Bye bye pile'o'shite Specna Edge Orion gearbox - hello E&C replacement thanks to @ak2m4 Took the removal of the bolt catch mechanism and a tiny bit of dremelling to fit the Edge series receiver but the gun is shooting nicely now. -

Old skool 'new old stock' ICS M4 Commando with Stubby Stock. So old, it still has (somewhat crappily implemented) Cybergun-Licensed Colt trades. It weighs practically nothing - I will be be keeping this one as light as possible. -

I'm in Burton, Christchurch. It's just a short trip over the Avon Causeway for me to get to the site. -
Camouflage Airsoft - New Airsoft Venues
Speedbird_666 replied to CamouflageAirsoft's topic in General Discussion
I'm probably going to book into the Bournemouth game in May, seeing as it's only 10mins from my front door. @CamouflageAirsoft how will the day be run? I've played Paintball on the site, and some of the games I played just wouldn't work for Airsoft on the small game areas, for example the bridge game was a bitch even with paintballs - you could shoot spawn-to-spawn way too easily - with a 450FPS Airsoft sniper - you're fucked if you are on the other team. And that middle field in the 'valley'. That's going to be mental with 30v30 and full-auto guns. Will the games run across larger areas (or indeed the whole) of the site instead? If you are going to use Paintball Marshalls, trying to get people to play Paintball games, you're not going to have a happy group of Airsofters. I'm sure you have all this covered - you run a slick operation for Paintball, but a little more info will help the Airsoft crowd understand if it's the kind of venue that works for them. **Edit** My bad. I can see that your website has the games and maps. Adrenaline looks......tight..... -
The TM promo video was, quite frankly, ridiculous. Dudes on Snowmobiles, shooting BB's at each other. Gotta love Japanese weirdness. The gun itself - it does tickle my interest, but I'll hold off until an SD variant is produced. As @hitmanNo2says, there's a lot of mileage in the MP5 platform. But I would give my left testicle for a NGRS AR-18 though.

Well, it's been officially announced - NGRS MP5A5:

Looking pretty slick, did you solder up the deans on your gun yourself in the end? -

Patrolbase had stock, most models have now sold out, but this one is still available: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/specna-arms-sa-e23-edge-2-0-tm?pv=15519 In theory, great value for money. Having been burned by Edge 1.0 though, I'll reserve judgement until there are more reviews for 2.0. -

Just you wait - £1200 is cheap compared to a lot of Systema PTW builds. An HAO-based build will be well over two grand, maybe closer to three with gucci real-steel bits hanging off it. Than there's GBLS DAS, which is £1500-£1800 for the base gun. -

Pretty sure its a first gen version if it was originally front wired. The newer ones (2015 onwards) are rear wired out of the factory along with a sprinkling of other changes. I quite fancy one. No idea why though. -
I think you are mistaken. I have both Plastic and Metal receiver ICS M4s. You can tell the plastic receivers a mile off by the extra material around the rear receiver pin that encroaches into the upper receiver. The carry handle, rail system, outer barrel and upper rail may be metal, but the upper and lower receiver are not. Stating otherwise is misrepresenting what you are trying to sell.

I think @Tacklenailed it with his idea. Four of these ITW Nexus Square loops sewn onto the outside of the trousers for each leg (two a side). Pass the knee pad strap through them, means no way to slide down. Clever and very cheap if you are handy with a sewing machine. -

Yep. And Viper Elites Gen 2s can be had for £55 here. -

Viper is hardly pricey, it's very much at the lower end of the price scale for those style of trousers, although the quality is reasonable for the money paid. Good enough for most people's LARPsoft/BBWarz.
