It was my first gun too - about 18 years ago. Definately 'Old Skool' compared to modern offerings - I have sold much newer/better guns for around £120 or less so I'm going to say £90-100 tops.

Is it really worth it for such a budget blaster? For the cost of a 'tech' you may as well buy another gun. I would be using it as a learning experience on how to tech your own gun. Worst case is you bag up the bits and stick it in the boneyard if you can't get it working.

I've only played twice this year - I've been selling off some of my Airsoft stuff to thin things out to the essentials. I've been airgun shooting loads instead: about 6 times a month. I've become slightly obsessed with 25m Benchrest.

Viper Vx stuff has a similar issue in that they also have non-compatible clips - but the viper ones could be modded to remove a sliver of plastic on the sides of the clip. This allowed me to attach a chest rig to a Thing2 clone. Got the email last week - good to see them back - but a lot of people have taken their money elsewhere when they jacked it in last time. My last lot of LiPos (admittedly not airsoft specific) came from China Hobby Line - much cheaper than Hobbyking in some cases. Hopefully they will rebuild back (or even exceed) their previous stock availability.

This is coming out soon - should be a much lower cost base gun (albeit all plastic) to stick some upgrades on. Both are Edge 2.0 - the only difference is the cosmetics. Internals should be the same, assuming they both came out of the factory around the same time. There have been rolling updates to the Edge series to resolve QA issues, so there might be minor variances in component choice.

Any plans for a V2 GB based design? You could call it the ‘gnat’ or something along those lines…😜

Fantastic job on this @AK47frizzle Looks like a huge step up from the original version in terms of design.

I'm thinking a small drift/parallel punch (screwfix here) and a small hammer. Place the mag in a vice (don't overtighten!) and use the punch at a 45 degree angle to gently tap out the remaining valve body from the threads. Something like this:

These ones were only £100 new, but anyone who knows anything about airguns would probably steer well clear. You might be able to get £20-30 for it, but it's basically car boot fodder.

The GB Shell/Selector/Tappet Plate/Mosfet/Trigger are all proprietary to G&P - much like ARES guns. Might be better of trying to fit another V2 Gearbox altogether into the receiver?

Ah ok, let you off - as you were trying to develop, not play the games...😜 There is lots of money on the platform. But it's bloody hard to be 'proper' successful. I'm actually flying out to San Francisco next week with my (18yr old) son for the Roblox Developers Conference - he is a legit Roblox Developer (Gameplay mechanics coding) working for one the main Roblox 'partner' firms. Took him years to get to the point where he could make anything other than pocket money from it. But he now earns nearly double my salary.....😩

Umarex are licensed to sell H&K branded products in Europe/USA (under Elite Force) - generally OEM'd by airsoft manufacturers such as VFC, S&T or Ares. HK hates the civilian market with their 'real' guns, so it's unlikely they will ever offer any kind of product to airsofters directly.

I think you expect too much from GZ/NAF. 'Good' gameplay eludes that site even on a 'standard' skirmish day, so sticking 3000 players on it will definately not help matters. Again - I would bet my left nut that Bravo players are saying similar things about Delta. Can you vouch for the 'honourable play' of the other 1.5k players on your team? I don't think so.

I'm sure there are plenty of Bravo players bitching about Delta too.

I'll counter with JT Proflex or Empire E-Flex for those with larger/wider spectacles. Oh, and Profiler > Grillz.

After many years of dicking around with various solutions - I settled on a Paintball mask + own design goggle fan. Never fogged and the added face protection has been very useful playing at CQB sites.

Is the issue the magnification? 1.5x seems readily available here stateside
