  1. Well fuck me, I had an AKA Viking as well. It was all-black, PBX milled (I had imported via a guy operating as 'Alpha Paintball' direct from AKA), no eyes though, although I believe subsequent owners had it drilled. Also had an Angel A4 Fly and 06 Speed - both with vert grips.
  2. Yeh - I've just ordered a 25mm fan to sit on top of my paintball goggles after my (normally pretty good) Fogtech DX wipes completely failed to deal with the moisture last week. Made a game in the afternoon nearly unplayable. I'm planning a 50mm blower setup to sit on the back of my son's bump helmet (exfog style) with a tube to the goggles, but I don't personally run a helmet so a smaller fan on top of the goggle frame is the best option for me.
  3. I guess you were an Angel shooter then....😉
  4. I knew I'd seen it cheaper somewhere - but couldn't remember the vendor! I picked out Z1 only because I saw it in the store last week. Worth a punt for £9 IMO.
  5. You go with something like this (Yes, I know it's gopping to look at)
  6. Sorry Mr Borg, it's all fizzled-out. It was quite amusing a few weeks back though.
  7. Have you tried another magazine on the gun?
  8. Nope - no updates (that I'm aware of). I think as word got out he was banned from a number of FB Groups.
  9. Could be quite interesting, but as @Samurai says, it could become quite stale, quite quickly for regular players if the layout is too fixed. @Enid_PuceflangeI doubt that the venue will play out 'tactically' once the Speedsofters arrive. My perfect CQB site would be fully modular (wooden buildings on industrial castors) to change the layout, low cap mags only (to reduce the trigger spamming) and separate game days altogether for speedsoft.
  10. Manufacturing such a BB would be a complete ballache. If the steel core was not perfectly centred within the plastic moulding (thus creating an off-centre centre of mass), then you would get some very odd ballistic results when spun through the hop unit.
  11. Indeed. I would love a VFC Robinson Arms XCR which also has a proprietary GB. Perhaps I should of said 'if VFC made a particular M4 derivative I wanted'
  12. Another thoroughly boring (but wholly necessary) purchase from @ak2m4 for my 'money pit' G36K. *Sigh* - I'm never buying a boneyard gun again...
  13. Nope. The series 3 requires a Delta Ring to fit. I don't believe they come with one out of the box. Delta Rings are on older style M4s, and the 'real steel' Series 3 rail (the Daniel Defense Omega) was intended as a retrofit for older guns with those old style fore ends. It definitely is NOT any kind of upgrade for your gun, at very best it would be described a side-grade (I see it as a downgrade personally), and will add a good chunk of weight onto your gun in the wrong places. If you don't like your particular rail, I would suggest taking a look at AliExpress. Much cheaper, and largely the same gear that Nuprol sells (Nuprol only re-brands cheapo chinese kit and adds a huge mark-up).
  14. That's a dick move by them. Their courier is not your problem. I hope PayPal handles this favorably for you.
  15. Congrats! There is light at the end of the tunnel after all. I just hope things sort themselves out in the coming months to make ordering from TG a worthwhile proposition again in the future, if they ever decide to ship to the UK again that is.
  16. If VFC made a particular gun that I wanted, I would buy it, remove the entire stock gearbox (and sell it), then slap an E&C one in there. I cannot fault the quality of VFCs externals, I had a '416 that was gorgeous to look at. But when it came to shooting, it was as rough as a camel's arsehole.
  17. It looks lovely. Shame it's a VFC. At least it's not an Ambi Selector. The US Spec is different to the rest of the world apparently. No ETU in the US version, just a regular MOSFET. I'm sure it will spring up in the next month or two with UK Vendors.
  18. We all had to start somewhere. Some basic kit and a decent set of boots will be a big help to start with. Make sure you don't skimp on eye protection. Best bit of playing kit for a beginner is the humble dump pouch - You can carry a spare mag or two and a bag of BBs and not have to fumble with pockets. Simply loops onto any belt you've got in your wardrobe. They only cost £8-9 posted from AliExpress, or £12 (not inc Postage) from a UK supplier.
  19. I think I might take a punt on an AOLS barrel to replace the tinfoil one in my son's G&G. I Spent the last of this month's 'play money' on your site yesterday, so hopefully you'll still have some barrels in stock come payday. Any sign of the ZCI consignment?
  20. @Spartan09 They did a great job on those patches. @MiK I know they accept .Jpg etc, but I want a 'cartoonised' version of the avatar with blocked-out colours (think The Simpsons rather than a photo) to simplify it for patch making. I'm using Photoshop at the moment as I suck at Illustrator.
  21. I was planning to use Stitch me up: https://www.stitchmeup.biz/ Just gotta work out how to use Adobe Illustrator again (to create the Vector file) - It's been a good few years since I last touched it.
  22. I was toying with getting my Avatar made as shoulder patches for the same reason.
  23. @Rogerborg If you have any problems with the GB shell, I have barely-used spare if you need it just for the cost of postage - I wont ever use it myself. The Edge I have came with a dual O-Ring piston with bearing. I don't rate it though - the second O-ring means that there's quite a bit more friction on the piston's rearward-stroke compared to something simpler (such as the GearParts POM Head from AK2M4). I'm not a fan of metal piston heads in general though TBH. Perfect airseal with a change of Piston and Cylinder O-Rings though. My (or I should say my Son's) gun had no grease nor shims, burred cylinder, rough GB casting (which I polished-out) and a collapsed bearing after a few hundred rounds. I was chasing issues since with the GB (inconsistent Semi, dodgy Mosfet) and in the end it was easier and more cost effective to replace the GB completely. But this gun was purchased a good 18mths ago and was one of those 'cursed' batches with little to no QC. I keep being reassured that the issues have largely been rectified with subsequent batches and the gun is 'safe' to purchase, but I still struggle to recommend the Edge Series as a first gun for anyone at the moment. I saw the £140 model and have been tempted to get one to try out, but I've become a bit of an ICS fanboi so I'm saving my pennies for another one of those instead
  24. Looks good, and much nicer with the correct trademarks (not that I'm a stitch bitch). Shipping was quick, what seller did you get it from? I could do with one on my CQB blaster.
  25. Nah - it would be the end of RIFs, but the 'game' would continue, albeit with two-tone guns. Whilst that will put certain players off, and the industry will take a hit as a result, but it wouldn't kill the hobby off completely.
