This thread is over three months old. Please be sure that your post is appropriate as it will revive this otherwise old (and possibly forgotten) topic.

Im looking to buy a gbb pistol in future and would like to know whats about thats good and going to be reliable.

Id like a metal one with preferably a classic design.

Odd sizes and unique mags etc doesnt bother me as long as it is a good pistola and fits the above descriptions im willing to put up with the niggly bits.

There are pages of info on here depending what you want and budget. The short of it is.

TM do good gbb pistols a glock 17 are everywhere but are good little pistols

The hi-capa range have been praised for reliability.

We do metal ones but they arent as good as TM. Bit are around 30 quid cheaper.

I'll save you the hassle:

*You really like an HFC you've read good things about.

*We recommend twenty different guns that are massively superior. This goes on for 13 pages.

*You buy the HFC anyway.

Done.

In all seriousness, if you want a metal pistol, which is a classic design. There's only really one choice.

The WE Beretta M92F

You don't get any more classic than an M92.

They're super easy to strip and maintain / fix.

And with a good hopup rubber you'll be hitting targets at a good distance.

Have a look at the kjw range, most if not all are full metal out of the box.

im a big TM hi-capa fan, own 2 4.3's, but also have a WE 3.8 (which is pretty crap), & I picked up a kjw 5.1 a while back, so far it's proved to be very good, reliable, accurate & a nice kick, plus I'm pretty sure kjw make a makarov & 1911 models.

edit: had a look, it's not the makarov they do its the cz75, still nice, looks like the bastard lovechild of a 1911 & a browning hi-power

I did have a look at the other threads but wasnt much info im looking for.

Im looking more for simple basic pistol like a makarov or m1911 that will fit in with the cold war era gear i have.

A search on "1911" will bring up topics that you just need to read through, for example these two topics:

Im not looking for a high capa or glock hence why i started this post.

Even both the posts you have just tagged

Which is why I posted topics about 1911 guns, which you are interested in, and they have information on the best ones or issues with WE pistols.

So don't buy the high capa or the glock? These are just brand examples. If you search for "Tokyo Marui" or "WE" with your preferred sidearm type on google you'll get some hits.

I'm kind of hesitant to even get involved in this discussion at all considering you blew us off last time we tried to help you with buying a budget primary. Did you even get anything in the end?

CYMA CM.513 apparently.

Currently seeking low caps for it.

He's going to find it hard to hit anything from his armchair.
