  1. It's 3d printed. The STL file can be found on Cults3D (search Specna Edge 15 degree drop stock). Can't link here because that would be a bit naughty.
  2. If it's an Edge 1 or 2.0 - the removable spring guide should be threaded for the buffer tube screw anyway. The drop stock adapter screws into that. Source: Designed my own drop stock adapter for a Specna Edge a few years back - worked fine.
  3. You can report their advert if you feel that it's dodgy. I have reported this particular individual.
  4. This is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me at the moment. And it's AI generated - which makes it all the more 'wrong': And there's this Tool cover which I actually prefer to the original:
  5. Interesting. I've only done the Bunker once with @Shamal back in 2022 I think. It was good fun, if somewhat intense (my boys flat out refused to go based on YouTube vids). I drive past it semi-regularly now that my eldest is at Portsmouth uni - I keep meaning to throw some kit in the car and do one of the evening games. I personally prefer Valiant (not that i've played much in the last 12 months) - it's pace and style of play works better for me and the venue itself is amazeballs. I had heard on FB of changes coming with UCAP in terms of the management and operation of the sites - it'll be interesting to hear what they are doing with the others.
  6. Just to note - we don't get those reports. Everything that we Spam Mods clean up is as a result of regularly checking the forums throughout the day. The reports go to the 'proper' moderators.
  7. Well, compared to last year, the Spam is being dealt with much quicker. Previously, we were reliant on the legacy admin/mods to clean up the spam which made the forum unusable at points. Since the appointment of Spam Moderators, the Spam has been dealt with in minutes rather than hours. I think there is more that can be done (hence starting this thread) but we are still in a better place than 12 months ago. I believe 4 spam mods were originally appointed: @Tackle, @RostokMcSpoons, myself and Rocketdogbert (who no longer seems to be a forum member? Anybody know happened there?)
  8. I average 4-5 a day, including preemptive bans on new users (some are easily identified). Just banned my first actual spammer for today.
  9. What is the product, and what is the problem with it?
  10. I used a Lee Precision Airbrake piston on a build a few years ago. Made only the slightest bit of difference to the noise (more...'thuddy'...) and I was paraniod that the air brake bit might shear off at some point (it was the delrin version). Nicely engineered otherwise. Never used one since though - I much prefer XT POM piston heads from @ak2m4
  11. Just to be clear - was it an actual email, or a forum PM that the scammer sent to you? If it was by PM, you can report it in the message itself by clicking on the three dots and selecting 'report':
  12. The difference, for me, is the load times. Whilst I'm an Xbox user (yeah yeah, I know), the new generation has a game loaded and ready to play in seconds rather than minutes. Playing older games on series X makes some games that could be really frustrating on old gen much, much better to play - Fallout 4 springs to mind. On the other hand - as a born-again PC gamer (finally bought a new rig at the beginning of the year) I now barely play console.
  13. This. I used to have a mahoosive box'o'tools that I would drag to each game day. Problem is - if you have a technical issue that requires those tools, you should be doing it at home. I take one gun plus a spare per person, so myself and my two sons - 6 guns in total. Gun breaks mid game? - run back to the safe zone and grab a spare out of the bag. Great excuse to buy more too.
  14. My eldest son runs Dye I5s: They are on the smaller side of Paintball masks - I can't use glasses with them - but I have a big wide head so I use Empire E-Flexs instead. You will probably get some glasses fogging issues under the mask, my middle son and I use goggle fans connected to a poundland powerbank mounted on the goggle strap, which pretty much completely eliminates it. Paintball goggles + Fan unit has been by far the best combo that I have found over the years for eliminating fogging when using glasses.
  15. Gotta love the BBC. Just list all the 'controversial' aspects of the Glock platform, ignore the fact that it has been deployed to numerous warzones, issued to police departments the world over, and oh....become the standard issue sidearm for the UK military for the last decade. But it was in the Matrix, a much more important aspect to report on....🙄
  16. I use these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143048166056?hash=item214e55caa8:g:0hQAAOSwyYRcD-CB Link above is for the exact retailer I used back in 2020 when I ordered them. You'll need a terminal crimping tool to do it 'right' though: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154287918094?hash=item23ec46cc0e:g:ACYAAOSwuLJf~InA&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwP135fNtGdaCFCq6K0kaJ9mp%2F%2Foe%2Fp%2FENLgH2qXrLAXibdzuXe5p8aZohafUzuhecIB7sa2m1M5m60lWxcvpdNKLrt6BCgnTLWTtgcjyXCMulj1hCBfZtAIt%2B%2B4LKvufbQM7xvre2RORgq0aKzBNbpVGHwSO5AnqDEdML4IUrVb%2Faab5CGmjH2Ef8kedpCqAwswmA2k8MRkqU7RzH8QuE%2Fto000cukd%2BCZD3KwrAF0A95%2B0hlkQxJAN%2FMPOP3VkPGw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7T_lM6VYw
  17. Nope - I believe these are freshly imported from CA. Chatting with staff a few weeks back at the Z1 shop - they are trying different manufacturers and/or going back to old ones that they've not used in years to diversify their offerings. Latest CA guns should have a Mosfet, but in typical Z1 fashion they have not included any kind of product description. No Idea - but Fire-support have near monthly deliveries from ICS so it's worth asking them. These guns also have an electronic burst fire mechanism (S3 Trigger unit) which separates it from most of the other manufacturers. Classic Army are one of the 'old guard' manufacturers, along with ICS. Obviously they came onto the scene well after TM, but they were pretty much the first to sell M4s (or in their marketing 'M15' with their Armalite licensing) with metal bodies as standard in an era when you would buy a TM and spend a small fortune on metal body kits. They kind of fell away in recent years to manufacture other things (hence my PPE comments) however for the last 12/18 months or so they have been pumping out new guns again. I've had a few CA guns over the years (got a UMP at the moment), I would say that they would sit in that middle ground you mentioned.
  18. If I was in the market for an MP5 AEG - I would be looking at the ICS CES-P series - when they are back in stock. They have stamped steel welded receivers, and spares are readily available from Fire-Support. I wouldn't bother ICS' cheaper metal offerings (pot metal) as they are pretty easy to snap in half with the crap design of the front end. Other brands, like JG and Cyma are ok for the money, but I've seen lots of threads on broken mag releases and stocks over the years - and spares can be tricky to find in stock with UK vendors. Classic Army might be a good shout now they are flowing more freely into the UK. It seems that CA have now have remembered that they are actually an Airsoft manufacturer, having spent over a year exclusively making PPE for Covid. Zero One recently added Classic Army guns to their stock inventory: https://www.zerooneairsoft.com/products/Classic-Army-MP5-A5
  19. @Jedi_Master & @proffrink I have been playing whack-a-mole with the spammers for the last couple of days. I've nuked loads, I'm sure the other spam moderators have done the same. Can we lock the ability for new users to create new threads without approval from admin/spam moderator? So they create a new thread - but a admin/spam mod has to approve that thread to show to the wider masses? We would be able to tell pretty quicky if these are legit users, and the 'probationary' period will end if we are satisfied that what they post is appropriate to the forum.
  20. Internals are decent enough - full strip down here:
  21. Fire-Support have had loads of money out of me over the years (probably tipping into the several thousands now) and I've not had any problems. They are one of the oldest airsoft retailers in UK.
  22. Rental guns generally have hard lives, but don't expect an OMGAMAZEBALLZ performance increase with an entry level gun. Slighty better - probably? The key difference having your own gun would be the fact that you can upgrade as time goes on. From what I've seen of the Flex guns (I've had hands-on at the Z1 showroom a few months ago) - they would make a lightweight and nimble platform for some modest upgrades (i.e. motor and hop rubber/nub) at a reasonable cost. Internally, they are the same as the CORE series. In fact - Fire-Support are flogging them for £90 here - which is the cheapest I've found: https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/specna-arms-sa-f01-flex-aeg-carbine-replica-black
  23. Madbull's DD FSP rail is a good, if somewhat expensive choice. You'll also need a DD style barrel nut tool to install. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/madbull-daniel-defense-12inch-fsp I would be looking at a complete free-float rail instead of a bolt-on extension - much less chance of wobble given Airsoft's tolerances - or lack thereof.
