  1. I thought I heard that they are working on an AEG version too? Could be wrong though Classic Army also made an AUG too, but tricky to find these days. I think it was once regarded as the best of the TM Clones.
  2. It could also be the trigger pack - it's quite a complicated Heath Robinson affair with a long connector rod to disconnect the trigger. There's a few reports of them wearing out, or just flat out not working in semi. I replaced my neighbour's trigger pack as he was having some issues with the trigger reset. I have his old one on my desk at the moment.
  3. Even if the OP doesn't respond to your post - I would be interested to hear how the repair works out for you.
  4. Interesting - I don't recall having such problems when I re-wired and serviced my neighbour's poorly ICS L85 last year. He wants me to upgrade his hop soon (I think he wants an EnglishKiwi hop unit) so I will pay attention to the selector gubbins.
  5. Given the lethargic nature of the gun (my neighbour's ICS L85 is as slow as molasses on a 7.4v - around 9-10rps) and the very limited battery space - I would be looking at what could be done to fit a warhead motor personally. Lower current draw and a very decent bump in performance over the stock ferrite ICS unit should help with overcoming the gun's shortcomings. I do enjoy taking ICS L85s apart though - they are a doddle to work on compared to some.
  6. Airsoft would still live on. Just with neon-coloured guns.
  7. Yeh - got it in the end, hence my edit.
  8. It's the pricing that puts me off that one - another £15-20 gets you the excellent Perun Hybrid unit with the wiring already soldered. Should drop into a Specna GB with no fuss. NanoASRs can be had for £20. Yes, you still have to solder, but the two signal wires is easier to deal with than two power wires plus a signal into the switch for cable routing. Obviously you don't get AB and precocking, but you do get the ability to hot-swap the unit later on if it dies, or you want to upgrade. But again, for me, the Perun Hybrid is the way to go. Edit: Looking at the wiring diagrams, you could bodge the AB++ onto the existing X-ASR wiring. Not sure I would want to do that personally but it looks like it could be done.
  9. Yeh - the X-ASRs do that. Especially if you put a few more amps through them (i.e. an upgraded motor). Don't bother with another one. They are shit. And the wiring setup differs from the Nano-ASR, Nano-HARD, WARFET etc so it's not plug'n'play. I would go down the Perun Hybrid route personally, but a cheaper option would be to either fit a complete replacement switch/wiring set (non-mosfet - will work for years on a 7.4v LiPo), or fit a cheap simple dumb mosfet (like the nano-ASR) and at least you can easily upgrade to the likes of a WARFET later.
  10. Bulldog = SRC + Custom Branding. Use it, abuse it, if (when?) it breaks, sell the parts and move on. Don't spend any money on 'upgrading' it, other than perhaps a new hop rubber. There's a good chance that it will soldier on just fine, assuming you don't expect too much in terms of ROF and Power.
  11. She's a beauty - and only 20-30min up the road from me as well. Just need to convince the missus that £18k would be money well spent...😜
  12. Welcome. There are a couple of sites calling themselves 'Spec Ops' or 'Special Ops' - which one are you referring to? Loads of info on here, with plenty of advise on buying guns and gear.
  13. Yep. It's hard to tell from compressed video audio though. Could very well be a stripped gear (spur or sector). In either case - it's a strip-down and rebuild job.
  14. Stripped Piston would be my bet.
  15. Fair points. There's a fair chance the seller knew exactly what they were doing sticking up that particular advert.
  16. IMHO - these type of adverts should be reported (through the normal reporting mechanism) for the moderators to deal with. They can use other methods of enforcing the forums rule (i.e. issue warnings) rather than outright banning them that would occur with the spam-flag function. It might just be a genuine mistake on the part of the seller (unlikely in this instance, I know, but not impossible), with a little bit of 'education' needed to correct their actions. But again, that's just my opinion - the mods may feel differently.

  18. Same. Can't really go wrong with a TM-Clone G36.
  19. Yeh - I've flagged a few now. This new system seems to work quite well. I also try to keep an eye on members registered in the last 24 hours - I've found a few that way before they have posted, where they are clearly identifiable as a spam account - e.g. one had a bag of powder as an avatar and various overseas phone numbers in their bio.
  20. I ask myself that when I look at the stack of ICS M4s I've got. I enjoy working on them - and built one from literally spare parts - but do I need 5? Of course not. But it's good to have spares, right? 😜
  21. They look good - do you need to apply any kind of clear coat (lacquer) over the top for protection?
  22. I still kick myself for not picking one up when they first released on TG for £114. Luckily, the (as new) one I bought a few weeks was part of airsoft retirement kit bundle, so once I offloaded the stuff I didn't want it cost me less than £100. Quite please with that.
  23. Can't expect much from a gun already punching above it's price class. I think it's pretty admirable that they got an optical ETU functional and in production for the cost they released at, when the likes of G&G, Evolution, Cyma et al are still using microswitch-actuated ETUs. Don't get me wrong - cost compromises have been made in some places - the bushings on my M904G are very roughly finished and the GB is a touch 'wide' (I had to use nearly 40x 0.1mm shims to stop the gears rattling like maracas) but I think they've done a decent enough job all round.
  24. That makes sense. I might pick up a 28TPA motor for mine. Should run quite a bit cooler and more efficiently than the stock motor.
  25. What motor are you running? - I tried a 16TPA SHS in mine and I was getting overspin.
