engagement on something that is extremely relevant and I know no one has yet seen pictures of regarding a dodgy company Hodge podging a&k svd air soft parts into a terrible non air soft product.

And yes....my post is deleted does anyone new ever join or engage here it seems all a bit silly.

On the whole I have had no support for my air soft projects in 8 years from this place .

It seems to be a cult rather a community that welcomes anyone.

I didn't even leave a link to the item and just merely suggested people Google it .

Your post wasn't deleted, it was hidden & locked, there's a difference.

While I appreciate you were trying to give people a heads up, anything to do with airguns, sales or discussions, isn't permitted here.

There must be better suited forums for airgun discussion, Facebook pages, or even YouTube reviews you could post.

Just not here.

& no, its not a cult, just an airsoft community, many projects are discussed here, loads of advice given, but there are some specific rules, which clearly you're not following.

Its not rocket science🤔

PS your other posts, the ones you claim to be ignored on, are all pertaining to the same cheap rifle/upgrade you were having issues with.

Could it be that no one here has tried to do the same "upgrade" with the same kit, & therefore didnt feel qualified to confidently advise you on the best course of action ?.

Four posts on one subject (IN 6 YEARS😏) isn't a great example of you trying to "engage" with the forum, in fact it just shows that you expect the hive mind to be here for you, as & when you need them, & clearly not the other way round.

Maybe you're right to give up, although I don't know how we'll manage without your input 🤣

Your initial post was five years ago, on a niche aftermarket kit for a niche platform. After almost three years you came back again asking for help with the niche aftermarket kit for the niche replica (Even more niche in 2025 due to much better SVD options readily available) and then your final post (Before this one) was again asking for advice on a pretty specific setup which I assume not many people have done - Especially as you was asking for the longest inner barrel when most would look for shorter in something like a GBB SVD.

engage here

You haven't done anything to contribute to the "community" or be engaging here other than seeking help and then throwing a fit because nobody answered 🤷‍♂️ As our glorious cult leader Tackle said, anything Air Gun related isn't permitted (Even in the Off-Topic section, it's an AIRSOFT forum) which most of the community is aware of - however upon checking the rules @Tackle I didn't see anything specifically mentioning no air gun talks, could be worth adding?

This is probably the best community platform for Airsoft to be honest, it's upkept and maintained and has staff that actually do look after the site. The members are great here too. I'm sorry you had a negative experience and nobody helped you with your SVD questions. For the WE I would highly recommend the Heavy Recoil Club discord server as there's a wealth of information for them there 🙂

Sorry you feel that way but as Austeyr said, you need to engage yourself beyond throwing a hissy fit because you didn't get a reply.

I like to think I'm quite well versed on the P90 AEG platform and am happy to offer advice or talk about my own experience with rebuilding gearboxes, choosing replacement parts or upgrades, fitting mosfets, etc. I'm getting more clued up on the MWS platform and am happy to share knowledge and experience, even with those way more knowledgeable than me. Unfortunately, with the SVD platform, I'm neither qualified nor competent to offer any advice on it, let alone on aftermarket parts, so I stay out of that lane. Replying with "sorry, I don't know" helps nobody. I'd imagine that reason was prevalent among others who say your other posts this year and didn't reply.

Just because people don't reply to a topic, it doesn't mean there's a cult, nor does it mean the OP is unwelcome. It's great when people here do happen to know about certain niches and they share that knowledge. However, when you conjure up an expectation in your head that strangers will have such knowledge on niche topics, that's on you. If you do reach out to the HRC Discord server, it's probably best not to throw any tantrums there either if you don't get your way.

As one of the users who replied to your original topic, I have to agree with Austeyr.

The A&K SVD isn't widely used or known at the best of times. Followed up by adding in the CO2 System which as I previously stated, will push it well over any skirmishable limits only makes it even less popular for UK players.

If you've used or had questions on almost any other platform in that time then I'm sure you would have been able to find help and knowledge, but being limited to one aging and uncommon platform over multiple years is just like playing on hard mode, unfortunately!

For such a niche topic, and as much of a cesspool as it is; Reddit might be a better place to find knowledge on something like the CO2 SVD System.

*Edit

Looking back, I saw you mentioned buying the mancraft PDIK kit.

Did you not ever install that or get it running?

It could have been worthwhile to update people on your work if so; I'm sure the PDIK would have produced better results than the CO2 kit, and you could share your results with others here.
