Is there any scheme in place to allow members to make small donation, or big if they're flush, towards the running costs of this forum?  With Arnies now gone I would hate to see this great resources to go the same way.  I know these things take time and effort but what about a run of patches and stickers too?

Second thing Is these blooming non airsoft adverts at top of pages, I assume this is a cost thing to cover costs, but any chance they could at least be more relevant to airsoft than Funeral Adverts!?

Anyway keep up the good work.

You mean you don't get the ads for obviously AI generated saucy pictures of middle aged tv presenters?

Careful you'll get the Welsh members all hot and bothered with talk like that.

Sir, that is mutton you're thinking of.

The M in Wales' favourite porn category; MILF.

Or for the more discerning lover who wants a bit of maturity without too much grey wool, you'll want a Hogget.

Lamb 0-12 months (hard to catch)

Hogget 12-24 months (spritely with attitude)

Mutton 24+ months (doesn't care what colour your wellies are)

?

The ads on this forum really are annoying me. Keep popping up every page I visit. Minimise it then seconds later a new one pops up.

It's not a discussion, it's a plan.

Don't fancy my chances with this one.... looks well warn out already. Hahaha

On the ops question. It would be great to keep the forums going. Easy to navigate, find the right sections etc etc.

I actually prefer them.

But unfortunately, newer generations just want to post and move on Like with other platforms.

Plus I've actually found that some people don't like forums, because you can't delete/hide negative comments.

So on fb, if you make a post. You have control over who can comment etc. And still come out smelling of roses.

Here, they have to face the honest truth, and can't hide from it!...

Plus they can't be arsed to do the research themselves, where they can just keep asking the same 5 questions over and over hahaha.

But I'm game to keep the forum as much as possible.

I'd be interested to know how much it costs to run a forum. I'm not tech minded, so is a genuine interest here?

I fully agree with what you say about people controlling their posts to make them look rosy and positive.

I do photography as another hobby and the amount of times I post constructive criticism on someone's post who asked for a opinion on their shot then to have my comment deleted because they don't agree with my opinion to help them out, happens way to often especially with the younger generations who think they are the bees knees because their mates say they are.

Happens way too often hence why I moved away from Facebook and barely comment anymore on Instagram posts.

Turns out the adverts on the top of the screen are still there, at least on my mobile, after you hide them with the little arrow.

When I try and tap on new notifications it sends me to this clickbait ad site for air conditioners.

They are becoming rather annoying.  I would be interested to know the cost of running the site; if the other options were to keep the adverts or lose the site, I would be willing to contribute to the running costs.
