Cheers guys, just wanted to double check that's all It'll take a few days to get to its destination as its been sent 2nd class snail mail by site owner beastmode
-
Its a bit late to take it to a retailer unfortunately as I've already posted it now as the site owner did the donkey work plus I'm not in a hurry to buy any RIFs, I dont think there's any retailers that sell airsoft weapons where I live I'm not a massive dick (I'm not stupid enough and know what I'm doing) to run around in public with my weapon's, everything's always locked up, my kids know not to touch them without my say so, they know the rules of them and there always locked up and in the boot when travelling
-
Thanks lozart and Josh, your replys confirm what others have told me, just waiting to be registered on Ukara and email confirmation now then I'm completely covered I won't be buying any RIFs until after xmas TheGrover - I've already done my 3 month stint and everything was handed in on sunday (23rd Nov) now I'm just waiting to be registered on Ukara database
-
As I'm now a site member (didn't cost me anything for site membership) I am assuming my 'membership card number' is also my 'ukara number ' ?? I know I'm not fully covered for 'defence' reasons until I'm registered (they asked if I wanted to post it myself and so I did) and I can't buy RIF's yet until I'm registered or can I ?? Nick
-
As your an engineer, why not just make what you have in your hand to the required length, I posted a similar comment a while a go In the general section look for thread title 'G&G outer barrel' there is a link to what someone suggested to me entitled 'this is what you need' Nick
-
I would say it wasn't looked after very well also but a good clean, re-grease, better wiring and a deans, even on 7.2v, you certainly heard a difference
-
Everything's ok with it, I was using a 7.2v NiMH when it should have been 8.4v so tried that and much better Piston etc is ok now as who ever owned it before smothered it in grease so cleaned it all of and put silicon oil on all the O-rings All teeth are there so it came down ultimately to me giving my mate the wrong battery to use so he's going to order the right ones thanks for your replys guys, I know what to look out for in future

I'm sorting out my friends g36kv as it was firing at about 100fps yesterday at our skirmish site I've got the GB and attached motor out, I believe it has standard gearing with a high torque motor Does he get A - a new high speed motor B - a new set of gears As he bought it 2nd hand, I cleaned and shimmed the gear box, way to much grease inside, retested and its very sluggish, wiring, trigger and trigger contact are all fine
-
Welcome back dude, your before my time aswell and I'm sorry your ex took you yo the cleaners I dont understand the mentality of people who do that
-
I agree with you lozart, they are family, any owner of any pet will say the same The Grover - how about a welders mask ?? Replace the glass with airsoft appropriate glass I'd say the dogs saying 'your beers a treat so wheres mine' lol
-
Dog........mans best friend and will always be Sadly my sisters dog passed away due to injury's, he was a pure bred collie and was rescued as a pup by her, he was 14 years old, a brilliant dog I'm sorry for putting in the sad news but I love dogs, I love there personality's and them being more than a dog as a member of the family You've all got brilliant family members and here's to many years of you all together

400 would be to wide mate, try a 280 instead as thats smaller and nearer to the 300 size I mentioned I'll take the gear box out of my glock and measure it tomorow When looking for a new motor, I always check the "nominal voltage" as it tells you minimum amd maximum voltage it can take
-
A lot of rc makers bought specific sized motors for there vehicles but people wanted better so company's started making better motors but the same physical sizes The numbers just refer to size of vehicle, boat or plane they go in as there are different size classes of rc models
-
I saw that video aswell, all the shimming does is the same as shimming a gear box and I can't see using the old stator makes any difference
-
Ian - all rc motors have a voltage rating and 11.1v going straight to the motor will fry it for sure, the most they can handle is 7.4v, doubling up will not help as the current will be split between the 2 wires and will slow the motor down a bit, I'll have a look and suggest some decent motors that will work, I'm thinking of changing to a high speed motor in my 18c as I've done the lipo conversion aswell and the wiring heats up on full auto Just had a look and a good replacement motor (I use a lot of there motors in my boats) is a Graupner Speed 300 size motor, 6v - 7.2v but will be ok if you can go up to 18 guage wire
-
Brushless motor won't work, you need a very specific Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) they both have 3 wires to connect to the motor Unless there is 3 wires (which there isn't) going from the motor to the board A brushless motor is a 3 phase motor The motor in the link is a 180 size motor, check www.Cornwall model boats.co.uk they have a vast array of motors in varying sized motors, voltage range needs to be from 0v - 7.2v as most have a nominal voltage (starting voltage) of 6v While you've got the chance, I would swap the wiring for something a bit thicker
-
Ok, cheers buddy, dependant on age depends on wether I have to bring my boys (I hope not)
-
No worrys jay83, I certainly do know the place buddy wonder how much its changed (I hope the mess hall and NAAFI are still in the same place) everyone wants to be special forces but are they any good at it ? I doubt it Me personally as ex infantry, I love patrolling around and getting into fire fights if needed, directing fire control and calling on strikes and reinforcements Certainly been a while for me, is there a minimum age limit for this game ??

Well said sabre We will always remember our American cousains who fought along side us shoulder to shoulder since the great war
-
I remember longmoor from the army cadets and the army aswell, last time I was there, I was involved in a week long British armed forces exhibition, V.I.P's etc from all over the world were there, I even met Michael Hesiltine he was a right twat I'll talk to a few guys I know and see if there up for it
-
I agree with what's been said above Even RIF's should be stored in a locked box or cabinet and away from bb's/ammo At 4 years old, they are still like a sponge and will soak anything up but may or may not know/understand things, I would lock them away from him and explain to him when he is 7 or 8 when he has a better understanding and has a bit of knowledge of the 'real world'. Its hard to talk to such young kids as we adults can't comprehend how they think because of our life experiences already lived I'm a father of 13 & 14 year old boys and also a 3 year old daughter, I consider myself to be lucky as I served in the army and was in the army cadets so I have 10+ years of fire arms experience, my sons have passed basic weapons handling with the army cadets and that's when I bought my 1st weapons, even now I'm still present when they handle our pistols and rifles, everything is supervised by me (even cleaning them) I sat on my sofa one day and placed a springer SA80 (safety off & empty mag on) on the floor, one at a time I told them to pick it, thankfully they checked the safety catch 1st, put it on safe, took the mag off and cleared it
-
Like the 2 of us sabre, there are many serving and served people on this forum You have the 'Veterans Association' and we have the Royal British Legion
-
Wait until Tuesday when its officially armistice day sabre, people will still do exactly the same Even the people who didn't believe we should've been in afgan and Iraq will still be silent for 2 minutes
-

-
