I designed one a few years back, and printed a prototype to test airflow - but preferred a goggle-mounted fan solution so never developed it any further V2 was to be fully enclosed with an integrated battery to go in a counterweight pouch.

I've seen users post short vids (measured in seconds rather than minutes) when troubleshooting a problem (i.e. rough sounding or misfiring gearbox etc.) but anything longer I would suggest hosting on YouTube and linking on here instead.
-
Coincidentally - the last registered forum user was also on the 18th Jan - @Jedi_Master indicated that @proffrink suspended new registrations until a new spam solution could be implemented. I wonder if that is related to your issue?

Account > My Attachments. 100Mb is the allocated amount per user. Not aware of an upload limit - but unless you have large PDFs or similar I don't see why your upload would be anything other than Kbs rather than Mbs, especially if you follow Mr McSpoons example and optimise the images beforehand.

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Speedbird_666 replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
Here we have a 'Not a trader - honest!' advert for a JG G36c that's £20-30 more than retail: -
The spam is being cleared within minutes, rather than hours of posting. That's not the issue really. The issue is the fact that the spammers can register and fill the boards up very quickly - which goes back to the original point of this thread - is there any mechanism to vet the new threads created before appearing to the wider masses? I know that other forums have this mechanism - particularly for use of the classifieds/Sales (airgunforums springs to mind - every new sales thread is invisible to everyone until approved by admin). I would rather a new member has a short probationary period, even if that's just a handful of posts to acertain that they are legit airsofters.

Banned as a scammer due to your advert.
If you feel this is unjust, please contact the forum admin.

Yeh - that's new. Looks like they've trimmed the original Edge 2.0 line back quite a bit looking at Specna's site (there were about a million handguard combination/models at one point) Edge 2.0 previously had 'conventional' receivers and receiver extensions - maybe Edge '2.5' would be a better description for these?
-
That's not an Edge receiver - at least not a 'traditional' M4 Edge reciever - that looks like a completely different OEM (specna makes nothing themselves, it's all outsourced to various companies such as AIM TOP, E&C etc). In this case the spring guide forms part of the receiver extension. Sorry, Can't help with this one - that receiver extension is proprietary and will require a bespoke design...
-
It's 3d printed. The STL file can be found on Cults3D (search Specna Edge 15 degree drop stock). Can't link here because that would be a bit naughty.
-
If it's an Edge 1 or 2.0 - the removable spring guide should be threaded for the buffer tube screw anyway. The drop stock adapter screws into that. Source: Designed my own drop stock adapter for a Specna Edge a few years back - worked fine.

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

You can report their advert if you feel that it's dodgy. I have reported this particular individual. -
This is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me at the moment. And it's AI generated - which makes it all the more 'wrong': And there's this Tool cover which I actually prefer to the original:

Interesting. I've only done the Bunker once with @Shamal back in 2022 I think. It was good fun, if somewhat intense (my boys flat out refused to go based on YouTube vids). I drive past it semi-regularly now that my eldest is at Portsmouth uni - I keep meaning to throw some kit in the car and do one of the evening games. I personally prefer Valiant (not that i've played much in the last 12 months) - it's pace and style of play works better for me and the venue itself is amazeballs. I had heard on FB of changes coming with UCAP in terms of the management and operation of the sites - it'll be interesting to hear what they are doing with the others.

Well, compared to last year, the Spam is being dealt with much quicker. Previously, we were reliant on the legacy admin/mods to clean up the spam which made the forum unusable at points. Since the appointment of Spam Moderators, the Spam has been dealt with in minutes rather than hours. I think there is more that can be done (hence starting this thread) but we are still in a better place than 12 months ago. I believe 4 spam mods were originally appointed: @Tackle, @RostokMcSpoons, myself and Rocketdogbert (who no longer seems to be a forum member? Anybody know happened there?)

What is the product, and what is the problem with it?

I used a Lee Precision Airbrake piston on a build a few years ago. Made only the slightest bit of difference to the noise (more...'thuddy'...) and I was paraniod that the air brake bit might shear off at some point (it was the delrin version). Nicely engineered otherwise. Never used one since though - I much prefer XT POM piston heads from @ak2m4
