Hey I've been looking at some plate carriers but not really sure what ones to get. I think most of them are too big for a 5.2ft kid. If anyone knows a decent tight plate carrier for a 14 year old kid, that'd be great. Thanks

LOL. Thanks for that, I will be carrying my toy action man around the field, he'll go in my right pocket.

I'd suggest something like the TMC JPC copy http://www.shootercbgear.com/product_info.php?products_id=5281

I was just looking at some JPC's myself. One problem, I'm only buying plate carriers, if they come with action men. :P thanks!

Found this, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Viper-Special-Ops-Jump-Plate-Carrier-Platform-/181902850045?var=&hash=item2a5a4137fd:m:m_Mj1ZdEucmnhr_EL9L3plA has those hypalon shoulder straps, supposed to give a tighter fit, a good price compared to some other models. Seems good :)

Pretty sure they're not Hypalon. Description actually calls them "strong rubber".

JPC is probably your best bet, since the cummerbund can be adjusted for length by overlapping it at the back.

Your absolute best bet is to get a real one sized for small plate bags, since you're 5'2" medium plates will be MASSIVE on you, the down side to that being that they're quite expensive at £200 ish in the UK.

Just found something out, my waste size is 27 inches. I'll look into a JPC ad they seem to be nice and tight

Ew, 200 quid. Lozart did recommend me a plate carrier earlier, it has straps, and seems quite small: http://www.military1st.co.uk/201042-003-condor-sentry-lightweight-plate-carrier-tan.html

I'm 16 and I use the condor sentry that lozart suggested. I've put a double stack triple mag pouch on the front with a radio and utility pouch on the back. I would suggest putting some kind of plate in it to help it keep shape. All I did was cut the shape out of a cardboard box and double it up with tape. It's really adjustable and really light weight so you can move around a lot faster.

What has your waist size got to do with a plate carrier? it shouldnt be any where near your waist. You pick them based on your plate size, and being 5ft2 id imagine thats a small.

Ok then. I like the idea if the cardboard. Thanks for the review.

That's what my 14 year old son uses, he's got pouches on the front with 2 polymer fast mag pouches on the rear with a radio pouch

I also doubled up on cardboard with tape to add rigidity to it
