  1. @Jedi_Master & @proffrink I have been playing whack-a-mole with the spammers for the last couple of days. I've nuked loads, I'm sure the other spam moderators have done the same. Can we lock the ability for new users to create new threads without approval from admin/spam moderator? So they create a new thread - but a admin/spam mod has to approve that thread to show to the wider masses? We would be able to tell pretty quicky if these are legit users, and the 'probationary' period will end if we are satisfied that what they post is appropriate to the forum.
  2. Internals are decent enough - full strip down here:
  3. Fire-Support have had loads of money out of me over the years (probably tipping into the several thousands now) and I've not had any problems. They are one of the oldest airsoft retailers in UK.
  4. Rental guns generally have hard lives, but don't expect an OMGAMAZEBALLZ performance increase with an entry level gun. Slighty better - probably? The key difference having your own gun would be the fact that you can upgrade as time goes on. From what I've seen of the Flex guns (I've had hands-on at the Z1 showroom a few months ago) - they would make a lightweight and nimble platform for some modest upgrades (i.e. motor and hop rubber/nub) at a reasonable cost. Internally, they are the same as the CORE series. In fact - Fire-Support are flogging them for £90 here - which is the cheapest I've found: https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/specna-arms-sa-f01-flex-aeg-carbine-replica-black
  5. Madbull's DD FSP rail is a good, if somewhat expensive choice. You'll also need a DD style barrel nut tool to install. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/madbull-daniel-defense-12inch-fsp I would be looking at a complete free-float rail instead of a bolt-on extension - much less chance of wobble given Airsoft's tolerances - or lack thereof.
  6. I once saw a Bob Long 2k2 Timmy with a prototype (raw aluminium) Z frame at the European indoor tournament around 2003-4. It was gopping. And the ICD Bushmaster looked even worse with one fitted. Thank god they didn't become the 'norm'.
  7. This advert is COMPLETED!

  8. Flex from here (£90): https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/specna-arms-sa-f01-flex-aeg-carbine-replica-black I was quite impressed with the Flex series guns I've seen in the Z1 showroom. Most of the CORE guns have metal rails - which jacks up the prices. Internally, there's little to no difference between them (confirmed at the 10min mark).
  9. That's for PF account holders. Joe public gets this: I don't recall them specifically calling out 'Air Rifles, Air Guns and Air Pistols' previously - just 'low powered air weapon for sporting use' which is what I tell my local post office lady when sending a RIF. Looks like a loophole that's been closed. PF48 minimum compensation is now £150. But I wouldn't hold my breath for a claim against them relating to a RIF based on the guidance above.
  10. Warq are out of the business of selling to us mere peasant airsofters - moving to LE/Military contracts for force-on-force training exclusively: And good luck getting spare lenses etc... doesn't sound like they are particularly helpful with supplying them.
  11. Been following you for a little while on Facebook - your name's come up in Airgun circles quite a few times - I have a couple of airgun parts that could do with coating (barrel and cylinder). I'll drop you a message on FB once I've gotten round to stripping down the gun.
  12. Airgun shooters are using Plumbers Mait from screwfix to line their targets - it acts like a non-newtonian fluid to dissipate the projectile energy without ricochets. Infinitely reusable if you flick the BB's out every now and then.
  13. The minimum I would use (and actually currently use) are Howard Leights like others have said. Having had (and eventually selling) 3 sets of Peltor XPs over the years, the HLs are about 90% as good for a fraction of the cost. I have tried some cheap Aliexpress electronic Earpro (a Walker razor clone) and it was monoaural - so no situational awareness at all. Binned it off fairly sharpish.
  14. Thanks Captain Obvious.....😉 Problem is - most of my stuff is images to help with specific technical problems - or gun reviews etc. Once you delete those images, the posts lose their context and the next person that needs the same help won't be able to refer to those posts. 100mb creeps up very quickly - especially when you post a lot on here, even when you resize to try and keep the filesizes down. I periodically go through all my attachments, and I get a few MB back - so it's just about manageable for me - just annoying.
  15. Bin that H&K style stock and stick a PTS EPS on it. Loads of room for wiring. The do come up for sale around £35 second hand- I should know because I've sold 4 of them recently on here...but that's another story.
  16. Same boat here - but I guess MBs = ££s and there has to be a cutoff somewhere. Most users registered on here will never get above a couple hundred posts so for 99% it'll be a non-issue. But I wouldn't mind borrowing some of the capacity from the 1-post wonders and spam accounts...😜
  17. UCAP Valiant is pretty amazing as a CQB venue - it's just off the Dorchester high street. Greggs is a 2 minute walk for a lunchtime pasty too. If I lived nearer to Dorchester it would be my regular site.
  18. Off the top of my head..... Bravo Romeo (Bere Regis) Camouflage Airsoft (Christchurch/Bournemouth) Ground Zero (nr Ringwood) UCAP Valiant (Dorchester Prison) It depends on whereabouts in Dorset you are moving to. There's quite a few sites within a ~1 hour drive of Bournemouth if you venture into Hampshire.
  19. You are unlikely to get a response on this one from the OP - this thread is over 3 1/2 years old and the OP hasn't been online for nearly 2 years. The G33 hop unit is easy to source from fire-Support - they restock ICS parts regularly - Just add an email alert to notify when it's back in stock. Might take a month or two - but generally every ICS part I add to my wishlist/notify list does becomes available to buy eventually. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ics-g33-hopup-chamber-unit-set If you have concerns - I would buy a spare hop unit and just use your existing one until it breaks. Or just sell the G33 and buy something more generic like an M4 or G36C.
  20. IIRC 6mm Bushings - but it was a long time ago and I have had many, many RIFs since then. Oh, and a 2-piece hop unit too. Fun times.
  21. It was my first gun too - about 18 years ago. Definately 'Old Skool' compared to modern offerings - I have sold much newer/better guns for around £120 or less so I'm going to say £90-100 tops.
  22. Is it really worth it for such a budget blaster? For the cost of a 'tech' you may as well buy another gun. I would be using it as a learning experience on how to tech your own gun. Worst case is you bag up the bits and stick it in the boneyard if you can't get it working.
  23. I've only played twice this year - I've been selling off some of my Airsoft stuff to thin things out to the essentials. I've been airgun shooting loads instead: about 6 times a month. I've become slightly obsessed with 25m Benchrest.
  24. Fiver says it's a stripped piston.
