If he makes a M240B, i'd be tempted.

Looking at the comments on the Youtube video, he's bringing out an AK in 2025.

Well that was 2 minutes wasted. It would be nice if they actually showed us something useful in a video for once, rather than focusing on the Sonny Quinn from wish.com

I quite liked the look of it until I saw that changing the battery was a complete ballache.

That was my exact though too, on watching one of the video reviews. Not great amount of space. Faffing around with Allen screws.

As regards a M240, Lambda defense were supposed to be bringing one out but it seems to have gone quiet on that front.

Is that the same one that is a team up with DCA?

On paper it would be good as Lambda externals with anyone else doing internals would be great. But not at the silly price point.

But even that has gone silent for a long time.

The annoying thing about LMGs in the UK is that the majority of sites do not have rules where they benefit over your typical assault rifle. I know Rift allow a little increase in joule limit and a longer full auto when mounted but it also introduces an engagement range. You also have to carry a sidearm due to most sites having semi auto only areas and under 10 metres.

That's exactly right, they had a few promising updates from DCA. That a batch would be due in Summer or that they were expecting  a prototype soon.  Seems to have gone fairly quiet. The externals would be the major selling point. Rather annoyingly in their MK48 series, their gearbox has differences to a standard 249 box. There's a decent thread on Arnies airsoft about it in the review section.

As regards LMGs, some sites have ammo limitations in milsims, which benefit the wielder. Good for morale on the team and a bit of variety. Still think it's not the best LMG (Again that battery arrangement is head scratching), at least something different. If it leads to some players choosing it over a drum mag equipped PCC, it's a good thing.  Will be interested to see what direction their AK goes in the new year.

Just watched the airsoft camMan video on this where the gun malfunctions and fires continuously and potentially blows a mosfet (something smelled burny and it wasn't the battery). In the comments nov explained the issue and said he rectified the problem on all guns, which is good, but it's not so good that was missed in product testing. I suppose a version 1 of anything is a bit of a risk as there's no substitute for testing in the real world rather than a lab.

I quite like the handguard, but you lose the built-in bipod.

I think i'd rather buy a A&K and upgrade it, the longer barrel, bipod, fixed stock looks much better.
